once again i miss topps! i was reading instead. what i should be doing is sleeping. i have a hard time turning my head off. so it is past 3am and i have to be up by 6:30 to get kids going for school. i am going to be a mess tomorrow. maybe elsa will need a nap?

I'm off early to help walk my friend's dogs. We take a hour and a half hike through a local state park. I've missed it for 3 weeks because of all that's going on at home. After that I'll be outside planting the 500 bulbs that arrived yesterday via UPS. What was I thinking????
Hopefully I'll have a lovely scene to show you next spring!

Maen Sudoluland, I am late now, late, late. Was up later than usual, spending some tome with hubby last night. so I slept in today. Heck, did not have to be anywhere, do anything today. why not?

OH HEIDI, some terrible things at the zoo, complete idiots. How tragic you had to deal with such happenings. I agree itis the thing to do, having the DNA of endangered animals scattered about the globe in zoos.

I knew a gardener who helped preserve and grow heirloom tomato seeds, parent tomatoes from which our hybrid, commercial tomatoes originated. she was a part of a world wide seed bank, saving the seeds and DNA just in case it is ever needed, to produce a new strain of hybrid, if something happens to our tomatoes today. Kind of the same principal.

VICI, happy to hear hubby is just bored. sometimes boring is very good, remind him of that for me -please.

Lots of daffodils (many varieties, including pink) and crocuses to "naturalize" an area I've dug out...I also have tulips (but they have to go in wire baskets in the ground so the critters I've been fighting don't eat them all).
I haven't opened the box they came in yet, so I can't even remember everything I ordered as it was 3 months ago - I think some bluebells for a shadier area.

All those bulbs should look fabulous in spring. Vici

love the naturalized look vici. it is amazing how fast your 500 bulbs will turn into 1000. then you can separate some and send them to me!

i am not quite as wiped out as i thought i would be. i managed to get all the kids off to school and even got them to eat before they left. elsa is coloring, laundry is started and now i should clean, but i don't feel like it. if i keep looking at the moniter i won't see breakfast still on the table.

Mariana, I went to bed early and so did Hubby but he put the radio on and it kept waking me up., Then I started coughing with an annoying tickle and got up for a drink...........and guess where I ended up??????

Glad your short sleep did not leave you too draggy yet. Don't you love crayons for a 2 year old? Magical entertainment!

After 2 budding young artists who drew with such determination, we had a chest of broken crayons. Once they were older, I found a lot of crafts using bits and pieces of broken crayon.
