Be kinder than necessary,

for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle .

Live simply,

Love generously,

Care deeply,

Speak kindly.......

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...

It's about learning to dance in the rain.

Hello, I just watched your Youtube. I haven't heard that song for ages. I do sometimes sing the chorus to my daughter when her brother and Dad are being silly.

Clowns to the left of me jokers to the right was inspired by todays observations from my bench...watching workmen dig up a kerb/curb (sp?) which they had only just finished putting in this week and then proceeded to have a smoko for 2 hours - the tea must've have been hot. I might go over and ask them tomorrow 'why?'

...and then I got beeped on the freeway for trying to get into the only lane I could - I had been blinking my clicker for a while so it wasn't like I was cutting them off...so he got the finger - he deserved it and then he had the cheek to smile at me...

...and then the bloody dentist...hovered over a tooth for an eternity - thought my number was up - and then he said 'perfect'. I asked why he hovered, he said he wanted to keep me on my toes. I called him a big sheet. He laughed. I am not amused this evening.

I'm embarrassed to say that looking at this video clip of Rose Royce - I too wore a headband (sequined) to discos - I wasn't the only one...

(Dot's Theme - 'Movin' the Decimal.' was an option)

Billy,
Beautiful shots from Mt. Kinabalu. That looks like a rugged climb. It’s not the 13,000 ft final altitude that gets you, it’s the 10,000 ft climb from the forest below. I don’t know if I could do that in 2 days.

Bobbles,
The climb started at 1500m. We reached the guesthouse about 6 hours later which was at 3500m. It was interesting to experience the change of temp, by the time we reached the g/house I needed my thermals. We were woken up at 2.30am to do the final ascent. Out of the 8 of us that bunked in together only 3 of us went, the others were too sore!! In the pitch black I could hear people vomiting from altitude sickness and they had to turn back. Out of approx 100 climbers only about 30 or so made the final ascent. I had two guides with me and they literally dragged my arse the last 100metres - I was so exhausted. The climb down, however, was a doddle!

.....but then ....that night...had a massage - and couldn't bear it when she touched my legs...I was in agony...and then...Brunei airport - silly me used the toilet...you know, the hole in the ground one...got down and thought uh oh... Others using the facilities thought I must've been giving birth to a cow as I tried to stand upright again...just thought I'd share that.

Hi, Billy. In reply to your question, I was in Ilford until 1957, then went to boarding school and college in Clacton from 1957 - 1968. Then I lived in Basildon from '68 to '70 and again from '74 - '84. Can't say I thought much of Basildon!! The West country is much better, and Ftrance better still.

Oh, and the soliloquy. Good old Will. Egocentrics should have to read that daily, but it is kind of depressing.

Ange - thought I'd share this from you...

'The paradox of our time in history is that we spend more, but have less; we buy more, but enjoy it less. We have bigger houses and smaller families; more conveniences, but less time; we have more degrees, but less sense; more knowledge, but less judgment; more experts, but more problems; more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry too quickly, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too seldom, watch TV too much.

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often. We've learned how to make a living, but not a life; we've added years to life, not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet the new neighbor.

We've conquered outer space, but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things. We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've split the atom, but not our prejudice.

We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information to produce more copies than ever, but have less communication.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion; tall men, and short character; steep profits, and shallow relationships.

These are the times of world peace, but domestic warfare; more leisure, but less fun; more kinds of food, but less nutrition.

These are days of two incomes, but more divorce; of fancier houses, but broken homes.

These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throw-away morality, one-night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer to quiet, to kill.

It is a time when there is much in the show window and nothing in the stockroom; a time when technology can bring this letter to you...'

This is not to depress anyone reading it, but for some it will strike a chord...change is possible if you have a mind to...x

Chaucer: 'I am so confus, that I may not seye' ...I shall take my leave now and plant a small kiss on your neck below your beautiful chin.
'For god's sake man, what are you doing?' He
replies more calmly than he had thought able: ' I am going for a walk..and I
may be some time.'

Billy I agree whole heartedly with your sentiments. Connolly should stop fartarsing about with the team and let it settle down. As far as the World Cup goes - my heart says yes but my head says no....but we'll see. Stranger things have happened at sea, you know!

Billy....You are my idol!!!! You are beautiful, witty and carefree...you have felt the lows and left the woes behind you! You are quick of tongue and write in verse that no others can command. You are a lady when that's what's needed! You know the joy of playing the tramp, Oh boy, what fun that is!!!!You have it all! You have felt the pain and come out a winner! At least for now...You've done it well, if not always... your way..Yet lets leave a note,....Your girls will be well off if they but let you know, that by doing it your way, you've done it best! They returned to the nest, because of you and your way...Billy...I've made a mess, but I think you get the gest..your way was best. for all the rest!...... I'm no poet it, and all know it..but I have tried to not jive with your hide!!!!! I love the way you are!

Well glad to hear he wasn't your slave driver (him in the Poto), most men like women that can get in strange positions, but not sure were talking about the same thig, never tried yoga, but looks like a lot of work, try climbing telephone poles with gaffs, that will also keep you in shape, well thanks for visiting my page and talk to you later, unless your straight jacketed and cuffed.

“the little and almost insensible impressions on our tender infancies have very important and lasting consequences.', also John Locke, did this affect your childhood? climbing telegraph poles is a fun thing to do and only requires one more buckle around your waist, and one around each leg with a 3 inch gaff (look that up in wikipedia) to gently push holes into the pole about 1/2 inch to support your weight, lots of fun new youtube, love the song, could do without the woman portrayed though

Never abseiled myself. requires a belay, not used on telegraph poles, only a leather strap, not much used going up or down, never thought of her lips that way, mabey more like a female dog's behind? sideway's? any way don't let them keep you locked up for to long, the answer was in the thinker (where to touch him)

billy, from the little I know about you from the sort of responses you post, your choice of Youtube selections, and the pictures you've decided to put up of yourself on Flickr, I think I can let my imagination run pretty wild and won't be far off the mark visualizing your air guitar rendition of Stairway to Heaven ... and, by the way, it was very well done.
