Well Lori, are you another quiet member? Not sure how long you have had your own page, but I have a tradition of welcoming people to their pages by leaving a double chocolate fudge beavertail pastry. Since I'm late, I'll leave an extra one, apple cinnamon. Hope you enjoy and welcome to your own little space in Sudoku-land.

Why thank you Lori, I look forward to your daughter's brownies. Love a good brownie...in fact, do you think you could post the receep up on the 'Recipe Page' in the Forums section. I'd really appreciate that because I have a shocking sweet tooth!

Thanks for your response, Lori. I figured that you might be lurking around! Don't you just love obnoxious, energetic, affectionate, entertaining dogs? Your boy is very handsome and weighs more than both of our girls put together! Hope to see you around ... XO

Lori, thanks heaps for dropping in to see my pics. In answer to you query, the pics by our names are called avatars and I am the last person to ask anything pootery! The answers you seek are all in the Members Special Features (which you'll find in the Forum section). All your questions are probably answered there or you could go directly to the pages of those in the know. All the best in your attempts to get an avatar, mine where all provided to me by MizTricia who walked me through the process.

Lori, yes, way far away. We live 150 miles north of San Francisco, and were in Eastern Canada when the fires were raging. I'm so sorry for all the suffering that took place around where you live. I hope you and yours escaped without serious hardship and that the rebuilding goes well for those that endured loss. Wishing you well.

Oh, and, I should give you one of my Redwood Burls as a page warming gift. Tend it well, and in 1000 years you'll have a majestic Redwood tree. See my Flickr site for more info if you've never been to the Redwoods.

Hey Lori! Great to have you stop by my place and see my niece's performance. She is a sweetie and loves to dance - and we love to watch her ...now I'm watching all sorts of dance shows on TV (eg. "So you think you can dance")
Love your pup pic - what a doll!

Haley (my niece) has done well. She has many trophies and scholarships (another type of award). Her mom works part-time at the dance studio (it's in Cupertino or Santa Clara) to offset the costs. My friend recently turned me onto "Dancing with the Stars" and I had fun watching that last More...

season. I think it is so cool that your kids dance together. I would love it if my husband wanted to take dance together. I took line dancing classes locally for a few years and loved moving to the music (especially the latin songs).
Congrats on the new pup. We have a cat that barely allows us to live here...let alone add another pet to the mix

Lori, about your missing avatar. I wonder, was it submitted late last year? When we had 'the big crash' early this year, all photos, avatars and smilies that had been submitted any time from late last year were lost! That is why I have lost the photo of the big Christmas meet we had here last December. I haven't taken it out of my picture gallery because I would lose all the comments people posted.

Hi Lori... I had lots of help from Ian (he also has a Mac) and Kathy/ Maryland. The steps Ian gave me won't work unless you have a Mac. Even with the instructions, it took me all day, and I don't actually understand how I did it.

I used to breed and show Collies for 20+ years, and bred a bunch of Champions, but I got burned out with showing, so I haven't had a litter in 9 years, but have gotten active in Collie Rescue. I take in the unplaceable geriatrics. Right now I have 12 Collies, 5 of which are rescues. ALL are dearly loved house dogs, with a fenced in 1+ acre yard with their own dog door. All in the middle of our 150 acre farm.

Sorry, I meant to include the website to help you make your own avatar. It actually did help me after several emotional breakdowns on my part.
It's... http://resizepic.com

I haven't shown this Betta yet. The State Fair is next month. I'm showing this guy and an indigo and white marbled Crowntail Betta. (who I think is even better, but his picture wasn't as good for an avatar.)

Congrats!!! Doesn't that feel great when you accomplish something like that??

I have about 40 Bettas and have only just started breeding. I adore the Half Moon's most of all, but have had better luck breeding the Crowntails. Most of my stock was purchased as either show stock or offspring of winning show stock. The show at the State Fair will be my first, and I only entered these 2 males to start with. If you'd like, I can post a picture of the other entry as well.

Thanks for the visit and how did you know about my weakness for brownies?
BTW, my favorite site for making (sizing) avatars is www.shrinkpictures.com There is a place to click on just for avatars. (set the avatar size to 50) You get three options to pick from. It's the easiest site I've found. And believe me, I need easy!

Lori...I'm not exactly sure which smilies you mean. The regular assortment are easy. First, look above the box where ot says 'comments'. Next to that it says smilies. First, click in the comments box where you want the smilie, then click on the word 'smilies'. An assortment of smilies will appear. Click on the one you want and the code, in parenthesis, will appear in your comment. It will stay as code until you hit 'submit comment'. It magically appears as your selected smilie on your comment!

I haven't figured out the personalized smilies yet.

OK, Lori... The "fluffy" ones are "Rough Collies", and the "Flat Haired" ones are "Smooth Collies". I have both.

I have no pictures on my "pooter" of the sheep, and need to learn how to scan some in AFTER I take them. I will do so soon.
