Yeah, I did it!

Brakes got fixed. They even gave us 2 free oil changes, 'cause they forgot to give us the discount.

Caulking got finished yesterday. Was not a happy camper by the end. This brand was a lot harder to deal with.

What brand was it, so I know to avoid it in the future.

I believe that makes 4 topps for me! Looks like June is the champion page turner on the list!

The first was DAP Kwik Seal. The one I used yesterday is by GE and is a squeeze tube. The problem is that to get it off your skin you need to use fingernail polish remover or something like it.

Congrats on the topp. I've been hit-and-miss here lately and haven't been paying attention.

Bean.... I make the appointment for the next epidural before I leave the hospital after having one. The next one is scheduled for January 8th, at 8:20 am. They book up quickly, so a 3 month lead time is needed.

The guy is here with the new tractor tires, so gotta go.

Woke up this morning to a light dusting of snow on the ground! (thank goodness we're not camping!!!) Will take a piccie when we go out to load up the car.

TRAVEL LOG:
The most interesting part of our travels yesterday occurred when we stopped for a late lunch in Alturas (most northeastern "city" in CA)
We had planned to eat at the Black Bear Diner (where we had lunched before)...but found it closed (out of business). So we picked a small local burger stand (Harold's Tasty Freeze) over the Quizno's franchise across the street.
It turned out to be a wonderful experience. It was very clean - the food was fresh and good (for what it was, burgers) and the service was not only friendly, but fun.
The most interesting part of the meal was the completely eclectic collection of portraits the owner had around the walls of the small dining room area. Everything from George Bush to Bob Dylan. An old autographed photo of Gandhi was bordered by Brad Pitt and Barbara Streisand! Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin framed Charlie's Angels! It was a amazing and odd and completely fascinating!

good morning. i am freezing today. i am always cold and with winter approaching i don't imagine i will be warm until june.
suzy, you have me on the 1 line and the three line. maybe you should combine the two and put me on the 4th .
glad your having a good time with the hubby vici. hope you had a great time with yours suz. i am not having a great time with mine as he is not here . they want him to start some other part of the project that could keep him there until may. i told him NO WAY!!!! sorry, we will just have to be broke. i would rather my kids have a daddy than money in the bank. i am hoping real hard that he can wind his current project up within the month.

Stella, Columbus Day brought back Memories of SF as we were there to see the march one year. It was wonderful to see an American Parade. (It was a surprise extra as we had no idea about the parade until we heard the band)

Mariana, not easy with your brood and no Hubby to help. Also quite a hunk for you to miss having around.

Does anybody know when Vivacious Viv is coming back on site? It has gotten kinda quiet here. Almost too quiet so I'm gonna crash. Ta ta.

SA6'ers....Beautiful day here and have enjoyed the fact that my baseball team(Phillies) has beaten the L.A. Dodgers in the first game for National League Championship...and the second game will start soon. Keeping my fingers crossed for another win!!!!...This city needs a championship...we have good teams but are all too often left hanging when its time for the big games...Go Phillies!!! Thanks for the support Vici...

Forgot to welcome Nicky and Tami yesterday...Always good to row and extend the family fun. Enjoy coming here and getting to know all of us better...its a nice place to be.
