I'm across the state from you! My husband and I moved to Spring Hill (Hernando County) last December. We are really in Massachusetts for most of the summer where we've lived for the past 22 years.
Your granddog is a cutie. The kids look pretty good, too!

You must get back to quilting. I just took nine fat quarters and cut them into 6 x 6 squares. Guess what I made with nine of each of nine fabrics and a black batik lattice! I'll finish the binding in the morning. When I get time, I plan to couch some skinny ribbon and some outrageous threads onto the thing just to make it more interesting and hopefully develop a focal point.
Once while vacationing in New Port Richey, we drove on SR 50 across the state to get to Titusville where two of my former students lived. That was a long drive then as the road was not so great. It's much easier now around Orlando.

Hi CeeCee! Yes my son just graduated from high school (valedictorian) and will be going to Drew University in NJ to study economics. He will be playing on their soccer team. Soccer is his passion. My oldest daughter just finished her freshman year at Boston College. She is studying international relations and will be starting a minor in Arabic in the fall. They grow up so fast! Just keep those nine fat quarters in a separate place. That is your only homework for now. There will be more!

CeeCee, sorry to hear about the upcoming surgery. It's always a stress regardless how serious or complicated. Just let me know, and I'll give you your homework to do!
There are only two fabrics in that stack and whack quilt--the colored print and the background! Amazing isn't it? The colors and designs show up according to where the design falls when it is cut.

Oh, CeeCee, I am still in MA but am going to FL Sept. 25. Can hardly wait to get back. I'm flying back to MA October 16 with a friend who will be here for a week. Then I'm packing my SUV for the drive down. Hubby is not coming until Dec. 8. It's his loss!

Hi CeeCee - thanks for the pudding. The Dr recommended eating cold things to help control the swelling. Chocolate pudding fits the bill very nicely. I'll polish it off today and whip a batch for you next week. I like a dollop of whip cream with mine so I send that along too! Good Luck!
