I was talking to the plumber today (who has no use for Gil at all). He told me that he ran into Gil a few days ago and asked him how his girlfriend was. Gil got mad, and red in the face, and insisted that he has no girlfriend! She's just an acquaintance, he said!!! He must be getting chewed out by his friends for committing adultery, and is trying to cover up now. He honestly thought that being a leader in his church made everything OK. And has now discovered that it ain't so. He's not fooling anyone by denying everything. The story of his long term adultery has now reachd the entire community. I'm having complete strangers approach me and offer me sympathy over what I've been thru' with him. And they all say they're on my side.

A great, but tiring Xmas! Gizmo woke us up. Alie loved her presents, hubby and I loved ours. It helps that we picked them ourselves, though we both also bought a small surprise gift for each other. Around 11 Bob, then Dana and the kids arrived. The kids loved their gifts, and having just loved their santa gifts at home, declared this the best Christmas ever! We then ate a yummy turkey dinner! Prepared by hubby, because on a good day I might be able to boil an egg. After a few, very loud, hours, we headed off to my brothers house. They gave the kids swimmers. So they went for a swim. There is a walking ledge around the edge. Tahli accidentally stepped off it and went under, then under again. Scary stuff. Dana swooped in and pulled her up. Tahli declared loudly. I'm okay, I'm okay, I'm FINE. she was only fine because her mum was eagle eyed, but we didn't correct her. We wanted to leave at 8 so the kids could be home by bed time. Didn't happen. But we had fun.

The good news/only bad news is that I haven't been eating well since my man flu so I didn't manage to pig out in the usual holiday tradition. I even opened a pack of one of my favourite candies and only ate one! It's sitting beside me now and I'm not tempted. Sigh.

My bro and sister in law asked how we coped with bob. He showed up a day early. He is the only person we know who walks in without knocking. He cannot hold a conversation, and he is the person starring in my most humiliating memory. Basically we ignore him other than offering him coffee and food. It's really sad to think that that is the best option for him at Xmas. He was fostered by my grandparents when he was 14 and has stayed my 'uncle' since then. I call him bob but the kids call him uncle bob. He and his brother found their mother at one point, she asked them for money and wasn't interested in anything else. His brother is a sleaze ball I wouldn't have in my house. (Fostered at the same time). Bob speaks slowly and weirdly, he sounds slow, I'm not sure he is though. He's no genius, but not disabled in the way he sounds. I'm wondering if I should tell you my humiliating story. I think it might give you a giggle so I'll go for it.

When I was around 19 and at university, my uni friends came down to my home town for a trip. Beach/holiday destination here. But I lived in government housing and they were all from the north shore in Sydney. A few of them had families worth in the millions in property and art work etc.... not all though. Bob was visiting at the same time. We came home from a night out and he was drunk as a f@rt and nekkid. We walked in and he grabbed me professing his love. My friends, who until that point had thought the worst thing a drunk person could do was p33 on the sidewalk rescued me. I avoided him for years after that. Not hard since I lived away from home by then. Though he lived in Sydney too, he never knew where I lived. So, now you know my most humiliating story.

Hubby is laughing at me. It hurts like buggery when I cough. It has made me very sweary. All day I have been careful and have limited myself to frick., because the kids were here. Tonight it has escalated to shxx. Since this is an improvement on yesterday he says I must br hurting less. And he thinks this is hilarious!

Hi all. Can't believe how long it has been since I have been here and how much has been going on.

June, I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. I know you are stong, and a fighter, and if anyone can beat it, you can.

Heidi, I don't even know what to say. If you want to talk, send me an email. I have 2 phone numbers for you but am not sure if they are correct. One is for house, the other a cell.

I also miss Mamacita and her wise words. She always knew what to say.

Heidi, remember those two cute little boys you played games with in Daytona??? They are now 20 and 16 years old. Mitchell is a sophmore in college. Dylan is a sophmore in high school, is a pitcher for the JV baseball team and is about 6'1' tall.

WONDERFUL to see you here, Tami!!! I have been thinking of you recently and wondering how you and your family were.

I had a great day. Spent it with my friend Donna and her extended family (~30 people). We feasted, laughed, and had a wonderful day together. These were the same people I spent Thanksgiving with. It's nice feeling surrounded by a loving, caring family.

Hi, Everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful and festive Christmas or Hanukkah with your family! Ours was quiet and stay-at-home. (That's an improvement over another almost 8 full days in the hospital after the ileostomy reversal surgery on Dec. 15.)

Tami, it's good to see your posts! Happy Birthday to Mitchell this month, I think, and to Dylan next month, if I remember correctly. I hope the school year is going well for you! Enjoy your time away from school and with family!

