Since no one seems to be aound, I'll just mosey around the pages and later perhaps I'll try to pry my keys off and clean them since I see many don't show up. I only catch them after I've sent the page, and try reading the comments...oh well!!!

Spending way too much time here today. Especially after I vowed to come here between 7am to 7:30 and again at bed time only! This is always the way it is when we go from crazy busy to nothing. We just feel like doing nothing!

I kept loosing posts, Could not get on here, dats. then we got rain and I got so excited I went outside on back porch and watched it hehehe that is what happens when it has been so long since a really good rain. About an hour, and boy did my grass green up in thanks!

Looks like I just missed Lynda, sorry friend. I am making dinner, late tonight. And we are having stewed okra and tomatoes, a southern dish.

ROLA, My daughter told me she has made the pear carrot curry salad, and she liked it. So now you can give that a try with a bit more confidence. It seems daughter and i were watching the same cooking show on TV the day that was on, and i have forgotten who's show it was.

Anya, even my weeds were dying, till today. I imagine they shall spring back to life after today's rain. I noticed even the trees are looking better since the rain.

MizT. that centipede will choke most all weeds out when it is established.

Boy, this is a balky way to communicate!

ladies. I see we've had some new names pop in to sign the pledge book! I haven't met Anya before so was sorry to miss her. And I also just missed Dino, who hails from my neck of the woods. Stella's been popping in to members pages to let them know where we are. It'll be interesting to see who accepts the invitation.

Hi girls. We need more people to start dropping in here as it is starting to get pretty quiet. And it is such a shame when people come by (especially new people) & there is no-one about. I was reading through the chat since yesterday & it seems that someone was always coming on just as someone else had left, so everyone was missing everyone else.

It is raining again here today. We had over 40mm yesterday (best rain in years). There are floods nearby; water in Lake George (which is usually just a huge dry field; & all the roads around Cooma, including the one from here to there, are closed due to snow & ice

You're right Jenni. It's become the veritable revolving door. I always seem to see the back of someone as they're leaving the room! Will hover for a few more minutes in case you come back, otherwise there's the never-ending story of housework to get back to. Yay!

It started raining here last night, well actually early this morning, as I was going to bed! The wind is horrendous. We live in an area of very tall eucas so there is a lot of debris over the roads. Waiting for the power to go out. It seems to go hand in hand with the wind.

It is very scary when there are high winds, when there are euca's about, & I can imagine the debris. We are expecting high winds today but they haven't started yet. We had a max temp of 6C yesterday, BRRR

The fire went out the night before last so it was very cold getting up yesterday!

Last time the winds were this fierce, one of our 100ft trees lost its footing and tilted at an alarming angle towards the house. THAT was nerve-racking. Luckily it was donhill at the bottom of the garden but had to be brought down because it could have caused a domino effect with the closer trees or gone to other way and brought down the power lines!!!

We had chicken breast with marinara sauce, long brown rice, and cottage cheese. I don't know if you have cottage cheese in Oz.

Just got back from the baseball party. The kids went to the drive-in without me.

Yeah we have cottage cheese. Not a lover of it myself.
