Evening all!
You know how things always come in threes, well if you get to six do you have to wait until nine things happen (three lots of three)?

Ebob broke the light on the van, I was trying to vacuum up the New Years mess and the vacuum got sick (working again for now), one of the dogs managed to get herself locked in the back room (asleep under something) and broke the screen door trying to get out when nature called, hubby went to mow the lawn and the lawn mower wouldn't go, we went out for dinner last night and the car wouldn't start when it was time to come home (turns out our battery has done very well to last more than 6 years and the fact we had no warning it was on it's way out is very unusual), and when I got the vacuum going again I managed to pull over the mini tree we set up for Mum and broke half of the ornaments.... Grrrring here...

I am so sorry! I've just reread my post and the swearing is just horrendous!!! I hope I didn't hurt anyones ears....

Bean, have you heard from Gail?

Look on the bright side, Suzy. Tomorrow can only be better! (I hope)

Very quiet here. Everyone must be recovering from all the holiday celebrations.

Just dropping in for a few minutes - is anyone around? We've just got back from seeing the Rocky Horror Show - a great night out, whole lot of fun. Took 2 daughters, 1 son, 1 almost son-in-law, and Rob! Daughter 3 didn't want to go - she's busy getting things ready for moving into her own flat next week. Things will be strange here when she goes, but she's very excited! :)

Ok, well no-one's around, so I'll say goodnight! Hope everyone who had a bad day gets a better one tomorrow, and that all the sickies get better quickly. Good night! :)

Good news from Cockatoo. All systems go.
Suzy..... a smilie for you..... Don't ya just hate days like that? Remind me to tell you of the "Chocolate Incident" some day when I have some time.

I need to finish my brekkie (in front of the pooter), then hook up the hay hauler to my tractor and bring a load of 10 rolls from a farm about 10 miles away. We're already running low on hay here, only about 35 rolls left, so I bought 60 more a few weeks ago. It's been to muddy to bring them back here until today. It starts raining tonight.

The hay gets eaten at the rate of 2 - 3 rolls a day. They weigh about 1,500 lbs each. (680 kilos)

Good morning All. I am having trouble getting motivated today. I only have two more days and I go back to all my little kiddies. I wish winter break was longer than two weeks. Only ran into one student in the two weeks.

RENA, congratulations on the stop smoking. I stopped about 8 years ago, about this time of year. I had a really nasty upper respiratory infection, could not even stand the smell of someone else smoking. I quit for that, decided if I could stop for a week cause I was sick, I could stay stopped! I have not had another upper respiratory infection either!

Suzy, June's right, in that batteries often go without warning now. You just have to hope that you're dressed respectably and that you're not in the middle of woop woop. Hey, think what would have happened if Doggie hadn't been able to break the screen door!

HEIDI, that is a lot of hay. I am sure you will be glad when spring comes and pasture grass can feed them! I see the rolls of hay stacked in pastures. some keep it covered, some let it sit in the rain.

Good Maen, Everyone! Just popping in with no time to read but wanted to say Hello! I hope you all have a great day! (At least we have sunshine today, but cold temps and strong winds.)

JULIE, can you share some sunshine? It is cloudy again, scattered fog and rain. No sun forecast till Wednesday! I need sunshine! Temps are warm though, mid 60's next couple of days.

MizT.... I store as much hay as I can inside barns. If those fill up, the hay goes under giant tarps. If exposed to the elements, it loses it's nutritional value.

Brekky is nearly done. I should take off soon.

I am finally able to get myself slightly motivated. I have two boys who are going stir crazy and I will not let them play video games all day. We are going out. Don't know where yet. Maybe I will surprise them. One of them is looking over my shoulder.

One final thing..... Suzy... I should wash your mouth out with soap! All that swearing! Work! Vacuuming! Shame on you!

Rena, congratulations on your 1 year anniversary of not smoking. I am proud of you. My father smoked for about 60 years and finally quit 3 years ago when he ended up in the hospital with pneumonia. I am so glad I never started. It is not easy to quit and I am proud of all SA'ers that have done it.

Hi Dylan! Bedtime for me though. It's 1.30 in the morning in Australia - in my part of Australia anyway!

Queensland doesn't have daylight savings, June, and I want to sleep in tomorrow after spending today washing walls and windows. If I go to bed too early, I'll wake up too early.
