Speaking of nagging, I hope the person who I won't name has found or replaced that piece of paper and is taking care of everything and is just not saying anything in here to avoid nagging........

VIV, so nice to see you made it up and to the computer. That is enough activity for a day or 2, get to computer, sit and type. NO MORE WASHING!

If you run out of undies, you may wash some of those, but only what you can pick up with one finger and thumb. Kind of pinch it. It's too heavy for lifting like that? Do without!

Any day you over tire yourself sets you back 2 days in your recovery. AND remember, it takes 6 weeks to recover form anesthesia, even if they do nothing but put you to sleep and wake you up again. One anestheologist told me, being put to sleep for surgery is the closest you will ever come to dying and then wake up! Strong meds!

OK, taking off the nursey cap now, and yes, you may save this information for me after my surgery. I promise I will not be washing day after surgery, and probably the first week! and mine will be just a tiny little nip and tuck!

Tricia, who is making her list of things to be done ahead, like cooking meals and freezing, and getting everything washed, and mowing the grass the day fore surgery, to make sure I have nothing to do for a whole week! Boy you gonna get tired of me on here that week hehehe.

Hi MizT, I will sit and have a drink with you. Had a coffee this morning and another with a neighbour this afternoon so that is more than my limit for today. I am sure a hot chocolate would be good about this time of night.

Was just on long enough to see that Viv is among us! So relieved...that bad girl needs all the nagging we can give her.
Hubby is up - before 6 a.m.??? What's up with that??? Only means I'll be back to join you all earlier. Hugs for now!

Nighty-night to the DUGs!
MzT - you are one organized gal! That is the way I would have handled everything a mere 6 months ago...just not getting it together much right now and counting on "this too shall pass" as I love having my ducks lined up! I'm into duck domination!!!

Bowls is popular in the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, South Africa and parts of the United States. It is also gaining momentum in Japan. Because of its competitiveness, skill and the fact that it is a non-contact sport, suits people from teen years through to their nineties. However, there is a considerable professional competition with many younger men and women playing. Since the early 2000s, the sport has developed in Denmark as well.
Another phenomenon is barefoot or corporate bowls, where established clubs in Australia open their greens to paying customers who are organised into teams for a social few hours on the green.
June - this sport sounds great! I love that it is outdoors on the beautiful green grass...plus, leaves plenty of leisure time for socializing.

Hi Rena! I know it's probably cooled down too much to go swimming at the beach, but I did finally get some water toys for you and Amber
I really do need a storage unit (large) for all these dang smilies!!!

Those look like fun, Vici. Amber would love the big one. Next week doesn't look like it is going to warm up. The local homeschooling group usually has a "We're not going back to school" beach party on the first day of school. I haven't heard anything so might not be happening this year.

Pretty quite on here today. Talked to a neighbor and found out I have "the bug" going around. Apparently it consists of feeling wiped out and having a scratchy throat. It feels like you're coming down with a cold, but you never do. That's the good news. Can last for a couple of days to a week. Think I'm somewhere in the middle of that right now.

Morning all, a showery morning here.

Hubby has baseball today too Suzy. Decided he wants to coach U/14s again this year for the last time (?). Then he will be umpiring a school game on Wednesday.

Vici, I started lawn bowls about three years ago. Mainly for the social aspect. Better than being at home. It is the first competitive sport I have really been involved in as a participant.
We also have the local primary school come down and have lawn bowls as one of their sports.

Thanks for all the comments about my photos. I was a bit disappointed that by the time I had reduced them and put them on my page they are nowhere near as clear as the original photos.
I will remove a lot of them in about 4 weeks time.

June, I think baseball is one of those addictive sports. Last year in Taworth there was a woman playing with bad back problems, but she loved the game so much she still wanted to play - she was GOOD too.

Vici, I transferred a photo of our home onto flikr and had it as the main welcome photo. One day I happened to run the curser over the photo and up came my address (which had been in the file I had taken the photo from) which I had not transferred to the flickr site. My mistake but did not trust them after that.
