WOO HOO Rosemary, you go girl! I don't have a scale yet so don't have a number of lbs lost (if any) I am going to buy one today and will start posting next week. I went to our party this weekend and watched whatI ate and did a few beers, but danced a lot too so think I did okay!

Okay, I did it, I just got back from my lunch hour, went and bought a scale and it came with a pedometer BONUS! I even used the scale, (weight will not be posted, just amount lost) I did see that I have lost about 18 lbs in the past 6 months (since the last time I was weighed) Slow and steady wins the race!

Only 5322 steps today plus 2000 for 20 minutes of exercise. I decided my legs were getting all the work out so spent some time with a couple of cans of tomatoes as weights working my upper body. Wow I'm so unfit. It was more hard work than the walking.
How was it today after the weekend?

OK Horrible news :(
bought some new digital scales and I weigh 3 kgs heavier than the old scales!!!

so my starting point was 118kgs not 115kg but good news is that I have lost 2.7 kgs as of this arvo.
bummer means a few more to lose though!!

I had a depressing turn this morning. Feeling very pleased with my walk I set about transferring info from last years calander to this years. Got to March 6 th and found I'd written down my weight. 4 kilos less than yesterdays!!!! Why oh why didn't we do this last year I'd have a head start.

Rose, I know what you mean about the scales, my 18 lbs loss since June is what my dr. scale said and the one I bought yesterday. Every scale is going to be a little different. Let us revel in our success and improve on the not so successful!

Rosemary, I am just back from hols (with very limited computer access) today, and am delighted to see so many of us going in the same direction!! Except for Canuck Greg!!!
What a great idea!! Check out my page for our Xmas pic which shows me now, imagine me with 10 extra kilos, and that is this time last year!! Imagine me with 10 kilos less, and that is me this time next year!! Keep up the good work all! I have been substituting G & T for wines and this seems to help, but guess I will have to try water now!!

Moved my comment to Health & Fitness page, but it was along the lines of I'm going backward, couple of kilos have snuck back on in the Christmas period, and that was while ''behaving'' - I can only console myself with ''it could have been worse'' - and not my preferred block of Lindt chocolate!

Rosemary~ Jan 10/11th, 2007

Good to hear from you! I'm glad to see your Cheers with all that WATER!
I'm still weak and tired with the recovery of my bronchitis and sinusitis~ I still have the remainders of a cough and the mucas
I have been out every now and then, and I'm anxious and excited to get on the Bandwagon! My body aches for more activity, so after I get a bit more energy, it'll be GO TIME for me!
Thanks for checkin' in, I'll see you around~ I'm about to check out the Health and Fitness Page!

Rosemary, I'm happy to help out. I have had my fair share of health experiences and want to pass on what I have learnt. But I must be careful not to annoy those who are really trying their hardest to improve. It is such a complex and personal subject that it is easy to offend without realising it.
Cheers, Ian

Rosemary...I'm shocked that you weren't aware that hunk ogling burns lots of calories. It works by reving the heart, which in turn increases the metabolism so that you are prepared for the chase...lol! Thanks for the good wishes for Sully. He is feeling better.

I only did 8500 steps today that is 5000 less than yesterday and it seems the rain is back for at least 5 days.
I have started doing the twist in the bathroom before I body brush and shower. Now there is a sight to spur on my weight loss and body toning. I wish I'd thought to cover the mirror!!!
Happy Hunk Oggling

rosemary, thank you for your encouragement. I was quite reluctant to throw around unsolicited advice on what is a fairly sensitive subject. But I have learnt a few things the hard way and I am willing to pass them on to anyone listening in the hope that they may help.

Hi Rose just dropped in to see how you're doing...looks like you're doing fine!

Andrew and I both ate and drank so much over these holidays we're now rolling along now like two massive balls...so it's time to get back to our 'waist loss' campaign!

But it was worth it!!

Thinking of you at your weigh in. Mine is tomorrow morning.
Don't know which is worse for walking 30°C or pouring rain with mud under foot.
I raise my glass of water to you, cheers.

9701 steps today. Checking in early my left foot is killing me. As my trainer shoes were looking the worse for wear I got out my old leather hiking boots from the back of the closet - now I remember why I put them there. Going to soak my poor feet then shower, slip into something comfortable (and warm) and relax and watch a DVD, and have a drink, water of course.
Back later.

Hey Rose. How are you? You are inspiring the lot with your focus on health and fitness. Good onya!
Also, thanks for your visit. True, there's nobody on the scene today like Dr. King. Such leadership takes sacrifice that few are willing to make. I love a rebel with a cause because it takes guts. MLK stood for justice and really affected change.

Rosemary, I don't know how you do it. You should really earn a gold star. you are working, additional work what with the painting of rooms and all, exercising, taking care of family and keeping tabs on your sudoku family, all in extreme, dry temperture. The weight really will be gone in quick order. You continue to do well. I salute you...with water

Been very busy here at motel the last few days having with rooms being painted. have to pull the rooms down and then they need a full clean afterwards to get them back in service. 3 out of 9 done so far 3 more next week.
the rooms are looking great though, so worth all the work. we are having wallboard painted out and a change of room colour so a really nice fresh feel when they are finished.
I also gave blood on wednesday and have felt a bit dizzy for a couple of days so decided just a quiet walk each night till I am sure I have recovered.
Very hot here still and after a small amount of rain very humid. I am not complaining however because any rain is fantastic at the moment.
cheers
water of course

Rose make sure you look after yourself x
Lets keep that rain falling for you, I looked at those fire plans on the web that Col gave me, dreadful!
Our storm has thankfully gone now and is a rare occurrence, we just have some roof tile damage which is no great deal..
Cheers water and rest in equal amounts x
