I'm sure you must be asleep now, or perhaps you and Steven are indulging in a little more exercise, how fun that is....,but I wanted to thank you for the tip about marking time when doing stuff while standing still. Since the dog usually goes with me twice a day on my walks, Id that I must wait for him to sniff about, among other things, and my rhythmn was thrown off. Tonight we added another mile and a half, and the marking time was a great help to me. We can only get better. The dog has been on a diet since he was a year old(string beans, carrots and kibble), so with the increased exercise, he should also lose weight. Cheers.

GannieMo, I'll put on my pedometer tomorrow. I was feeling cra*py and succumed to sugar. I did take a moonlight walk with the dogs. Beautiful, cold. The dogs loved it.

Love the Photo! Are you really sure Steve will be happy to have you lose weight? I know Sully always tells me he likes a hand full, but I can hold the rolls. He wants me healthy, but not too skinny he warns. Bet Steve feels about the same. You two seem to be a real fun couple to be around! Good test tonight, We are getting ready to go out to dinner....I'll see how I make out. Walked almost two miles this morning, then took all the Christmas stuff down inside and out, packed it away, and dusted and vaccummed the house, so I had a pretty good work out already. Will take my evening walk after we come back home. Hope you are not too tired today. Grey skies do make it harder it seems, but you are doing great! Cheers!

re your comment on my page - apart from you, me, Liz and Catherine, who else is there in this neck of the woods? Or in England? - André would come, but that only makes five silly women together!! maybe that would be quite enough tho!! Let me know if you have any Ozzies visiting - has Chris from Canberra been in touch? - he's coming over in April I think.

Oh, Mo! You are without a doubt, the cutest! My friend Lynn's motto is 'Life is meant to be lived!' ...And, honey, you know how to live. I know you're abstaining from alcohol now, but the MOMENT you take your next sip, please know that there's a sister on the other side of the pond lifting her glass to toast with you! Cheers, good lookin'!

Sun 7 Jan: Hello Mo - the sheep were in the PADDOCK (field, what's this pommie talk) but just not in the photo. They were probably tucked up in their little woolly beds fast asleep.
Just off to town with Kirilee.

Okay. Seems to be working today. I wanted to tell you that I agree with bert that you are so cute! I'll bet you are the life of every party you attend. How I would love to hear you sing! I admire your efforts to lose weight & restore your 26 inch waist, but I hope you'll remember that it's what's INSIDE the package, not the wrapping, that counts!! Also, I went back to Flickr to see your latest photos. Some nice shots, & those lotus flowers are SO pretty!!!

8439 steps today. Not good enough as I will be spending 6 hours in the car tomorrow. I have to drive to Toulouse and back to take my laptop to be fixed. It is a JVC mini note and this is the nearest place. Still, a girlfriend is coming with me so we may have to visit a few shops!!!
Eating wise I'm still no alcohol, no dairy, no wheat, chocolate or sugar. That's 7 days now. I shall weigh in the morning.

GannieMo, We went in the daylight today, and I even put my snowshoes on. 5636 steps so far today. I did well with my eating today, too.
I forget if you were part of ''The Outlander'' crew, but I am listening to ''Dragonfly in Amber'' now and I'm halfway through.

Hello Mo - we go to Perth on Friday morning for Kirilee's flight mid afternoon.
Rola & Peter are coming here for dinner tonight so I've got some preparing to do, not much as it's only going to be cold meat & salad. I have the blue vein cheese ready, though!

Stepped on the scales this morning have lost 2.4kgs, thats a tad over 5lb. Have spent 6 hours driving today so only 2200 steps so far and it hasn't stopped raining all day so I won't be hitting my target today

Love you photo! with the kgs dropped, I am going to buy a scale today, always avoided them when possible, but want to be able to keep up with everyone! Hopefully I can with the loss too. I did pretty good at the party, although with the free beer, I did have a few but also danced a lot so maybe things will balance out! Keep it up, we can do this together

Okay, I did it, I just got back from my lunch hour, went and bought a scale and it came with a pedometer BONUS! I even used the scale, (weight will not be posted, just amount lost) I did see that I have lost about 18 lbs in the past 6 months (since the last time I was weighed) Slow and steady wins the race!

Only 5322 steps today plus 2000 for 20 minutes of exercise. I decided my legs were getting all the work out so spent some time with a couple of cans of tomatoes as weights working my upper body. Wow I'm so unfit. It was more hard work than the walking.

Good for you GannieMo! I had 5900 steps yesterday. 2577 so far today. I've lost about 2# so far. I need to quit weighing daily and just weigh once a week. I took my brother's puppy out today for a ''training walk''. He did really well.

GannieMo, Thats good! I'm told that adding strength training helps to increase the metabolism. The body does change with the muscle development, even though there's not a lot of weight change at first, since muscle weighs more than fat. It is hard but be sure to remember to do some simple stretches before and even after you work with any kind of weights (including tomato cans). The weather is starting to change so my walking is reduced, but I still get at least 3/4 of a mile in over the entire day. I have started to add to my gym program to keep me going. Plus today, I've cut out ALL alcohol, and started with the food portion control. I'll weigh in tomorrow, but don't expect much of a change yet in the weight. I'll keep you posted.

Hi there Lady in Red! Don't let last year's calendar get you down, this is a new year! I took my pedometer off last night and only had 1,705 steps and I had put it on at 1:00 p.m. I have a lot more steps ahead of me to make 10,000 I feel if I increase some everyday I will eventually make it.

GM, You are too much, walking like a woman really out to lose weight and taking superb pictures too. You are one talented lady. Wish I had views like those where I walk. Keep up the good work. My weigh in results are posted on my page. They are about what I expected for this week, but next week will be different!
