Vici, if you don't want to use chemicals, try planting castor oil beans. They "taint" the soil for the those ground critters.

Brenda, glad to hear that your friend is getting the help she needs.

Mamacita, glad to hear the news about Angelique. Now it's your turn to rest and get better.

Suzy, sorry about the wombat. When animals able to get up and leave, I always have a hope that they'll be ok.

HI BECKY! Glad the wedding was so nice, and was the bride happy about the bagpipes? for the life of me, I would have bopped anyone on the head for even thinking about having bagpipes play for me, worse sound in the world! Worse than fingernails on a chalk board. I know, Scotts went into battle playing bagpipes just because of it's anoying sound, make a grown man drop his rifel and put his hands over his ears.

My apppologies to any who happen to love bagpipes, as is your right, but do warn me fore they start to play, please! I will make myself scarce till they finish, like hiding in a sound proof room with ear plugs in my ears!

VIVI I have another Ann Patterson book, her first novel, Liar's Club. Very good for a first, not as good as the one I read.

I only have till Friday on restrictions, my extra 2 weeks will be up then. I might have to go back to doing STUFF next week!

I can tell bending does not cause a twinge, I can stand on my feet doing things longer with no twinge, do not tire as easily, I think I am on the mend. I am still doing and sitting, doing and sitting, reading my books. Just doing a bit more fore I call it finished for the day today.

I love bagpipes!! They had some at the netball parade and it was wonderful... Almost any local parade will include them MizT.

MizT, I found the worst thing after the forced rest was getting fit again afterwards - hence the belly busters!

I'm on the sixth book in the Tomorrow series. Books for teenagers are so great to read - quick!

When I win the lottery and visit Oz, I will pack some really good ear plugs then Suzy hehehe. Would not want to miss the local parades, but could do without the screeching of bagpipes.

Now mind you, I must win a very big lottery, cause I need to charter a plane that has a recliner and a bedroom! Take a sleeping pill and sleep at least 12 hours of the flight, and I might make it!

The flight works really well from LA to Sydney MizT. It leaves around 10pm. We sleep most of the way with only 2 or 3 hours at the end, arriving around 6.30 am. At least we did, have't done the trip in 8 years!

Suzy, it takes almost a day to get to LA from here on commercial plane, no way to get there from here without a layover and plane change. so that would be a long day just to get to the starting point. If I can charter a small private jet with a bedroom, it might can land and take off from out little airport just 15 min up the road, now that would be nice.

See, I have it all planned, all I need to do is win the $$$$$$$$$$$$ hehehe

Geez, a day to get to LA??? Madness! Yep, a lottery win with a stop in LA to visit sudoku people, a few days should do it. Then to Sydney, there are lots of sudoku people there too. If you took the train to Melbourne, I'm told first class is quite luxurious, I would only have to drive about an hour to meet you at one of the stops...

Fit is a relative word MizT! I mean fit enough to do the day to day stuff without becoming exhausted. Pear is a shape too isn't it? You always hear them together anyway - 'pear shape'.

Heidi, careful what you write in here, it can be used as evidence! Although you do have very understandable grounds!!!
Mama, continued best wishes to you and all yours.

Just fed the machine with sheets etc. In the 15 minutes directly after the water started flowing into the machine the sky went dark and rain is threatening.... Sob!

Gail, my friend is a breast cancer survivor and when she sold to the public she donated some of the proceeds from the mardi gras princesses for research. They could also be ordered with one or no breasts for women who had had mastectomies.(Sp?) I don't know if she still does that. Her cancer is the reason she is finally doing what she always dreamt of doing!

I have just realised that my friend would have been my age when she was diagnosed! She had decided that the recommendation to have the squishy test at 50 was silly since many women in their 40s also got breast cancer. The test was expensive and not covered by insurance, but she had it anyway. Now it is 10.5 years later....

I'm up for a few to feed dogs.
I figure that I can talk about ways of disposing of IH's body here, because it's only blowing off steam. He's not worth going to jail over.

I love the skirl of bagpipes as well. I think it must be in the blood. Tartan blood, that is.

Everybody. I'm heading back to bed.

Oh, MizT. Only goldfish in my pond. They range from babies born this year to 5 year olds. There aren't any really old fish in there because I only built it last summer.

MizT, the bagpiper did not play loudly. There were no high pitches, very middle and low range. The music was actually pleasant.

O K, I am in the minority, I am the only one who does not like bagpipes. You can all listen to my part, and maybe soak up all the noise with your ears for me hehehe

ROLANDA, hope you have a good day at the show, I never saw a report on your first day there. Did you make sandwiches or what? Good for Peter going with you and helping.

Heidi, have you seen the huge machine that can dig, transport and plant a full grown tree? They have showed it on mega Movers or some such show on satellite TV. even better than a 25 foot tree for hiding things under. The tree movers do come and dig the hole where the transplant will go before going off to dig up the transplant, so plenty of time to hide whatever in the bottom of that hole while they are gone.

I think it is time for bed. I did manage to do a few more things today than yesterday, but ran out of steam about 2:30, and mostly vegged out this afternoon. I would really like to stay up to finish my book, but yawning so, and the eyes saying they need a rest, so I will have something to do first thing tomorrow.

Hugs to all and see you flip side.

Ruby, yes it was a surprise. Thought it was a nice gesture to remember her grandfather that way.

MizT, we were at the end of the front row and the piper ended right in front of me. I'd like to know what he was playing. It was sort of a haunting melody.
