Brenda, we have wireless, but nothing yet to make it usable on more than one computer at a time. It's planned, but there are too many things on the todo list at the moment.
Hubby is replacing d2s bike tyre so she can ride it today...

I had a few episodes of starting to fill the kettle then doing something else, forgetting the kettle until I could hear water dripping off my worktops.
My kitchen floor was clean all the time from all the mopping up

Hello lovely SA7 people. Hubby back at work tomorrow so I will hopefully have time EVERY day to visit my favourite place - SA7. Not necessarily his fault, we've just been busy with the festive season and family. It has been great but tiring.
I'm on Skype if anyone wants to talk to me send me your skype name by PM.

Hi Cyn! Another week off for my hubby, and Mum is due back today - which will mean I'm around less than usual....
Brenda, hubby and I laughed that at least the floor was clean... I'd rather plan the floor washing though.

Suzy, having hubby who is in IT, we seem to get all the gadgets etc. As soon as broadband became available we got it, next step was to set up the wireless network. At one stage a few years back we sometimes had 8 computers accessing our broadband at the same time. It's not quite as bad now normally the highest number accessing the network at one time will be 6 laptops.

10.30am here and I still haven't had my shower. Must do that soon.
The discussion about Hubby's opinions of Sudoku friendships - my hubby thought I was nuts but agreed to come with me the first time I met up with anyone from this site (Susan and Vicki) - he's been OK since then then and was with me when I met Viv in Port, and Rolanda, Billy and Mary in Perth and of course we stayed with the wonderful Albany Anne - so he's almost a convert now. My daughter came with me when I met Broni, K, Meg and Vicki another time. I think they both felt better afterward knowing that these people I talk to are normal regular people - but to me, you're all special!

Wow Brenda! That's a lot. Our connection wouldn't support 6 computers, we'd be crawling through slower than dial up! Apparently there is a faster one that we could have accessed, but it was much much more expensive and didn't have the option to reduce speed if your usage limit was used up, only to be charged extra. The risk of surprise bills with kids using the connection was too scary to consider....

We actually drop our speed recently, but the company we use keep changing the speed for our package but don't increase what we pay. We pay roughly £20 ($40 australian) a month so not too expensive. But as Richard needs it when he is working from home so the cost isn't an issue.

I don't have a problem using the computer. My hubby doesn't like the computer and my kids have to ask permission to use mine. S1 has a computer in his room but no internet access. I monitor what they do online. Too many crazy people out there in cyberspace.

Too true Tami.
My 2 eldest grandchildren both have computers in their rooms but no internet access. If they need to use that, they have to use their parent's computer under supervision (thank goodness)!

Hi, thanks for the pats re:not smoking and congratulations to all else who have quit. I had been saying I wanted to quit for a long time. Just before Xmas 07, hubby said "Well, why don't you?" so instead of buying tobacco I bought Nicorette Gum instead. Cut down gradually until the last of my tobacco was gone. Used the gum for about four or five months and haven't looked back. It didn't even bother me while staying with my niece in NZ who smokes. I guess I shall stay smoke-free.

Congratulations, Rena on your, smokelessness! It seems to be such an easy habit to pick up, and such a hard one to quit, so well done!
My third grade teacher put me off smoking, for life, with one simple demonstration - I'll always thank him for that!

We are just home from a picnic next to a dam. This one supplies our town. Every now and then they release water to the river, time it, then pump water from the river to another dam. From there it goes through a treatment works and off into the system.

My hubby was always wary of online friendships that I made here until we were lucky enough to meet many Aussies in Gold Coast, Perth and Melbourne. My kids never thought twice about it. I can understand why people who aren't involved worry. If it was purely 1:1 correspondence and hubby was into that, I'd be suspicious myself, but an open forum such as this with comments permanently recorded is very innocent fun.

CynB, glad it was my (and Vicki's) normality, or is that normalcy?, that put hubby's mind to rest! I was actually quite nervous that day. I'd never before met anyone based on an online friendship.
