Hello, y'all! Hotter than hades here.
MizT., sorry about the tummy ache. When I had that procedure I awoke so hungry. (Of course, I was empty.) They gave me a small plate of hospital food and I cleaned it. If the plate had had a picture on it, I would have eaten that, too. Maybe you should try some sweet potatoes, English peas and rice--all highly digestible.
Cute, Rolanda, very cute. (the song)

Broni - think I want your doctor! I wasn't allowed to drive for a couple of weeks at least, no work for minimum 4 weeks.... Your doctor is EASY.

There are a couple of local shows on Wednesday night that a few of us enjoy.
Otherwise I think most of our shows are about the same as you have. Rubbish.

Also the nights are a bit cool, so I for one, will go and curl up in bed. A warm place to be even if it is by myself and maybe the cat.

Wednesday evening is cooking show night, plus a musical quiz show called Spicks and Specks, which is usually hilarious! Not to be missed.

On top of that, I was not here tonight because my son and his girlfriend came over for dinner, and to finalise arrangements for the weekend. They have kindly agreed to take D#3 so that hubby and I can travel to Adelaide alone.

Oh! BTW saw the specialist tonight and have the 'All Clear' everything is good. All I have to do is heal and recuperate.

BRONI, good for you, all clear, a great report from your doc! Now do take the recuperate part seriously, pl.ease. It takes you at least 6 weeks to recover from anesthesia, did you know that?

Several years ago, an Anestheologist or however you spell it told me that. Said they use some very strong drugs on you, and if they did nothing but put you to sleep and then just let you wake up, with no surgical procedure, it takes 6 weeks for all the effects of those drugs to clear your system. THAT is why you almost hit a car! Be careful sweetie.

I am still woozy from my "twilite sleep" meds and they said to be careful for 24 hours, it has been 48.

RUBY, Thanks for the suggestion! I did not recall (having problems recalling a LOT at the moment, take notice Broni) sweet potatoes were easy to digest. I have some, might add them to tonight's menu. I did have green peas last night, with my chicken, which also goes down well with me. I am not sure what meat for tonight, and
I do need to get something thawing,

I had been trying to eat lightly, soups and oatmeal and such, but last night even though I was not hungry, I decided I was going to eat a MEAL. Going to force something here, one way or the other Even had appple crisp, there was so much talk of it and blueberry crisp on the EASY page, I had apples in need of being consumed, and the t storms cooled the temps so much yesterday afternoon, I decided I could turn on the oven. It was very good!

MizT sorry it is taking you a little while to get over your anesthesia but hope you are feeling a little better each day.
Did I miss something about Broni almost hitting a car? Pleased to hear that your Dr has given the all clear after your op Broni, but surely he hasn't allowed you to drive yet. I think it is six week of no driving after that procedure in the Uk. Though modern cars aren't as heavy to drive with power everything on them.
I remember picking my friend up after she got out of hospital after the same op(she was in for a week). She moaned and groaned every time I hit even a small bump.

BRENDA, Yep, our Broni was out driving y=to the shops yesterday! Said she almost hit a friends car. That post is one page back, and about 11 from the bottom of the page.

here it was 6 weeks no driving also, for a hysterectomy, and no going back to work for 6 weeks either! Maybe with the newer surgery a bit less, but they do rush everything now. Drive through surgery, back to work fore you are even missed.

When waiting for my procedure, I was lying on a gurney out in the hall, and heard a conversation about calling someone in sick for the day, and explaining that anesthesia was the one saying no work for 24 hours. It seemed the person on the other end was wanting this person to come in second or third shift that day. I somehow got the impression it was AT the hospital this person worked. I would not want a nurse, or tech or anybody remotely responsible for my care back at work and making decisions right after any anesthesia!

BTW, thank you Brenda for your wishes for me, yes, I am getting better each day, the mainest thing now is the groggy and spacey feeling. That will go away, given time. I am just impatient I guess. but noone has ever mentioned my inpatience before hehehe

Not impatience MizT, just eager to get back to living your life, but unfortunately as we get older things take a little longer to get back to 'normal' even if we think it doesn't

I have just had a bad news call about my youngest daughter's (natural) maternal great grandmother. She has been ill for a few years but passed away this morning. It also happens to be her son in laws birthday. Problem we have is that Em is out in Canada at present so we will have to ring her this evening, but will wait until my brother or his wife will be in as em will be a little upset.

Hi everyone. I have been around but I have been busy. Went camping last weekend. Had a great time. Haven't read all the stuff I have missed yet. Not sure where it was when I left. I am currently using hubby's pooter. Mine is not working. Hubby used it this morning for internet and now it is broke. Won't even start.

Today, Amber and I are off to Trail and Castlegar. Taking the Rav in for a service and to do some shopping. We drop the Rav off in Castlegar and hopefully get a loaner to go to Trail for shopping. If no loaner then we do that after.

Cloudy today. Nice day for a drive. Castlegar is about an hour away. Trail is about 20 minutes from Castlegar. Trail has better stores.

New bear story for you all. While we were on our camping trip, we had a visit from the bear. I had the garbage in the mudroom thinking it would be safe there. No such luck. We have two cats that live in the mudroom so the outside door has a cat door in it. It is an old wood door with five thinner panels. The bear reached in through the cat door and broke the bottom panel to drag out the garbage. At least he didn't come in the house. And he left the barbecue alone. Never a dull moment here.
