Amen, Mamacita. You express so brilliantly the emotions we all feel, and some of us can't find the words for. You have reached into our hearts and touched our true love for each other. Thank you.

Very bad storms are being predicted for many states here over a wide area...hope all who get warnings are able to heed them quickly and stay safe. Heidi, MizT and Julie's areas were among those mentioned often...Prayers go up for all.
Heidi, happy that I could convey the expressed feeling for us and you agree that you feel the same way. Postings show it and I just repeat what is demonstrated here. Stay safe all.

Mama, at the moment we are in no danger. Cloudy, dark, damp day, with scattered showers, warm, near 70 degrees. The storms are north of us, I think. The weather site is very slow to respond, but no severe weather warnings for Alabama here at noon.
IF we have severe weather, it will be tonight, but these showers today are taking a lot of the energy out of the area, so we might escape with just showers and a few small t storms. I will keep my phone near, as I get weather warnings sent to my cell phone. Not much I would have to do anyway. If a tornado were headed straight for us, I would move to either my bathroom or the main hall outside my door, putting as many walls between me and the outside as possible. I have flashlights and battery lantern in case of power outage, and lots of warm polar fleece jackets, robes, throws and blankets to climb under if we have no heat.
I cannot check on Heidi's weather, the weather site I usually use is now not responding. Local TV weather does not cover Kentucky, unfortunately. Hope all is well up there Heidi.
Hugs to each of you, with extras, till later.

Just found that a long track tornado is associated with a storm now 90 miles south west of Chicago Illinois, heading north east at 50 miles an hour. I am not sure how close that might be to Julie. There have been reports of sighting a debris ball with this storm, which indicates a tornado is on the ground. Stay Safe Julie and check in when you can, we care.

The storm is to the north of us as well. Just rain here. Most of the projected trouble will be in Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and eastward.

Oh dear - that devastation looks dreadful (thanks for the link MizT). I do hope that Julie is OK. We've had a week of constant storms/supercells here in SE Qld. A lot of hail damage, some waterspouts and threatened tornados. So far nothing to match that.
Broni - I got those Vans for half price at our local surf shop, otherwise she wouldn't have got them believe me!

Oh dear Suzy - projectile vomiting!! I have seen it in a friend's child many years ago - a plastic sheet was among the items in their baby bag. He grew out of it, but at the time it happened every single meal!

Morning all,
Stay safe people near the storms....
Cyn, I saw a photo on fb and thought of you, but was on my phone and couldn't share it to your wall. A grandmother asked for Converse shoes - she crocheted a pair! They looked great, but the grandie was probably still disappointed.
I'm off to bed, think I may be getting it...

We're OK. The storm slipped by just 5 miles south of us. Even though we're under tornado watch for 3 1/2 hours, the threat is past.

Broni, a beautiful tribute made with love. HUGS.
Hope Julie is OK. I only remember that she mentioned living in a suburb of Chicago I believe. A lot of people are without power.
Take care everyone, no matter what life is throwing your way.
Mama, will keep you in my thoughts in anticipation of Thursday. HUGS.

I am hoping to hear from Julie also. I keep checking back in to see if she has posted. I do not remember the name of her town/community either. I do hope if anything, Julie only is without power and cannot get here. I am sure she knows we are worried about her and thinking about her, and have been all day.
There is still a possibility the tail end of this storm could continue south as it moves east, and drop down into Alabama. It is a narrow band of storms now in Tennessee, and only a few counties in north west Tennessee are under tornado watch. YEAH, right now, there are NO TORNADO WARNINGS with this storm. Lots of severe thunderstorm warnings up north, lots of tornado watches, but to be with no tornado warnings for entire storm line is great. Perhaps that means the worse of this is over. I wait to see what tomorrow brings, as with the return of daylight, I fear more injured and trapped people will be found. I do hope the death tole does not go up. This will be another day that is remembered in weather history.

Greetings to such wonderful and caring friends! I am truly blessed to have such outstanding friends here!
I'm so sorry - should have tried to find time to post earlier today. We are fine. Heard the tornado warnings fairly early this morning and kept checking radar, radio, etc. for updates. Went from a cloudy day to suddenly very dark with strong winds and heavy rain. We had some hail, but less than an inch diameter. Winds and rain decreased in intensity and the sky got lighter, only to return to the dark skies, strong wind and heavy rain. There were also flash flood warnings, and neighbors down the street about 4 houses away had water going up their driveway from the water covering the road. Luckily, the intense rain slowed and the water receded. I think the closest tornado was about 40 miles away. Weather was probably more severe in my home town - about 120 miles west of us, but also no tornadoes. One brother lives in Peoria (near the heavily hit areas), but apparently all is OK with him, as well. I am so sorry for causing concern!
I'm sorry I have no time to read or comment, as we have an early start tomorrow. I hope everyone is well or getting better! Sending huge {{{{{HUGS}}}}}, positive thoughts, healing vibes, prayers and
to everyone!