June, I hope you are doing well and are able to get appointments made in a timely manner! Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers that all goes well!

MizT, wishing relief from your headaches at the very soonest! I hope your appointments can also get scheduled as soon as possible! Sending positive thoughts and healing energy that your headaches can be treated and improved soon! I hope the pick-up of Walmart online shopping works out for you! It could potentially be a big help!

Heidi, hopefully the plumber can get all the work done quickly and IH is not a jerk about your cattle being on 'his' property. It might be worth notifying your attorney about the situation, in case IH decides to do something illegal (like selling some for his profit) with your cattle. I hope you'll soon have proper water service to the house and to the fields!

Suzy, it sounds like your grandies are dealing with the excitement and frustration of the holidays! Your patience is impressive! I'm glad to see that your family, especially the grandies, all seemed to have a good Christmas!

I'm fading fast, so will head to bed. I apologize for not sending a personal message for all & will try to do better in the coming days.

Sending lots of {{{{{HUGS}}}}}, healing energy, , positive thoughts, and prayers for everyone!

Strange weather today. After that cold snap of 4 days when it never got above freezing, it's warmed up. During the day, and when I drove home through pea-soup fog (over an hour drive each way), it was only 45˚F / 7.2˚C, but at 1 am, it is now 58˚F / 14.4˚C.
Last night, Bear (one of Sandy's 3 year old puppies, and Angel's grandson) had a seizure. Not a big one but enough to scare me. I discussed it with my friend Donna today (she's a retired Vet) and she believes since the seizure wasn't a bad one, I need to keep a close eye on him and see if he has any more. We need to determine if there's a pattern before starting him on medication. I know if it was up to Bear, he'd want me to start him on medication NOW. He gets so jealous when Timmy gets HIS epilepsy pills every evening.

Did I forget to tell everyone that the plumber restored water yesterday, and the cows are now back here with 4 fresh rolls of hay?? I don't think IH would have the gall to sell any of my cattle. He KNOWS that I'd have him arrested at the drop of a hat. There's too much recent documentation that the cattle are mine.

Julie, you have a good memory. Mitchell is the same day as Suzy and Dylan was last month.

Heidi, the more things change, the more they stay the same.

I keep up with most people on TOS but I know a few have not made the switch. That is part of the reason I don't come here much. Also, I usually am on my tablet and it is not as easy to type. I was on Dylan's laptop and the bookmark came up.

Nice to see you here Tami. Pleased the water is fixed Heidi. Sounds like you had a lovely Christmas day.
Boxing day, yesterday was a lovely lazy day. Neil 'gurnied'(pressure washed) the tiles in my BBQ area and helped Ken put a screen door on the laundry. It was originally from the front door so there was a bit of woodwork needed to make it fit.

Suzy, get well soon and get your appetite back. I felt like that when I had that cough when we returned from Japan.

Hi, Everyone!

Tami, I'm glad the bookmark for SA came up on Dylan's laptop! It was a nice reminder to come here for a visit. Maybe he should let you borrow it every few weeks so you can drop by and say Hello! We know school and chauffeuring Dylan to games must keep you busy! Do you still work part-time at Target also? I know you are very busy!

Heidi, I'm so glad to hear you had an enjoyable Christmas with your friend Donna and her extended family! I didn't realize Donna was a retired vet. It's helpful to have her expertise in dealing with Bear's seizure. Hoping for the best for him and for you. Is it common for collies to have epilepsy? I think we are all relieved that the water situation has been fixed and your cattle are all safely returned to your field! Good luck accomplishing all of your errands tomorrow!

June, how nice that your son and his family are able to stay for a while & help Ken with some household fixes. As for boys fighting, I know that my brothers did, but we have only girls, and so far, they have only girls, so our experience is limited. Tami seems to indicate that some fighting isn't uncommon with her boys.

Suzy, I hope you are feeling better and are able to eat a bit more!

MizT, I'm hoping your headaches have improved!

Hello to Broni, DOrA, Midge, and other I have forgotten to mention!

Greetings friends. We had a quite and enjoyable Christmas here. the girls came over for brunch, omelets (Tanya makes good omelets) hot biscuits with fig preserves and mimosas. the gift exchange looked as if Santa dumped his entire sleigh in my tiny living room! We had 2 bags of just wrapping paper to go out, and I refolded all the white boxes I had decorated, for use again next year.

