I wonder if these gorgeous men know they have competition from a naughty Puppy who gets her mother up 5 minutes after her father has left for work - every morning!! It's a wicked evil plot, Jewel!

Judy - I was wondering if I could vote for him as well. It's my competition so my rules but we'd better make it one vote only each.

Suzy, the theater in our town was only open on the day of the Christmas parade. They'd show cartoons and a feature for free for the kids. They have since torn it down to put in a drive-thru bank. It's funny, I can still remember what the inside looked like.

Just rereading the last few pages - no-one voted for Mr Pitt? I saw him the other day in the "Benjamin Button" movie, and I have to say he is rather yummy! Oh, but how do you choose? They're ALL yummy - wrap them up, please, I'll take the full set!

Sorry I disappeared. I heard the news about the fires in Sydney and had to pull out my map to check on friends. One has about 10 streets between her and the fire, the other a half a map. Far enough away to have plenty of warning, close enough to be listening carefully to the news...

Mr Pitt wasn't on the list, Judy - it's my list and he's so - last year. I did consider Hugh Jackman but decided he was more lovely than gorgeous!

Actually, I couldn't get the Internet for a few hours today - think I had withdrawal symptoms. And now I must leave you - Rob thinks he's getting dinner tonight, but he won't unless I go out and forage! Catch you later!

I was on a mostly working trip arranged at the last minute Judy - I didn't even own a camera at the time! I only had a few days in Germany and they were mostly spent in factories... though I did get a yummy lunch at a vineyard and an 'interesting' lunch at a castle.

I still am voting for Rayray. I know..... he's not on the list either.
Just finished watching 7 episodes out of the 15 of The Shadow serial. Better than expected. Then I HAD to go look at fur hats on eBay. Saw some I REALLY liked, so sent IH an email telling him to get them for me to atone for Christmas. I LOVE hats.

Heading off to bed in a minute, but just looked in to see if anyone's around - it's vewy quiet here!

I am up early today. Need my coffee and Tylenol today. Just achey enough to notice and wake up this morning. Maybe I can go back to sleep once the meds kick in.

Scooter kitty was upset with me last night. I completely shut down my computer( I often leave it in sleep mode). She was asleep on the tower. It stopped purring to her and it got cold, so she decided to come sleep with me. By then I was sound asleep and little feet walking on me was an interruption of that sleep. I kept encouraging her to sleep beside me, nope, she wanted ON me, not an option. I invited her off the bed. Not sure where she found to go to sleep all night, but I found her beside the floor heat vent this morning, I guess that was her new warm place. She is back on the computer tower now that the computer is on again and she is sound asleep. What a kitty!

SUSAN, glad the flooding has not affected you, hope it is soon gone for those who were affected.

Suzy, I hope your friends near the fires are safe. Wildfires terrify me! back 2 summers ago, we were getting smoke from fires in the Everglades, in Florida, several hundred miles from us. It was strong enough to cause eye problems for me, needed medicated eye drops to help. I cannot imagine having the fires just several streets over, OH MY!

Well finally back, the workers pays are sorted and it is bedlam as usual. Day off tomorrow and looks like Teresa may come with me and Bella on our campervan adventure. Might even go over to the rental place and check it out.

Broni, our kitties keep us entertained for sure, they are always into something!

Phantom, the outdoor boy kitty who comes for meals and attention arrived yesterday morning with war wounds. He had a fight with something somewhere, and Al found broken skin in about 5 places. None big enough to need stitches, but he sure was beat up badly. I fed him on the back porch, then he went to the dome with AL where he ate and ate from the offerings there. Sat in Al's lap most of the morning, then asked to go out. I hope to see him again this morning, but he may have hunted himself a safe "cave" to retire to till he is well again. Poor baby! I do want to watch him that none of the wounds get infected. If from a cat, the wounds can easily get infected and abscess, which is a trip to the vet and lots of TLC to heal those.

Yes MizT, he will always come back to where it is safe and warm. Make sure Al remembers to check him over if he comes back to him.

SYDNEY, Australia (AP) - Position: Island caretaker. Duties: Lazing around Australia's Great Barrier Reef for six months. Salary: 150,000 Australian dollars ($100,000).

Unemployed, take heart - the aforementioned job ad is for real. Billing it the "Best Job in the World," the tourism department in Australia's Queensland state on Tuesday said it was seeking one lucky person to spend half a year relaxing on Hamilton Island, part of the country's Whitsunday Islands, while promoting the island on a blog.

The move is part of a AU$1.7 million campaign to boost tourism in the state. In exchange for the plush salary, free accommodation in an oceanfront villa and airfare from the winner's home country, the "employee" will be required to stroll the island's white sand beaches, snorkel, maybe take a dip in the pool - and post photos and videos of his or her experiences on a weekly blog.

"It'll be huge," Tourism Whitsundays chief executive Peter O'Reilly said, adding he expected thousands will apply.

Applications are open until Feb. 22 and 11 finalists will be flown to Hamilton Island in May for the final selection process. The job begins on July 1.
