Dear Martha,
My heart goes out to you. I know about the heartaches a child can bring to you. My younger son was always the one who would not communicate. He was the one I spent a fortune in therapy for anger management. Even now I worry because he chose to be a Marine. He says it's a career for him but a rocket launcher? Why does he have to pick something that will put him in harm's way in a war that I don't agree with that so-called president (sorry, if you're a Republican) He is married and has a son. I hope, I desparately hope that he will be around to see Brandon as an adult. See even when they're adults you still worry. But they do grow up and yours will too. We can commiserate together until they're mature!

I would love to pay her a visit up in the mountains someday, but it's a LONG way from FL. Bet you had lots of fun together. I'd love to hear more about what you did there. Thanks for the birthday wishes. We had a great time with Judy and her husband. Unfortunately, we don't fish, but they were ready for a break from fishing by the time we arrived. My husband did take some pictures and a few should appear on 'easy' in a couple of months.

Gday Martha, I'm sorry it has taken me so long to get here but this Sudokuland is a BIG place!
I flicked through some of your photos(you'll forgive me if I don't stop to look at ALL of them!). It would seem you have a camera with you all the time. Loved the ones of the carpark and the redwoods. I have only just started to pick up the camera recently but have realised how much I like photography, especially digital. Being a frugal person, I hated the expense of getting films developed but there's just no excuse anymore!
I've brought you a bottle of Aussie bubbly, a plate of nibblies and an invitation to pop into my page anytime. Take a stroll around the garden, find a seat in the shade and meet my family. Your son can play with the cats, they're good with the littlies.

Martha - don't know if you have been on-line to see my notices, but we are having a meet in SF for Katitude (Kathi) from Brisbane in a couple of weeks. We are meeting at Pier 33 (Butterfly restaurant) at 11:30 for lunch. I would love it if you could join us. Keith will be there, but because of the mid-week timing of their stay in SF, that's about all of us so far.
