RENA, Hello, I was wondering if you had worked on the binding of your quilt? wish I could just drop in for a visit and show you, sit and chat a while, work on our quilts together, and see your quilt, too. Hope to see you again soon.

Hi Rena, I saw your question about Smuggs. It's Smuggler's Notch, a resort area in Vermont, near the Canadian border, where Stella is going to go next week, I think. She talked about it a bit in the last few days, but I couldn't find it.

Thanks for your drop-in Rena. I had actually forgotten which falls were in that picture (senior moment I guess). My sisters lives in Thunder Bay and I took that photo several years ago and thought it might have been off the Trans-Canada east of Thunder Bay. I'll now add the name. Cheers, and do hope your enjoying your summer. Oh, and lots more northern BC shots on my Flickr photos.

Rena, just thought I'd drop in to say that when I try to look through yur photos in your gallery, I couldn't go from one to another using the next/previous function. I also found that if I selected a certain picture for large viewing, a different pic would come up. Don't know if the problem is at my end or not but if anyone else mentions it, let Gath know. I think I have come across this fault on other pages but I thought as you are currently working on your page you might see this message.

Rena, I could only get two pictures to show up from your gallery no matter which picture I chose. I don't know if it is at my end, but I haven't had this problem before. I just thought I would let you know. Have a great day!

Hi Rena! Love your view from up there - great photo! Just looking at it helped me cool off a little. Also, just found your chickadee picture - so cute. Hope all is well with you & your family. I hope I get to visit B.C. someday. It's on my wish list of places in the world I want to see before I die. I'm hoping to have at least 20 more years to travel!!!

Hi Rena - Where is Christina Lake? My favorite city is Victoria, have driven up the Island serveral times once took the Ferry North. Was at Prince Rupert once, have driven up Going to the Sun Hiway 3 or 4 times (one time it didn't snow). Driven across BC to Jasper a couple of times via Mt. Robson, also been through the Okanagan a couple of times including the Hoodoos. BC is a beautiful Province, so is Western Alberta (love the drive from Baniff to Jasper). Personally, I don't believe the Alps have anything on the Canadian Rockies (they do over the US Rockies).

Stop by my site for some Strawberry Pie and a Safari (the road is a little bumpy in the Construction site (photos are not properly organized). (I hope that came out Evening. - Once when in Jasper the sun set about 10:30 and was dusk till well after 11 pm - ol' sol rose around 3 am - short nights in June).

Rena, I was rapt to read on SA2 that the Mighty Gath had fixed your gallery so I whipped over here to see it. Fantastic. We had a family reunion last year for Mum's 80th. I'm one of six kids, so there was Mum and Dad, the six sibs and our spouses plus most of the grands and almost all the greats. The 'immediate family' lunch we had on her actual birthday, there were 43 of us! The next day was an open house so add in several of my aunts and uncles....sheesh!
Congrats on getting it all up and running.

Hi,Rena!
Thank you for coming to visit me.
And chocolates -- are delicious.
Just looked through your pictures, what a lovely and strong family you have.
Honestly, I thought that in Vancouver is so much North, that it is always if not say cool, but definitely no swimming time. But on your pictures I could see that your kids are enjoying beach time very much.
I'm leaving for you and all your friends a basket of very fresh and riped mangoes,(as it is season for them here right now.)
Please come and visit my virtual home at any time and see how is life going on another side of our planet, (at least how I see it).
Cheers,

Hi Rena You come from a beautifil area of the country. There must be a lot of fish in the lake. Yes, my grandaughter does fish and has a lot of fun when out. She had something else to do the day I took the pictures. She has caught crappie and has had some funny experiences on the boat. One time she cast and caught her brothers hat and sunk it in the water on her cast. Another time she caught a rainbow trout and it peed on her brother. Those fun times are never forgotten.

Rena, I'm so glad you stopped by. Thanks, too, for the chocolates. I've put them out for all to enjoy.

I've looked through your picture album. The family reunion looks like a grand time. And I think your yard looks so amazingly beautiful - like something off a movie set! Someday I'd like to make it up to B.C.

Cheers.

Rena for your best wishes on James 18th birthday. He may be a big boy now (over 6') but at heart he is still my baby. It doesn't seem 18 years ago that we first saw him - sweet little 9 & half pound with a squished up face and bent over ear because he had run out of room. What a little fatty he was - now he's quite thin.
We are heading out for dinner to celebrate his birthday tonight and he is organising a party with his mates later in the month.

Thank you for the Birthday Wishes last week. I had dinner with Mom that evening. She then flew up to Portland, OR for a Class Reunion (68th) and flew back for the wedding on Saturday of her only grand-nephew (my cousin’s son – 41, first marriage). Mom (85) refused to take a nap after getting up at 3 am for the flight back and insisted on driving (through Los Angeles to Orange County) for the wedding – she still drives fast. By the time we got to there we were not speaking & the drive back was even worse – getting home around midnight. The wedding & reception was wonderful (so was the beach party the night before, which Mom had missed). Dad always said the reason we fight, was because we are so much alike – both strong willed women. But, we will always love each other. I left Tuesday, had a meeting in No. Calif. Wednesday afternoon, and decided to camp at Burney Falls State Park – making my dog happy, before returning home. The back is still bothering me – but no violent pains – more of the gnawing variety and when standing up after sitting too long (so there were a lot of stops on the way down and on the way home). Thanks for the good wishes – I’m safe if not sound.

Hi, Rena! I seem to keep missing you, so thought I would check in to be sure everything is going well with you and your family! I haven't been able to spend much time at SA3 lately, and the next 2 weeks will be away from a computer. As I suffer my withdrawal symptoms, I'll be thinking of you and all the other SA regulars. Just think, it will "almost" be fall by the time I can post again. Take care, and I hope to "see" you again soon!

Rena - I can't agree more. I have heard people say we don't support the war but support the troops. I don't want to see our service men, spit upon and attacked like they were after Vietnam. It has already started in Portland, OR and other places.

I believe that the videos, remind people of who our soldiers are - every day people who have a sense of duty & a different perspective of life after they return. We take so much for granted.
