My boys, all 3 of them, came up with an interesting game and I get to help. They want to go on a search and rescue mission with their G. I. Joe's. I will keep the 3 boys downstairs and hide upstairs a few of them, making them prisoners. I will also set up guards. The boys then have to go upstairs and "rescue" the G. I. Joe's. I am going to try to hide them well and keep them busy for a few hours.

Coffee is ready. Help yourself to a cup. I guess everyone has something better to do today, or they are sleeping.

Good Morning friends. I am late getting to the computer today. Had a long 0hone call with a good friend, a nice way to start the day.

Oh I am now so spoiled, the temp stayed in the 70's after the t storms yesterday, I could do with some more cool weather.

Nothing much going on here, Al was up very early, while i slept, now he is napping and I get to watch him sleep. just not on the same schedule today, but that is OK too Makes for a qukte day.

Hugs to each of you, with extras.

IH was mad at me. He asked if he could use my truck to go to church this morning, and I said NO. I told him to get a ride from one of the other churchgoers, or get a ride on the church bus. His truck won't be out of the shop until Thursday, and he'd like to save money by using my truck the whole time.

You need you truck Heidi, so I don't blame you for saying no especially with his track record.

Help... I know nothing about looking after cats.
I had the dogs out in the garden earlier and could hear a cat mieowing pitiously and constantly. It was in the lane just over the fence from our garden. Daughter went looking for it. I have seen this cat wandering around for a few days, it even walked passed our patio doors yesterday. It is very skinny and doesn't look as if it has been fed for a while. I gave it some tuna if devoured the whole tin and went looking for more. Being Sunday vets are closed so we cannot check with them if they have any reports of lost cats. We have been out and got some provisions for it but really have no idea how much to feed it.

Brenda, if the cat is really skinny, don't feed him too much at one time - just give him small amounts every couple of hours. Also, make sure it has a dish of water. If the cat is not drinking, it might be a good idea to give him canned food only so that it doesn't get dehydrated.

Panic is over. My D was searching on the internet, on sites for lost pets. Photo was there. He had been lost since 31st May, is epileptic. We have taken him home now, his picture was on the flat windows too. Strangely it is the flat next door to the one hubby and I own and rent out.

I seem to have no energy today. Grandies have friends over. I was going to go in the back yard, but it is occupied with kids aged 2, 6, 7, 8 who all seem to insist on screaming. At least they are having a good time.

I took the 2 Fischer's lovebirds to the Pet Shop to sell them. I bought them for that purpose. The pet store owner fell in love. I didn't come home empty handed, either. They had a problem rabbit that they had to keep separated from all the others.... a mature male that had a one track mind. I took him home with me. He's a pretty boy.

Have a really good Sunday night dinner planned. Chicken wings, baby back ribs, french fries and pasta salad. Cooked the wings and ribs in the oven and will finish them on the grill. Some of the wings will be tossed with buffalo sauce.

I was sitting on the front step a little earlier when I spotted a movement to my right. A chipmunk was sitting beside me! He startled me and I made a small sound. That startled him and he left - I don't think he knew I was there. We were only about six inches apart.

The clouds are starting to get darker. I think I will make myself a cup of tea and sit outside while I can. The kids are gone in - their visitors finally left about 15 minutes ago. Ah, peace and quiet at last.

It has rained all around us this afternoon, and we had about half a cup of rain. Temps went down again, down to the 70's mid afternoon, I like it! I sat on the back porch enjoying the breeze off the pop up t sotrms nearby. House stayed nice and cool today.

I cooked dinner, venison tenderloin with onions and gravy, cooked in the pressure cooker so it is nice and tender. Al came in for his late lunch, heck he is late for everything, was even late for his Mom's birthday, he was born the day after hehehe.

He ate a bowl of beef stew I had made other day. He said he was tired of feeding tube, maybe that will entice him to try more foods. Only problem is, his feeding tube formula is calory dense. He cannot get that many calories from same volume of 'real food'.

Yesterday he had bought me my dinner when we were in town, cause I just plain forgot to thaw anything to cook. I had "planned overs' for so many days, cooking was not on my list. I got a to go plate at the oriental buffet, and he was busy adding things he thought he might eat. Yesterday he had rice and fried shrimp for dinner. He wants to go out to eat a couple times this week, and see just what he can find he can eat. Said he might waste a few $$ but not really. If he cannot eat it, it can come home in a to go plate for me later. If we order different items, he would have a wide range to choose from. Eating out suits me just fine hehehe.

I went all day today with no pain meds, and that was a big mistake. When I got up from a short nap, I hurt everywhere except my hair. Meds now taking effect again, I hate taking pain pills but just cannot do without at the moment. Doc appointment is for Wednesday, and I did not write down the time. I shall phone them tomorrow to find out.

I have rambled on enough for now, more later. Hugs to each of you, with extras.

Theresa, so funny that you and the chop monk startled each other hehehe.

Heidi, what shall you do with the rabbit?

Tami, could I have my wings without the sauce please? Tami, how did the game go this morning with the search and rescue??

Brenda, so glad you found the kitty's home and returned him. He is lucky you cred enough to hunt, not everyone would have you know.

The search and rescue mission was delayed for a few days do to our visitor. When his mom called to see if the boys could get together, I did not want to refuse. His grandfather had a stroke last week and is still in the hospital. I thought the boy could use a break. Search and rescue will happen later this week. I am glad the boys are using their imaginations, and not relying on video games.

I already have several female rabbits that run loose around the farm. They WERE in a large pen, but tunneled out. Once this guy is acclimated to his new home, he'll be turned loose with them.

Your game reminds me that there is a search and rescue going on here in Magnolia right now. A young autistic boy wandered off 2 days ago and has not been found yet. Since the area is pretty wild with lots of woods, knobs, hollers and sinkholes, he could disappear for a long time.

Morning all,
Brenda, so glad you found where the little guy came from.. He is so cute! His or her owners are probably over the moon.

Heidi, that is so sad. Depending on his level of autism he may even hide from people looking for him.

Don't the rabbits eat up your feed crops?? You'll have hundreds of them soon after you let the new guy loose.

Judy, do I look green because I am? I saw a Tutankhamen exhibition many many years ago and loved it, would see it again and again.

Tami, I will join you for ribs and wings anytime! Yummo! I know what you mean about being glad the boys are using their imaginations. The best part of Alie's new guitar is that she is not on msn as much.

Kitten story: I was sitting here and decided to get up to make myself a cup of coffee. My feet were all tangled in yarn. When I finally worked my way out of it I looked down and there was kitty with an innocent look on her face - she had wrapped eyelash yarn around 3 legs of my chair and my feet!

It's 11.30am here and people are finally starting to stir. My peace is over!

I have a 3 photo series of her getting progressively closer to Baby, but I'm not allowed to post them as Alie is in them without beautiful hair and makeup! I'm honoring her request because I'm a good mummy.
