HI Everyone...Hope the extreme weather and all of the aches and pains that have been around have gone away and we are once again able to chase the blahs away.
Suzy, I'm so glad you and hubby were able to splurge and make Allie's day and the others that follow so meaningful. It doesn't matter what come's on all of the other special days...this one will be carved in her mind forever...Great and loving memories for all! Enjoy the music!!!♥♥♥
Great news hearing that Friend was able to get home and the family had such a wonderful, bonding dinner, and a neat circus day as well...plenty of good memories there too.
Seems sunshine has been particularly bright for Gail and Brenda also...enjoy the cars ladies.
Now Heidi, glad that the bull has been taken by the horns in more than one way...happy that you were able to get the property next door at your price, and the bull has been taken to the market..
Healing wishes if possible for Robert's father...and acceptance of whatever the outcome may be with the knowledge that he isn't alone.
Glad to be blessed with all of you and to have the opportunity to share bits of life's ups and downs always, but it really is nice that so many of us are having great times right now...it gives us confidence that when challenges come, as they must, we will have these days to ease the way.
May we all walk with the knowledge that we are special and loved by others....and we are all worth that love! Peace and God's blessings.

I'm in for a few rehydrating. Then I need to saddle up Red Hawk to move the cow herd. It's a scorcher today, but thunderstorms are supposed to move in a little later and cool it off a little.

Robert called. His father is doing a little better. The doctors are talking about letting him leave in a few more days. Robert says that he'll be staying at his father's side the whole time he's there.

Tami, me, a treat? Why, thank ya, sweetie, a nice thing to hear.

We have had another 5 drops of rain. Seriously, that is how many hit me when I went out to play in the rain, uh, I mean go look in the van for the missing bananas. Yep, bananas were there, seems they were overlooked when we brought in groceries yesterday.

I KNEW I put some bananas in the buggy, cause I thought of SUZY and the $13 a kilo. I told hubby I would not complain that our bananas went up to 69 cents a pound (half kilo or thereabouts)

I must run back to town, I forgot to get Al's prescription filled. this is his sleep medicine, but oh it does so much more. It chases away the grumpy bear! A very mild anti-anxiety/antidepressant and he responds very well to it, it is a blessing to have. That and an occasional pill for neausea are the only prescriptions he is on at the moment, YEAH,

OOOPS, BRB, it is RAINING and I am going outside to get wet!!! .

IH says his truck won't start, and called the mechanic to make a house call. I told him to go outside and put the gear shift knob in park. It probably wasn't put all the way into park. He's done that before. We'll see if I am right.

Heidi, I remember you telling about this before, and you were right then! Hope that is the cause and his truck will start again.

NICE t storm here, I sat on the back porch and enjoyed every minute of it! Got a bit wet, watched the wind toss the trees around, looked like trees were doing their happy dance, happy to have rain! Temp dropped about 20 degrees F, I thought about getting my rain jacket. Wind blew a big mist across the deck, it ws lovely. How we do not appreciate things till we are without a while, and today I really appreciated and enjoyed the rain! Now lets see if my front grass will green up again. Friend Eddie who mows our lawn cut front lower than it likes to be cut, it is not same kind of grass as rest of the yard. I have in the past seen that grass green up while it was still raining hehehe.

OK, must comb my hair and wash my face, we must go to pharmacy to get the prescription.

Hugs to each of you, you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Heidi, why do you keep rescuing IH. Let him have the mechanic make a house call and he has to pay for wasting the guy's time. It might teach him a lesson, but then again, probably not.

It is another miserably cold and rainy day here. Greg and I spent the day watching TV yesterday after grocery shopping.
I was hoping it would have stopped before I had to go back for prac, but doesn't look like it will.
Monday is a public holiday but I had a day off with a cold and now I have to make up the hours missed.

Big grocery haul day for us - snuck it in before hubby got called to work. We get to eat again. I always like seeing the cupboards and fridge nicely stocked. There was a sale on pork chops so I picked up extras. Boy do I lead an exciting life or what???

It has gotten dark and coolish out - looks like it's going to rain. MizT, it's so nice to be outside in a light rain when the weather has been so humid. There's a risk of a T-storm early evening, and of course I am home alone again. Sigh ....

Good news about Robert's dad.

My arm and shoulder are aching fiercely. I had a nap earlier and I think I must have rolled over onto that side. All the scrubbing I did yesterday, including some on my hands and knees, probably didn't help.

Julie, when is the wedding day? I'm sorry, I've forgotten.

Theresa, I have a spare freezer in my garage and also try to take advantage of sales. When something is on sale, I buy in bulk, and then separate into meal size bags. In the morning I just pull out a bag and defrost.

We have picked out the car we want but haven't secured it yet. The owner, who is selling it privately, is out of the country at the moment. Are you managing to get the required elements signed off, for your course.

Brenda...I have got about half signed off. Some of them will be harder like neurovascular obs, catheter removal and monitoring blood products. They are trying to get me into surgery for 1 day which will help with pre and post op observations. The hospital is sub-acute so many things wont be done there. I hope to have a chance at talking my way through what I can't get done in prac, but it isn't the same as actually doing it.

The problem with his truck was the fuel pump. He did have it in "park". THIS time.

I have a freezer in the garage, too. It has to be in the garage because it's too big to fit through any of our doors. It has a huge capacity.... I've put 3 steers in it! Cut up, of course.

Morning all, sorry I'm late. No brain function this morning so I waited to post until I could think. Doesn't look like that's going to happen so here I am...

Tami, don't spend too much at the mall!

Heidi, hope you get your cooling storms, though hear it is usually humid after them. Good to hear that Robert's father may get to come home soon. Robert is a dedicated son!

MizT, 69 cents a pound! I am sooo jealous! I'm glad you got really wet this time! And I hope your grass greens up nicely. I love your happy dancing trees

Gail, I am still waiting to see a pic of the car!

Nola, sorry that you have to make up time and lose a day off! Enjoy the gap in the rain.

Theresa, sorry about your neck and arm. I remember when mine was at its worst I would cry myself to sleep some nights. Good news about your full cupboards and fridge though! Maybe if you think of the trees doing a happy dance like MizT, this storm won't feel as bad...

Dana has stayed here 2 nights now. When she asked if she could stay the night we assumed it would be for one night. Not sure what is going on now, as creepazoid messaged Alie asking if Dana was living with us?????

I will have to ask her about her plans today - when she wakes up.

We only got a small amount of rain, just enough that I didn't have to water the plants. And no storm so far, but hubby is home now.

Suzy, would you be okay with Dana living there as long as she follows the rules? Of course following the rules is hard to do once you have had a taste of freedom. Take care of yourself, young lady - we don't want you to get stressed out about it. I know, I know, easier said than done. {{{HUGS}}}

Had the talk, asked her why the person she was supposed to be staying with is asking if she's living here. All sort of explained. We let her know that living here isn't a problem but we would be telling centrelink for all the obvious reasons.

Heidi, she is still living there and can't work out why he asked Alie if she was living here. (Some sort of deception going on there, but not going to ask as I will only get more in return). Apparently she leaves when his girlfriend comes down because she yells at Dana at lot - wonder why?

For a while there everytime we saw Dana, creepazoid was in the background somewhere.

The kids all had a great time at Belinda's 'farm'.
Friend even managed to come up with us, although she just sat in a chair near the fire all day. We have now got all the littlies to sleep. Hope they do not wake too early in the morning.
