Just woke up, and was very confused as to why I was dressed and not in pajamas. I thought it was morning. Hadn't realized that I took a nap.

Picked up my bifocals...have been using them for about 5 years now. I also have regular reading glasses all over the house.
Suzy - I got them for the exact reason you're speaking of...in stores and such it is a total drag to keep getting glasses out so I can see print.

Wow Heidi, it never occurred to me that "fossicking" isn't an ordinary word - just looked it up: apparently it is from Cornwall and Australia - literally, has to do with prospecting. From Wikipedia: In Australian English, the term has an extended use meaning to "rummage". Your word for the day!

Mariana, we were watching the game, but once BAMA let them score the third touchdown, hubby got up and went out to the dome and his computer hehe. It is not fun when you are loosing to the underdog. those Utes came to play football

Haven't been shopping yet but have printed off your recipe ready for a cooking bee...every time I buy butter it goes rancid so I have finally learnt to buy it when I need it...have you ever tried freezing butter?

I feel like I'm in s-l-o-w motion. After midnight, and haven't started feeding the dogs yet. Better get my rear in gear, and do it.

I always freeze butter. Otherwise I waste at least half a pound.

Defrost in the fridge or microwave (carefully).

That's interesting - I never heard of freezing butter. On the other hand, I only buy it when I'm baking something special - we usually have one of those low-fat margerines for every-day use. (No, it doesn't taste aything LIKE butter!)

Well, I have to make myself BEAUTIFUL! (or try, anyway!) We are going out to dinner, then off to the Rocky Horror show. Should be fun - will catch you all later! :)

Today it is one year since I quit smoking.

Rena. I quit nearly 10 years ago. How'd you do it? I just stopped, cold turkey.

Congratulations Rena, and I bet you feel better for stopping. And think how much more money you had to stend on your trip!

I was licky. I never started so did not have to quit. My Dad smoked but the only one in the family.

I have had a lazy day, did some washing but also watched a movie on TV.

It was nice having the house to myself
