RENA, good to see you back with us, Oh your bear story is scary, glad I do not have bears to contend with.
I hope your shopping trip goes as planned today. You are being green, combining trips and such to save fuel an dtime for you also. Nice when it works out like that.
Ahhh, were you making up for all the posts you have not posted lately? using your quota of posts all on one day?
How is the planning comming along for your Aussie trip? Do you have tickets yet? who will you visit? That would be a trip of a lifetime for me, ging to Australia. maybe when I win the lottery.

Good Morning All,
Yes I hear you loud and clear MizT, but they only gave me two weeks off work as I am a desk worker. Recuperation is another thing and that is still 6-8 weeks for the body to heal itself. One interesting point is that there were no anitibiotics this time apart from before the operation, my body is doing it all by itself.

Broni, go to your GP and get an extension. I had NO external incisions and there is no way I could have gone to work after 2 weeks. I felt great, did some stuff, and ended up in worse shape than I was when I left hospital. I think your doc is not in touch with the real world.

Rena, love your bear story. When we were camping at Kings Canyon we were told to leave no food anywhere in the car, tent or campsite, not even an empty candy wrapper. Food had to be locked into a huge steel box and rubbish in the massive bear-proof bins. The stories about cars being ripped open were enough to convince us to follow the rules!!! Though the camp management seemed more worried about having to put down the bears which did the damage....

Zusy trust me if I do not feel up to it I wont go, this is my body and I have learnt to read it well over the years and am not about to stuff it up just because some quack says I can. Give me more credit than that girl! I may do silly things sometimes but this is the only body I have.

Good Morning all. Light rain, but we need it. Hope you have a good day in Brisbane Jonjo.
After all you have been through Broni I am sure you will take care. Poor Suzy is just worried about you. It shows how close we all are even if we have not met.
Rena I hope you have started to organise your trip. Flights may not be a problem but do check the availability of the train from Perth to Adelaide.
Hope you are soon over the anaesthetic Tricia. I have never had any but I do know it effects different people differently. (That was a mouthful!!)

Hi everybody.
Yesterday I decided to give the 16 x 16 a go.....BIG mistake!! Have not been able to leave the dashed thing alone..every time I wander past I stop and ponder..sometimes adding a number or two...it is driving me mad! I am so close to having it out but I'm one of these pedantic sods that refuses to guess!!!
One good thing tho...I was so absorbed I didn't even realise what the date was ...the anniversary of mums death. In my sudokuhaze I thought yesterday was the 22nd...until my sister rang me.
Funny thing is tho my subconcious was on the ball...have had the most vivid dreams about mum over the last few nights....first for a few months.

Hello, y'all. It's raining nicely now with thunder in the distance. The breeze feels like ice, especially after the heat of the last two days.

I am still trying to get over my little knee op.
I think the anesthetic affects us more than we think.
Yesterday I had an afternoon nap, this is not like me, I have been very tired.
One operation to go, August 25th to fix my hernia.

Suzy said to Broni: " I felt fantastic after 2 weeks Broni. It was only after I did stuff that I realised I wasn't as fantastic as I felt. Huh? You know what I mean...."
Broni , Suzy forgets to say, I was telling her not to over-do at that time and why, just like we both are telling you now. Maybe she is wanting you to learn from her mistake, and not go out and make your own.
IF you get overtired and really over do, it puts you back three days in your recovery for every day you do it! That is just being too tired, not doing any damage to internal stitches and internal cutting and stuff. so, do it only ONCE you hear??
One more thing, your incisions, internal and out, are at thier weakest from day 10 till about day 15, and that can vary to longer. JUST then you are planning to go back to work. that is when your disolving stitches dissapear, and before your healed enough to hold together if under pressure. This is gross, what I am about to say, so if squemish, noone but Broni has to read it. In school, we were taught this, then they showed a film.
A patient needed to be opened again because of some problem, about 11 days post op. REGULAR incision, open surgery, but it applies to the little ones too, on a smaller scale. the doc did not need a scappel to open the abdomen. He placed his hands, one on each side of the incision, pressed down slightly, and pulled his hands in opposite directions. the incision pooped right back open!
Enough said, and Broni, we are saying all this with the utmost love and care, you know, and cause we are both a bit bossy

I was still thinking about Rena's Bear visit, when I read on a news site, in California, up north of LA, near a burned out area, a lady was walking on her ranch with her dogs and malled by a BEAR. She somehow managed to get away from the bear and drive herself to medical help. They did 10 hours of surgery on her head and face! Scary thing these bears. I read, bears are loosing thier fear of humans, as they loose more and more territiry to fires and man moving in to thier teritory or if they have a few good years and population increases. The bears are really fighting for thier lives, so they are viscious in thier attacks when they do ocur.
