Well folks, I'm off to have afternnon tea with my sister and her hubby. That's what we retired geriatrics do. Coffee, lunch, movies - really whatever we want!!

I am with Heidi, come as you are. Couple of things have kept me from shopping for this party, one of them was getting all the name tags made! The other one was not nearly as fun hehe. So it is my spring green straw hat with a rose on it, to keep the rays at bay, and will join Gail under the shade umbrella with a drink at hand, all clinking with ice and yummy good.

Cyn, just as well or he'd get disqualified! Looks like he's in with a chance too.

CynB, sounds right to me , doing what you want. Right now, sounds like my body is saying it is nite nite time again. No interuptions of sleep like last night, YIPPIEE!!

He is not happy about going for this ultrasound on his neck on the 20th Aug, but I am glad I badgered him into it!!
They are also temporarily relocating the bus stop to near Cafe 66 and the owner is not thrilled about this.
Losing 7 car parking spaces, 2 buses will come and go all day.

Sorry to hear your business sale will not be finalised this Friday after all CynB.

I was looking for party avatars and found others that I like, but few for the party!!!

Sounds like we won't be hungry at breakfast time...I wonder if we are all bringing the same things... haven't got dessert for lunch time but other wise I think lunch is covered... we could always eat birthday cake... always plenty of that around.

Bean, I was wondering how you went hunting for that piece of paper you lost.... hope you found or replaced it!!

Are you delivering papers as well as pamphlets?
Becomes VERY heavy when you are doing papers as well...are the houses close together? I used to do one with Lachie and it certainly does get you fit.
How many drops on your round? I used to do 300 odd. A small lot of about 100 would have been nice!! Exercise and easily achievable.

Viv, not for myself this time, but did buy soomit for D#3. Bought her the Oprah skirt, she tried on one of the others in a print, as a dress, just to see how it looked. It looked lovely and will double up as a dress and a skirt...it better for the price! D#2 could probably get some wear out of it too.

Don't worry Bean, got food besides brekky. Have a banquet lunch organised, plus a table full of desserts and, of course, I whipped up a pav!

Did they move the bus stop because of all the construction down the street? Can't remember what they were building there - was it a cultural centre?

I got all the breakfast food sorted for the party but forgot pancakes and donuts (for the americans) got to find them now!

Found and submitted - wasn't that quick.

Oh, one more thing - I have a new member of the chicken family to introduce to everyone at the party.

Bean - I have 450 and although some streets have houses that are nice and close together, most are spread out on large blocks with industry/vineyards etc on the other side of the road. I get to do a fair bit of walking back to where I started with no deliveries! It would be wonderful if I could just get the car to drive itself to the other end!!! Oh, and a magically refilling bag so I wouldn't have to walk back for the 6 sets I was short for that block!

My legs are much better tonight, thank you. A friend dropped in and showed me some exercises I should do before and after and on my days off. They must have helped!!

Gath is outdoing himself! My avatars are being approved super quick. I wonder if he knows about the party?? For those who didn't participate in the last to post comp, Gath even submitted a couple of poems!!!! Wonder if he'll drop in to the party - LOL.

Bean - forgot - no papers, but a fortnightly magazine that weighs a tonne!! I'll do that one when the girls can help me....

I doubt I'll be back tonight ladies, I have an early start tomorrow (Ebob has to be at school before 7 for an excursion to Sydney Aquarium and IMAX), and I'm already a little sleepy... Have a wonderful evening!!!

last week I sent a email to Cyndi from sc/usa, as I hadn't seen her on the site for a loonngg time.
Today I got a reply:
Rolanda, Thank you so much for your concern. I have been battling a downright crippling headache for two months now. It stems from a nerve in the back of my head at the base and goes all the way around/through to the front, right above my eyes. Because of my previous heart surgery there's not much they can do for it. I can't look at the computer screen for very long before my right eye starts to tear up.
And, just for added fun, I've been having a problem with my cervical spine that I appear to be facing surgery
"to bolt my head to my neck" for. Sounds like fun, huh!
I'm sorry I've been so out of touch, and I will try to keep up a little better. I seem to only get thru about 5 e-mails a day.
Give my love to all my Sudoku Sisters, and greetings to the new ones. I've had e-mails from several other from SA5, and will try to get back to them as soon as I can--if you will please tell them.

What a difference a day makes, life is good today! I have the rest of the week off from doctors and tests, just how did I arrange that hehehe. I do think I am allergic to doctors!
