Okay, okay, so I've had a hard day at work!
I wasn't think about the Canning River.
I come from Albany and we have the King River and the Kalgan River, that's all I have to remember and you'll get to see them one day.

G'day Jaz! So much has happened in Sudokuland while I was busy with other things since April 17! I am slowly catching up a little bit & just today found your beautiful tribute to Lynda from Perth. That was so lovely. She did seem like a very special person. So how are you? Are you making any plans yet for a return to the U.S.? Jano from Lebanon is coming to FL next month & will be staying with Chalkboard (aka Karen). I am looking forward to meeting her. Hope I'll get to meet you someday, too. Hugs

Dear Jaz,
Thank you for your support while I have been ill. I never expected such a response from this site, everyone’s concern and caring has overwhelmed me. I can only say that it is the genuine people here who make this a very unique place to share our hopes, dreams, ups and downs. So thank you for being there.

So we are talking a novella of tremendous proportions... A slow start, easy in the middle with a fast ending... Or volume 1 of 8? Long and passionate all the way through with a slow twist to the ending? I still have my library ticket somewhere, I must dig it out and get the books out on loan...

Hello Jaz - Wow! It sounds like you had an incredible vacation! I love to visit Sanibel Island! My mom and dad live in Cape Coral, which is west of Fort Myers. I love to drive down to Sanibel and just drive the island. The hurricane Charley really did a lot of destruction on Sanibel back in 2004. It took a lot of trees, but the trees down there grow very fast. It is one of the best places to find sea shells in the Gulf.

You sure visited a lot of places. Now you will need a vacation after your vacation just to rest up!!!!

Hi, Jaz! What a wonderful trip! It sounds like you and Jim had a blast! I'm glad you enjoyed seeing a bit of the East Coast (as well as the Gulf Coast). I would love to have a chance to meet you on a future trip. I get down to Jacksonville Beach a lot. So the next time you visit your aunt, let me know. I'd love to treat you to lunch at one of my favorite restaurants! Good to have you back on the site!

What a BRILL idea. Loved the Bar Tour. In fact, when (if) the weather warms up, I have just about convinced hubby to go on one.
Hope it doesn't take too long for your body clock to get back on time. There is nothing like a holiday for making you appreciate the things you have at home...like your own bed and toilet!

Hello Jaz - You were very fortunate to stay on Sanibel Island. My family and I spent Christmas on Sanibel back in 2005! We have friends with a time share and they offered it to us for a week knowing we were going down to visit my mom and dad for Christmas. We would sit on our porch and watch the beautiful sunrises while drinking our morning coffee! What a life. My family found some of the most beautiful shells also. My daughters and I spent one day just visiting all the little shops on the Island. It was a lot of fun. I haven't seen the new bridge. They were just starting it back in 2005.

Years ago when my aunt and uncle first moved to Florida, my uncle had a boat. He took us on a ride when we went down to visit them. He took us over to Captiva (North end of Sanibel) for brunch one morning. It was a lot of fun. Captiva was hit very hard by the Huricane also. When we were there for Christmas, some of the resorts had not been reopened yet. The windows were still broken and curtains flying out the windows. It was creepy looking!

I enjoy visiting Florida, but I don't think I could take the heat and humidity to live there. Do you get the humidity in Australia like that?

I hope to go back around March or April to meet up with Chalkboard, Carol and Kathy again. Maybe we could time it to meet you too? Ahhh food for thought........

Have a great day!

Hi, Jaz!

Yes, key limes are different from regular (what we call Persian) limes, but if you can't get key lime juice, you can use the other. There is a very popular brand of bottled key lime juice sold here that maybe - just maybe - they sell there. It's called "Nellie & Joe's Famous Key West Lime Juice". But whatever juice you use, don't add green food coloring!

Hi Jaz...was good to catch you in chat tonight.
I'm glad that you and Jim where able to have a good laugh in chat about the cannibals.... I think the whole progression from racoons to all the cannibal jokes was such a hoot....he was so quick coming out with his string of jokes after I mentioned cousin James, [many times removed], demise.
I would certainly like to meet Jim if and when he gets to Melbourne.
Catch you round the traps....
