Hi GrannieMo, I am starting to visit everyone on their pages now that the competition is over. That is a lovely photo and I am very envious of you living in France. My husband is French & although we visit his family fairly often I do dream of living there for awhile one day. Maybe we can have a game of golf next time we are over there, and have that match we were talking about!

Hey Mo - I have put a piccie up on my page...pink crocs and purple ski socks (it was cold). Apart from 32 ends of lawn bowls..I played 9 holes of golf in them too - very comfy they were too...

GrannieMo, I will try to contact you via Rosemary. Francois' family live in a town called Montbeliard which is in the region of Franche Comte, north east France. I assume that is probably a LONG way from you. One of his sisters does live in Lyon. When we go to France we do like to visit different areas for a small part of the time. Next time it will be somewhere on the west coast, but not sure yet whether Normandy or Brittany.

Lovely photo of you! Thoroughly enjoyed the YouTube. Saw your comment to Imms. Do you know the West Country? I was born in Lancashire, brought up in Essex but spent the last 17 years before I moved to France in Radstock, just South of Bath. Where were you from?

Hi again
I am originally a London girl, but have lived the last 9 years in Yeovil. The view from my window has improved considerably! Well, in my opinion... I know the country life isn't for everybody (my sister for one).

Hi GrannieMo! Lovely picture of you, you look great! I've been trying to get around to visit everyone since the competition. I miss all of the regular chats. I thought for sure that you would win it in the end! Thank you for your congratulatory message. That was very nice of you. I loved the Antartica video! Hope to catch you on the SA page!

Me-three! The platters were my favorite group of all time though.....The Great Pretender was 'MY SONG' and a close second was 'Smoke Gets in Your Eyes! What a great era for music of all genres, the 50's-70's. Aren't we lucky that technology has enabled us to not only hear the music, but to see much of it as it had been preformed?

Listening to this takes me back when I was lucky enough to be in the audience looking on and joining in on many of the tunes...quietly though so I wouldn't spoil it for others who may have heard my flawed singing...I simply resorted to lip-singing...I was ahead of those 'so called entertainers' like Millie Vanilie et al...lol.

Great post on your You Tube Mo. I still have an old Platters LP record. Interesting to see them introduced as ''Rock and Roll'' singers.

Hi
I will be doing my best to make it to the GBB on the 15th, so I will hopefully see you there! We're just in the middle of buying a car and I need to be in London the weekend before as well, so I have to see if the finances can stretch that far so far after pay day!!!!
Got a scorcher of a day here today, hows it with you?

GMo - I am sorry you are missing your grandchildren & feeling low. I miss mine after only a month or so so I can only imagine how hard it would be to go 18 months between visits. Do you have the free Skype long distance on your computer so you could talk to them? Or would they maybe like to exchange e-mails with you? My granddaughter who just turned 7 now has her own e-mail address, & I try to send her pictures & notes now & then to keep in touch. I noticed in your newest photo of you that you are wearing your pedometer!! Good for you. Do you ever walk the course when you play golf? I wonder how many steps a round of 18 would be??

GMo that is so great that you WALK when you play golf. If more Americans did the same as you, maybe we would not have so many overweight people in our country. So.......how many steps in a round of 18?? And I would think you get extra credit for pulling a cart along with you!! How often do you get to play? Are you in a league of any kind or do you just play for fun?

Hi there! You were kind enough to visit my brand new page a little while ago...and I was not bright enough to figure out how to answer your question . You asked about the Glass House Mountains. The township of Glass House Mountains is in Queensland Australia...just north of Brisbane and in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. The whole area is also named after the unusual mountain features. If you are interested there is now a picture on my page. Have a great day and for the welcome

GM: Many thanks on the Satchel Paige quote. I watched (on TV) that game he pitched in Boston in 1965, where the major debate was about Satchel's true age, which, I guess, is now recognized as 59 at that time. Did you request that (Paige) page?

Mo, I have lots of family pictures like this one....they all seem to look the same in those pictures. Makes me wonder if my great grands will be saying the same thing about our pictures. Lol..Love your new smilies, letters and avatars....what site do you use? Hope to catch up with you one of these days. This picture reminds me that I have a family reunion group shot taken with W.C.Handy, who wrote...The St Louis Blues. He was a friend and neighbor of the family members where the reunion was being held and joined us. I didn't want to go but my MOM didn't ask me..she told me I was going. When I got a chance to meet Mr. Handy I was so happy about attending. I knew about him because we had studied about the history of many songs and song writers in school. I was also lucky enough to get a chance to visit his home and see the original sheet music, and many other artifacts, and was old enough to appreciate the opportunity! Memories!!!!

granniemo, i love the avatar comment! but what does my little smoking dragon say about me????? i know i am getting old, but don't those fools out there realise that while the body may be looking old, inside there is the rebel who got sidetracked doing all the responsible and caring things that motherhood and work bring? i love what your avatar(s) say about you.