Well with the storms here, have been having power outages for the last two days. Fortunately have only been for a couple of hours at a time but have been using my candles and my LED torches and had my portable gas cookers at the ready. So major dramas. Even learning how to use my phone when the home internet is not working. Isn't technology wonderful .... sometimes.

De-lighted to hear that you, and your friends and family, are OK, Julie. That was a scary line of storms that rushed through. They played havoc with my newly planted shrubs, knocking most of them over.

Right now, the only working transportation we have here is the RV, the tractor and the 4 wheeler. My truck is to be towed to the shop today, and IH got his truck stuck in some mud at Don's yesterday. It's still there. Instead of calling me to come and get him (8 miles away), the idiot walked part way and hitchhiked the rest. In a little while he's gonna take my tractor down there and pull his truck out. He has to. I need to use it to go to Louisville and pick up my 16 ft. trailer with our freshly repaired livestock scales and chute on it. The people who repaired it (in Indiana) are meeting me there later today.

Heidi, your find on sheets sounds nice. I got one set on Nomorerack.com, should have got at least 2, but was not sure of the quality. by time mine arrived and I wanted to reorder, they were sold out, of course. Glad you got Gils truck home and were able to pick up your scale and trailer.
Julie, so glad that you and your family are all safe. Not knowing your exact location, we did not know how close you were to the storms.
Heidi, so sorry the storms knocked over your shrubs. It will be a big job digging them back under again.
Not sure who the B from hell is, Broni, but glad you get a 2 week break from her. Enjoy the calmer time you have coming. Glad you have everything covered if power goes out. It is manageable when you plan ahead.
today I went to the pool, watered the plants that are under cover, deadheaded the pansies, then came upstairs and made lunch. then the lights went out. NO, not a power outage, I fell asleep in my chair with my thankfully empty 0late in my lap. I woke up long enough to get to bed, and slept for over 3 hours! My exercise in the pool really tired me out.
Last night I found the magic combination of meds for my pain. I evidently needed muscle relaxers more often than I was taking them. I went to every 4 hours. After first pill, pain relief for an hour before it returned. After second, two hours. After third, I went to sleep and slept for 6 hours, marginally amazing. I started them back this afternoon, cannot take them when I have to be up and out, cause they make me too sleepy. but pain relief is soooo wonderful! I had forgotten what it was like, not hurting.
I had to pay for my last script of muscle rleaxers, insurance would not pay. Pharmacist said they have stopped paying for almost ALL muscle relaxers for people over 65, as they are 'too sedating'. Yes they are sedating, but they can be managed. Insurance companies practicing medicine once again, AGHhhhh. I think it was medicare who did this one.
OK, I am off to bed early tonight. Just cannot get enough sleep it seems. Hurting so much for so long seems to have left me very tired and sleepy. Guess sleep is what the body needs now. More later, for now, hugs to each of you, with extras.

Glad you are o.k. Julie. Broni - a lovely tribute. Her children should be proud of what you are doing and be very grateful that you have ben able to step up and honour Maz.
Mamacita - all the best for Thursday - will be thinking of you. Sorry about your plantings Heidi - maybe you can get IH to help this time. The sheets are a bargain - over here 1000 threads go for about $130 a set of two. Hubby and 1 son in China - the communication is dreadful and very difficult. Have to get my teeth fixed now so I am one step up the ladder to going on the trnaplant list (after the usual dreaded colonoscopy and CT scan for my aneurism). New denture will cost obout $1600 just for the upper - thank goodness my bottom teeth are doing o.k. at the moment. Knocked my front teeth out in a bike accident when I was 14 and spent 3 years trying to save them so have 6 falsies in the front. Was petrified going to the dentist (biggest sook out) but feeling a bit easier now - times have changed in the past 40 years!! Our dog Truman (brown labrador) is going in for an op on Thursday - has a bowel growth to be removed. We think he is about 8 years old so hopefully this will fix him up for a good while.

MizT - glad you are able to get some relief from the pain - it is so debilitating and with your busy days, must be very restricting. You amaze me with all you do in a day! Sounds like the insurance cos. have just mae that excuse to save themselves some money - don't they realise one day it may be them who is looking for relief? A friend of mine has MS and has lost a lot of mobility. She just found out it may not have happened if she had access to some new drugs but her Dr didn't tell her about them because of the restrictive price. Needless to day, she started on them a week ago - 2 more weeks to see if they can help. Her partner died a year ago and left her his assets and I can't think of a better way for her to enjoy them! She is taking his ashes back to Ireland soon and she may not have had to use her wheelchair if she had been on these earlier.

