well, i finally went to see momma mia. i went appliance shopping and made some great decisions. my reward was a movie. i was so glad i saw it. what fun. i tried to find the love from florence, but couldn't. maybe i will try a little harder tomorrow.
i loved your "little" name in easy heidi! ha ha! since it is past midnight i will go off to bed. have a great night/day ladies. oh, and vici, do what ever you need to do to keep your mind busy while painting. i hate that job. i keep my mind off of it by looking at my hubby. there is nothing better than a man with a toolbelt on!

hi ruby. is that south carolina or someplace in oz that you are from. if it is state side you are up VERY late!

Sorry I haven't been here all arvo. Hubby and I have actually done things!!!
We went to the local garden centre and bought some sleepers to start making a veggie garden...and we didn't stop till we ran out of materials.
Told my son on msn and he called us a pair of 'self sufficient hippies'! hehe I like it, it suits us.

Exhaustion! Gail. Visited every Chemist around looking for the right bandage patches, with Laura in tow. Wound is weeping a bit and Sharon a bit down in the dumps.
No Chemist had a 12 inch bandage to cover the lenght of the cut so we have put on a three shorter ones. I have a bit of a cold which is not helping me. And sometimes having to lift Laura is not doing my back much good
A bought lasagne for dinner or Sharon can have the chicken and vegetable soup I made yesterday.

I cannot send enough hugs to you June, but will try my best.

Please keep believing, there IS light at the end of the tunnel.

Didn't go out and buy the lobster though, so hubby and I are having a Madras Curry.

Evening all! Finally home.

Ebob is sick. Her temp was 39.2/102.5, it's now 38.6/101.5. Guess we'll be keeping an eye on her. She's nauseous too. Poor baby.

June, it seems to be neverending, but it will end one day! It's a shame that continuous bandage wasn't the right type. I have bought that before but it's not really good at keeping out the germs as the ends don't seal.

MizT is usually the one who creates our new page then Gath closes out the old one. If we send out a shout she'll let us know if she's up to it yet.....

Liz I don't watch really scary movies, much to hubby's disappointment. He doesn't like to watch movies alone and I refuse to watch the really scary ones - mostly horror..

Suzy, sounds like the 'thing' Jed and his girlfriend had. He ended up on antibots and when I spoke to him today, he said he 'never wanted to be as sick as that again'!
Not here of course! of to make myself bootiful for my date.

I have just read a recipe for brownies which includes a tablespoon of bourbon. At the bottom of the recipe are the following notes:

You can change the nuts to candied fruits if you like.
For a lighter textured brownie, use self-raising flour rather than plain.
There will be a lot of bourbon left in the bottle, you may need to sit back and do something about that.

Sounds like good advice to me!

Gail, that is NOT good news. What other symptoms did they have? I just can't find the on switch for my brain these days because I'm sure you said but I can't remember... Sob.

Fever, total lethargy and a hacking cough. DIL experienced coughing fits.

BTW I am not one to go running to the doctor for every minor ailment, and apparently have passed that on to my son. For him to have taken himself off to the doctor, this one needed it! They both ended up on the antibiotics. Son also got anti=nausea drugs because he felt like 'throwing up' all the time.
Oops, not here, sprung!!! BYE.

Shoot! Guess we'll be keeping an even closer eye on her than we thought! She actually fell asleep on the lounge today - which I don't remember ever seeing her to before. Well, since she was 6 months old anyway.

Hi Suzy,yes keep an eye on Ebob and I hope she is better in the morning. Why do they get sick at night or weekends when no doctors are around.
Sharon's temp went up tonight and she was getting a lot of pain so she is now back in the emergency at the hospital. I was surprised that they had not kept her on antibiotics when she came home. I think it is common to get a repeat infection after a ruptered appendix.

Oh June sorry to hear Sharon is back in hospital.
Weeping wounds are not nice. I know you will keep an eye on it, we have been thru that here and it turned out hubby had golden staph infection after his op.My sister also had this trouble after an op.

Popping in without reading to say Good Maen Sudoluland, but Viv's post about Sharon caught my eye. so sorry to hear she is back in hospital, and June, I know you are worried. Good healing thoughts and fairy dust being sent for a speedy recovery. I shall scroll back and read more.

Viv it was the 'eye' that I had trouble understanding.
Did not think of Golden Staph. Hope that is not her problem as Laura is scheduled to have her tonsils removed on Wednesday and hoping Sharon is well enough to be with her.

Laura had a sleep late this afternoon and I had just got her to sleep tonight when Sharon rang from the hospital and woke her up. Must6/ go and get her back to +sl.eep. S5+omeone is2 he10lping me +type+!!!
