I don't think this site has the same problem. The people that leave their spouse because of a chatroom would find another reason to leave their spouse.

My boys are outside playing so Rachel, my dog, came upstairs to keep me company. She has two beds, one downstairs and one upstairs. She is my only girl so I have to spoil her a little bit.

Morning everyone.
You have a hubby like mine Heidi.
"I only have the problem of explaining it to Idiot Husband. He can't grasp the concept of being friends with people I haven't met face to face in person."
Mine thinks I am mad. At one stage he was even going on about me talking to the neighbours too much. But I have said, get used to it. This is me. It gives me much pleasure and I am not giving it up. Just like me meeting John and Jane for crosswords. That is another bone of contention in this house.

Viv, enjoy!!! Some husbands just will not understand that a woman can have a part of her life that is not dependent in her husband. Mine is finally getting used to it.

Thank you also to the people who sent me a christmas card. I did not put my return address on the back of the ones I sent out and 4 were delivered to my MIL house. I just received yours from MIL yesterday June. Thank you.

Also a new digital camera. Another Olympus but this time it is 8mp. I will put some photos on my page later.

Viv, good for you! I have taught my girls that if a boy/man tries to dictate who they can and can't talk to, they should run away as fast as they can. It's fine for him to not like their friends or family, but if he tries to stop them talking to them, then watch out - a possible abuser in the making!!

Viv, you made out like a bandit!

Nola, I have considered leaving my spouse for some of the great cooking I read about on here! Only temporarily of course...

Broni, I'm glad you made it home safely. Going out here is like going on a dodgem ride at the moment. Sooo many tourists! I try not to mind as our local economy is dependent on them...

Viv, my hubby will not be happy when I sign up for Skype, but he will have to get used to it. He has figured out a long time ago that I will do what I want. My mom figured out that I was independent and stubborn by the time I was 2 weeks old. At least that's what she told me.

Well I must go make the bed etc. I guess.
My next Avon campaign is due to be submitted next Wed. It will not be as big as the Christmas Eve order thank heavens. I am still struggling with this tiredness, but do not return to the doctors about the thyroid med. until the end of January. It has been awfully hot too which has not helped.

Suzy, I agree with you about the tourists. South Florida is the same. When it gets cold up north, people come here to visit. There is a whole group of people, called snowbirds, who spend 6 months up north and 6 months down here. They come here during our winter when it is snowy up north. It can be annoying sometimes, but the economy depends on it and most of the people are pretty nice.

Viv, you may need to get that thyroid checked sooner. I have been on thyroid medicine for 17 years and can tell when the dose needs to be adjusted. Tiredness and weight gain are two of my main syptoms of wrong dose.

My bro is as skinny as a rake and I think he has thyroid problems - doesn't talk to me about them. I have noticed that he is very strict about what he eats and drinks. When he was around 2 years old he had radiation on a lump on his forehead. Back then they weren't as accurate with their aim and later in life they found out his thyroid was all shrivelled up. There is apparently a higher than normal rate of thyroid cancer in people who had the same treatment he did.

Sorry for disappearing like that. I just downloaded Skype, and set up the account. Then IH came in and we had a phone convo with a neighbor who's selling their place (divorce). We're trying to buy 10+ acres of theirs adjoining my hay field, for more hay and road access.

Tami.... I have been on thyroid meds for several years now, too. Weight gain and tiredness were my main problems as well. When the Mono hit, I assumed at first that it was the thyroid. I have to have my levels checked every 6 months.

Mine was diagnosed when I was in the Air Force in basic training. I had some problems and they sent me to the clinic. It was scary being 1,000 miles away from home and not knowing what was going on with your body. They did the initial treatment and then discharged me. I was in the service for two whole months.

Mom was very happy when I came home.

Does the military discharge people for controllable medical conditions? um, well, as I think about it, there might be problems in meds supplies in combat.

That was exactly why. It was put to me as such "if there was ever a time I could not get to my medicine, I could die" Since woman are not allowed in combat, I didn't think it would be a problem, but they did not agree. The military was something I had thought about for a long time, at least I can't say "what if" I tried and it did not work out.

I don't have any problems telling my friends/family about my friends on SA. Because Richard and I met on a chat forum they all understand. Also have no problems with being on here for the same reason.. I'm lucky.
I'm also lucky I have my own laptop and we have a wireless network so no one has to move over to let me get on line.

Nothing broken yet Heidi.

I remembered another thing that happened though. Hubby was filling the sink to wash some dishes and was distracted by one of the girls - lots of mopping up needed....
