Hi, Heidi! I'm only using the ones that turned out better. I have one with the tail completely open, but it didn't shrink well.

But it appears it will be on this page, not the last!

Just got in the mail, a sympathy card and a copy of The Rainbow Bridge from the vets. Brought a tear to my eye.

I'm going to delete mine. I don't like how they shrunk.

That's really thoughtful of the vet, Gail! I'm sure he/she truly understands how difficult it is!

Gail - what nice caring vets.

Is anybody going to help with the story on easy - it's gone from outback oz to Christmas and now sci-fi?

That was a kind thing for them to do. It shows that they do care.

I didn't know that they had a story going. I'm now too tired to get enthusiastic.

The turkey in the second avatar is holding a sign that says, "Eat ham." So he's thinking like your smilie turkey.

CynB, I also didn't know about the story, but I'm about to crash, so won't be of much help.

We'll be celebrating Thanksgiving (or "turkey day") in the US on Nov. 27 this year. So the baked turkey avatar is just kind of a joke.

I think I'd better stop contributing to that story or those PMBHville people will be more convinced that they did the right thing!

That turkey does look good, doesn't it? This year we'll be eating with MIL at her assisted living facility for Thanksgiving. I'm guite sure the turkey there won't look like the avatar!

You know me, Julie - poultry of any kind does nothing for me. Don't know why - just have never liked the flavour of it.
I'm sure that roast turkey looks most appetising to everyone else. Lucky I wasn't born in the US - what would I eat at Thanksgiving?

You'd make the turkeys happy and eat beef or ham or even lamb, CynB.

The last few years, it seems that "brining" the turkey has become popular. It is supposed to keep the turkey moister and more flavorful. I haven't had one fixed that way yet.