Tanya had bought me an over the toilet space saver shelf unit, very pretty, but it would not fit. this apartment came with a handicapped toilet, taller at the tank, and the shelf unit was too short. Bummer. It also needed to attach to wall, and we have metal studs, makes it most difficult to attach anything. We shall have to look further for a new unit. My old one is wire shelves, and nothing wants to stand upright on them. also, very old and beginning to rust. We will find something surely, soon.

I had a wonderful phone call from JUne, enjoyed chatting with her again, then of a sudden, we lost the call. thank you for the phone visit, June, it was wonderful to hear your voice again.

I got a LOT of adult coloring items from family and friends. A friend here found color them yourself post cards, so cute! Tanya found color yourself note cards. I got new Prima pencils, and 3 books, I should have enough to keep me busy for a while!

both the girls loved their gifts. Each got a sweater they were not expecting, was a bit pricey, but hey, it is Christmas. I told them I could do nicer gifts this year, maybe never again, not to expect it hehehe.

Did I tell you about the dirty Santa party here at EP? It was a blast. Once again, there were a couple of gifts that at least 3 people wanted. I wanted one of them, a silver sand dollar necklace and earrings. So did two others. Every time I got it, one of them would take them from me. I would immediately take the angle that about 4 or 5 wanted, knowing I would not keep it long, and could go back for the necklace. Well, I did not get it, bummer. the lady who did, does not have pierced ears, so could not use the earrings. she gave one to me, and one to Helen, the other who really wanted this. Mine is already converted to a necklace, and I have the jump rings to convert Helen's also! I thought that was so sweet of Martha to share!

headache is rearing it's ugly head, so I am off to apply heat. I go tomorrow for a MRI of neck, and then hope they can schedule the cervical epidural before next year, but i doubt it. Just hope this is the cure the doc says it will be. At least the headaches are not as severe, and I can be up longer before they get me down again. Christmas Day, I went to bed about 3:45. the girls were still here, and I fell sleep to dishes being washed, and the living room being cleared. Best gift of all, woke from a nap minus the headache and all mess and clutter GONE!

It is hot and muggy, humidity high. I may have to turn on AC unit again just to dry the air, bummer. Hugs to each of you, with extr

Julie, no I am not at Target anymore. Haven't been in over a year. I am looking for something part time. I have increased my expenses in the last year but not my income. I have had to replace two cars the last two years. One in the summer of 2015 and one this year. Two car payments and a major increase in insurance premiums.

Greetings to All!

MizT, your 'dirty Santa' party sounds like fun! How nice that the silver sand dollar necklace and earrings could be shared by all 3 of you who were hoping to 'win' it. How nice that your girls were able to let to nap Christmas afternoon and get everything clean and tidy at the same time! I think they were raised well! All the gifts sound wonderful!

Tami, I can't imagine what it must be like to try to budget for 2 car payments! And that in addition to having a sophomore in college! I'm so glad we are past that challenge! (We had 2 in college at the same time for 2 years. Somehow, the bills were paid in a somewhat timely manner. Just one car payment a month is difficult enough! I wish you luck in finding a good part-time job!

I'm falling asleep at the computer, so sending good wishes, positive thoughts, , prayers, {{{{{HUGS}}}}}, and healing energy for everyone!

Forecast 38, but we only reached 34. (100/93) The feels like temp was significantly lower. It's only now they are matching, both sitting around 30. Another hot one forecast for tomorrow, fingers crossed they're wrong.

Hi Tami!

Heidi, Hooray for a nice quiet day at home by yourself! I hope you enjoyed it!

Suzy, that's still too hot! I hope they're wrong about tomorrow! Yes, I agree that girls fight, too! Besides having 3 brothers, I had 2 sisters. Sometimes girls fight differently than boys, but there is still fighting!

I was just lectured, like a child, because I stood out in the storm without telling hubby. How could he have used his training to revive me if I'd been hit by lightning when he didn't know I'd gone out in the storm!

Suzy, we missed the storm. it is quite hot and humid here. I was having a nice sleep with the AC on until ken turned it off!
Saw the GP today. He feels very positive about my outcome. So did the radiologist I saw on Wednesday. My GP cannot get over how well I am. Normally it is 5 to 11 months and here am I at 6 months looking and feeling better than I have in some years.
I am all tattooed ready to start my next treatments in a couple of weeks.
My son and family are back. Not sure what we are doing tomorrow (NY eve). They will probably go watch some fireworks but Ken and I will stay home.

Julie, that really sucks. How do you complain about someone needing emergency surgery? Which reminds me of the story I told my baby brother the other day. I told him that I had yelled at mum one time: how come he can do that when we weren't allowed to? Her answer: do you want me to make the same mistakes with him as I did with you? Hell, yeah, is what you want to say, but you can't.
