Ahhhhhhhh, soothing water sounds. I think you should put a day bed in the sun room because soon you are not going to want to leave that room.

Did not look at the numbers, but the sentiment in that comment is just fine for a TOPP.

Teresa, send some of that cool south, please. So hot again today. I kept the big AC on all night, trying to give house a cool start to the day. Good thing I did, as I slept in till 10 am today. I was up at 6:30 back hurting, took Tylenol, rubbed on capsasen, and went back to sleep till 10. When I get up, Al is covered in his blankie so I know he would not have turned on the AC if I had not left it on.

I do not like our forecast, 99, 99, 100, 100 next four days. That is 37.7 C and that is much too hot for early June, no matter which scale you use. Theresa, did I say PLEASE? How nice it would be to need a sweater outside!!

Heidi, after that, you deserve a treat, The fountain sounds nice. Just the sound of water is not only soothing but cooling.

Hummm, I have a small little trickle down fountain thingy, might need to bring it inside and plug it up! Hubby does not like it, said it makes him need to go, well, you know.

Phones installed, no more buzzz. After a shaky start, internet is working. things are looking up here

My sister just finished work on her husband's family tree. Printed out, and taped together, it is 6 feet tall and 12 feet wide! one branch goes back to the 1500's, another goes back to 1600's. She had the work of a distant relative that went back so far to build on. Not sure what program she used, but she got photos of as many in the 20th century as possible. Facebook had photos for a lot of the younger generation . It is rolled up now, and will make the trip with them to family reunion on Saturday. BIL's family still meets twice a year, as they did when his parents were alive, Christmas Day and first Saturday in June. since BIL was one of the younger of 12 siblings, There are a LOT just in his family, what with children, grandchildren and great grands of his siblings.

The collies have discovered the fountain, and think it's the world's greatest water bowl. It holds about 4 gallons so there's plenty for them.

My ear is hurting like mad now. The anesthesia has worn off. I just have to keep in mind that it won't hurt tomorrow.

Saturday Robert is going with me on a trail ride. My horse trainer is having a big ride and drive for her birthday, and Robert asked if he could come along. He likes to ride, but can't handle a really spirited horse, so I'm putting him up on Miss Kitty. She's a big, calm 23 year old Paint mare. I'm gonna ride Red Hawk, my Appaloosa/Arabian gelding.

MizT, I'll see what I can do about sending you some cooler weather. Friday and Saturday we have a high of 21, so more good stuff coming my way.

Heidi, the trail ride sounds like fun!

Just stopping in for a minute. Showered and dressed and just wasting a few minutes. It should be an interesting evening. Don't know if Mitchell is getting any awards, but it should be nice. I can't believe he is going to high school in August. No more baby. Before I know it, he will be going to university.

Morning all,
Heidi, the ride sounds like a lot of fun! I hope your ear is feeling better by then.

Theresa, perfect weather, which is what we are having too. Cold at night so we can sleep and beautiful during the day - at least now that the rain has stopped.

MizT, you are going to be so tired dealing with all of that heat! Hope it goes quickly... The family tree will be a real treat at the reunion.

Nomnom used to rub himself against my legs when I got out of the shower and then climb into the shower stall to lick at the water. Got to try to drag Alie out of the house. She still isn't ready!

Suzy, if not tired from the heat, at least gone batty! I was just outside in the shade, had to water my flowers on the back porch. this wind and heat, Oh My they do get thirsty. At least at the moment the humidity is not so high.

My petunias are not going so great. Getting long and leggy, cannot get them to bunch up. I have been pinching them back, and bringing the blooms indoors, enjoying the bouquets. I will hit them with another shot of miracle grow plant food and see if that will encourage them. I could not find the " wave" petunias this year. they are so worth the money.

My African violets are all 4 blooming at same time. they have not been very good bloomers. I asked my BIL who gave them to me if he fertalized his, and he said no, but I did, and they said thank you with blooms! Can you tell, I like flowers?

I hear thunder! Hope there is some rain attached and it visits us. closing down for now. Hugs to each of you!

Robert was in such a good mood when I saw him an hour and a half ago. His daughter is graduating High School tomorrow night and he was so excited to be going. Then he was looking forward to the trail ride on Saturday morning. And he had a hot date on Saturday night. He's gonna miss them all.

I just got a call from Robert's daughter. He's gonna be all right. He's lucid, tho' in pain. They're still doing tests so I don't know the extent of his injuries, but the Docs say he'll be OK.
I'm so glad I was wrong.

Just looked in to see if news of Robert. Pleased it is good news. Have been thinking of him and Heidi all day.
It has been a couple of hard days. Driven 'friend' to get some things done. I did not sleep much last night and today every time I said or did not say something she was snappy. The tension is telling on us all. Oedema has started and there is some fluid around the lung.
We have the Bowls BBQ tonight. It will be good to be out amoung friends but I am tired and teary so I hope I improve before the night is over. (maybe a good stiff drink!)

Light hearted anecdote: Dimitri has a bad habit of trying to get our food off our plates. He climbs up our legs (which is as painful as it sounds!) and if he manages to sneak past us by climbing up the chair instead, he will literally stick his face in our food. Today we rediscovered our water spray bottle and have been working on training him out of it. He ended up curled up in the middle of the floor looking all sad. Hubby took pity on him and picked him up and put him onto my lap. He is now curled up against my shoulder.

Earlier today I gave him a piece of the roll I was having for lunch - he growled the whole time he was eating it! What did he think, I was going to give it to him and then take it back?

Sorry I've been MIA for a few days. I got roped into scoring at a dog agility show, the club my daughter belongs to were running it. I had just gone to watch!! Three days sitting scoring had my head spinning but I enjoyed it.
Nola I missed your birthday but wish you belatedly.
Heidi, thank goodness your instincts were wrong this time and Robert is going to be ok.
June, what can we say. Thoughts and love are heading your way all the time for everyone. You kn ow that it isn't your 'friend' snapping at you.
Forgotten everything I wanted to say, I've got to get on with some swearing, nothing has been done in the house while I was away... apart from the gnihsaw, it's waiting for me to iron it

June, hugs to you and your friend, and how I wish I could do more. It is hard to quietly accept the ill temper and snapish words of someone close to you. Just know that person takes their anger out on you cause they feel safe doing so, they can let loose the anger and not expect reprisals. It is really an honor, the trust that shows, but it is so hard to see at the time.

gee, I cannot remember the name I gave to AL when he got all snapish during chemo, Something about the cancer chemo and radiation monster. I remember, the CCR monster! When he got better but still ornery, it was CCR Man. Seeing my visual of that when he got snapish reminded me it was not him, but what he was going through. Hope something like that can be of help to you.
