Eaa – missed you again…

June, your hubby was out late last night.

Heidi, rofl!! Your technique to calm hubby sounds like something the parent of a spoiled brat might use..

Mariana, it is so cute that elsa is clinging to daddy! I’m sure your hugs will come back once she realises he really is home to stay…

Vici, we installed energy saving light globes and try to be environmentally responsible with our energy use. And we are using less electricity, but our electricity bills are getting bigger instead of smaller…..

Baseball meeting Suzy! It is 75 years since the Claxton Sheild started and they are picking "team of 75 years". Very hard when no one saw the early players play!

June, I have to say it again though it has been said many times over the last few months - if anyone deserves a social day, you do!!!

Broni, I've been doing that too, but caught up now!

June, that sounds like fun. Are they planning an evening thing, or a demo game? Period dress?

Some kids at Ebob's school played baseball during an elective called Human Movement. Several of them loved it and might join if there was a local team!

Morning Broni! do you have to take your little girl outside to do her duty????
Glad you stuck around, eaa.
Suzy - we have never had very big energy bills as we are into conserving, too - but I so know what you mean! Our rates keep going up and up!

Vici I have friends with 3 and 4 refrigerators, electric stoves, dishwashers etc. I would hate to think what their electricity bills look like! It doesn't help that we get ours quarterly, not monthly....

The Claxton Sheild games start in a few weeks but htere is no publicity. This year there will be some games played in each state. We are not really involved any more.
(I do have some period dresses)

June, I read about a bowling club recently that had as a condition of membership female members had to cook and serve the men during their games... Voluntary basis for special occasions, yes, stop doing it and we'll double your membership fees?????

The workmen are gone for the day. They'll be back around 8 am. The jack hammers weren't quite as noisy as I expected. We can live with it for a couple more days.
I will probably be losing my computer connection for a while tomorrow and the next day. So you may not hear from me then.

Is nobody else around? Don't tell me that I have to type a bunch of boring posts just to get a TOPP? I did say I wouldn't do that again, didn't I? OK. I won't. I'll just take a nap instead.

Ken was not at the launch Suzy, this was just a small group of people that had been around for a while and discussing previous players.

We do not cater for the men. We do have a couple of barmen when there are a lot of people about and two women and quite a few men who have RSA certificate to work behind the bar when there are only a few people about. We take our own lunch today and ,yes, the women do make salads etc for special occasions and our monthly BBQ night. (The men do the cooking!)
It is a small club and very friendly.

Morning Heidi!

That sounds much more civilised June (and the way you'd expect most clubs to run)! I think the club I mentioned made the news because it was so discriminatory and the women decided to say enough is enough.

I have updated the TOPPs list but don't want to post it so close to the bottom of a page! I just know that by the time I get it all typed up the page will turn and it will be outdated before it is even posted!!

And apparently the women used to make sandwiches for the men's afternoon tea but stopped a few years ago. Long before I became involved.

Ladies, advice needed.
As you all know Ethan works at a fish and chip shop part time as he is still in Year 9 at high school. He informs me his boss is taking $11.80 out of his pay as he made a mistake. To cut a long story short he forgot to turn over a piece of fish and prawns on skewer that were on a grill and they burnt.
She says this will teach him a lesson and he will not make the mistake again.
Now, others have made mistakes and they have not been reported to the boss.
The senior that was on Ethan's shift reported this to the boss. The boss says she is to be told if anything like this happens but the other seniors do not think it's fair and so the others are not reported.
I did not think she could do this.
I was just wondering what your thoughts were on this matter.
Also is there somewhere I could ring to verify if this is accepted practice or not?
Thanks girls.