Quick drop in as I still don't feel well. I have managed to pick up 2 days work this week though. Tomorrow and Thursday. Fingers crossed that I'm better tomorrow.
Midge, I hope you get a good conversation with son and hubby soon. I'd hate that. Good luck with your teeth. Hubby has had 2 out in the last month or so. One more and they say dentures for him. Sending thoughts out to Truman for a quick recovery and many pain free years afterward.
That should never have happened to your friend. The doc should have disclosed and left it up to her to decide if she could afford it. grrr
Heidi, those sheets are a bargain! I got some on special about a year ago (think we paid about $90) and I now wash and dry them the same day to get them back on the bed. I couldn't believe the difference!! I can't bear the lower thread count ones now.
MizT, I tried to get some muscle relaxers over here for my jaw. I had them once in the US and one 4 day dose fixed me for a few years. The doctor here told me there was no such thing. I was not a happy camper. How annoying (to be polite) that the insurance company is playing doctor - again.
Well I'm off to lie down now.

Good Evening, Everyone! We have finally been able to check in with my siblings and found that everyone weathered the storms yesterday. One brother lives in Peoria - near several of the towns that were hit hard, but didn't have any damage - just very strong winds and heavy rain. I'm glad that Heidi and MizT weren't affected by the storms!
Broni, with recurring power outages, it's such a good idea to have a plan, and candles and flashlights/torches at the ready! It's also a good idea to know how to use your phone for the internet! Though my hubby uses his phone for internet, I don't.
Hooray for Broni! Two weeks with the B from 7734 away! You definitely deserve a quieter and less stressful time. Hopefully Maz's children appreciate all you have done to honor their mother!
Heidi, I hope you can get some help from IH when you replant your new shrubs! I'm so glad IH was able to get his truck unstuck without damage to your tractor, and you could use his truck to pick up your trailer, chute and scale!
Heidi, what is the brand name of the sheets? The last time we had doctor appointments at the teaching hospital, there was a pre-holiday 'market'/fund raiser in the lobby of the out-patient center, There were sheet sets that I wanted to look at, but hubby was in a hurry. They said they sell them online, but I forgot the name of the company. I wonder if it's the same one.
MIzT, sounds like you had an exhausting day, including the pool. The good thing is that you have found the combination of meds and times that works! So sorry the muscle relaxants aren't included in your meds formulary. I'm not surprised that you're exhausted.
Hubby has to switch to a different insurance company through our retired teachers group. Unfortunately, the companies offered don't include a couple of his 'specialty' meds in their formularies. Of course, they are his most expensive meds.
Midge, I hope your hubby and son are enjoying their time in China and accomplishing everything they're there to do! What a bummer that connections are so bad, making it difficult for you to keep up with them.
MIdge, I hope your teeth repairs are easy and pain free! I also hope all the other required services prior to getting on the transplant list go without a hitch! I also hope your dog Truman's op is successful on Thursday and he has a quick recovery!
MIdge, what a shame that your friend's doctor decided not to tell her about the new meds until now. I hope they prove to be a benefit for her.
Time for me to hit the hay. Sending positive thoughts, healing vibes, prayers, {{{{{HUGS}}}}} and
for all! Good Night!

Heidi, yes, please, and thank you very much! Queen size, white, cream, beige, any pastel, I am not particular. We can settle up when you come for your next visit, or I can send you a check. Just let me know.
Mamacieta, thinking of you on this countdown to surgery day. Will you ask your daughter to let us know how the surgery goes? We will be holding our breaths so to speak till we know you are out and doing OK.
Midge, how terrible for your friend, not being able to have the needed medication because of the cost of it. I do hope they will be a big hlep now, and agree, her health is the best wayto use the money left to her. Do let us know how she does after the two weeks, please. Sounds like you have a lot to get done yourself. I hope the dental work goes smoothly.
Suzy, I cannot believe a doctor would tell you there was no such thing. What is this world coming too? wish I could share some of mine with you. I do hope you feel better for your two days of teaching. Sending healing vibes and all good wishes that it is so.
Happily the muscle relaxer is not expensive. It is an old tried and true drug, generic readily available.
Today we have the birthday party for all November birthdays. those are always fun. I wonder what entertainment they will provide today? some of the groups , usually churches, include some very talented people who come to perform. Once we had a lady who did a historical soliloquy. She was dressed as a well known local character from about 100 years ago, and was so funny. Other times it has been a sing along, always popular, or other musical entertainment. Looking forward to the party, a good excuse to dress up a bit hehehe. I have a new top with a bit of sparkle, cannot decide if I should save that for the Thanksgiving dinner next week, or wear it today. We will see.
for now, I leave hugs for each of you, with extras as needed. I am back to bed for a bit of a nap fore starting my day. till later.

Abbreviations can cause misunderstandings. Especially with me who does not know the common ones. NOW I know what ''B'' stands for. It's an insult to female canines everywhere.
Julie... The brand is Lexington.
I need to put the spears back on my tractor (IH took them off and doesn't know how to get them back on) and feed hay to the cows. It's that time of year again.
