Managed to get down town, but as my luck goes I was too late for the offer. Never mind saved my money so I can spend it on holiday.

We had a little pop up thunder shower. I had to close down com0uter, and come in from the back porch when lightning got near. I do enjoy sitting out and enjoying the cool mist of a summer rain. It is still cloudy so temps have not shot up after the rain, a nice break from the hot.

Gooday Friends. I had meant to get back here yesterday but...
I had to pick Judy up from hospital as she collapsed in a shopping centre and spent 2 days there under observation. She had been doing too much on top of having 2 lots of chemo. She is now a lot better and promises to take things a bit easier.
Renae and the family are having a short break visiting inlaws and going to Australia Zoo. The girls will just love that.
Greg might have a bit of work with a previous employer which will really help the budget.(Rates due soon)
Still haven't been registered as an EEN grrrrr
Suzy...glad you are getting some work.I take my hat off to teachers dealing with feral kids.
Hope you all have a great week-end.

So much for good intentions. I posted that I was going for a drive this morning, got a little light headed, so laid down, fell asleep and didn't wake up until 4:00 PM.

Heidi...Good that you got that rest...it had to be needed, and you could have had real problems away from the house....the body will do what is needed if only we heed it!..Take care, and I do hope that the pain is lessened to allow you not too much suffering until you get the epidural.

WoW Nola! Please tell Judy we say be careful...had to be quite a scare for all. I'm happy she is on the mend ...Hope Greg is able to get that bit of work...budgets can always be helped by a little extra unexpected income.
I agree with the no nag and lots of support too Theresa...You can count on us!!!
Off to play some more games...Have a great day/night all..,Hugs available for all takers...Peace.

I'm not agreeing to anything. I'm not anti-smoking by any means, but I do want to be able to tease Theresa a little.

Heidi, so you're fine with sabotaging her attempts?! I thought better of you.

Nola, I hope Judy does take it easier. It's hard when there is so much to do. I used to dread our rates bill coming in. We now have it taken out automatically each week and don't even miss it. When Mum got her house she set up the same thing. Although she only paid $40,000 for her house, her rates are higher than ours! I'm thinking of trying to do the same thing with electricity bills since they seem to be getting bigger and bigger.

MizT, I probably would have stayed on the back porch. I love watching storms!

I'm not here. Got to gnah a couple of loads done overnight out and then start lesson plans.

Now, now Heidi, you're not supposed to be the trouble-maker in this group.

I have an "0" birthday in September and I want to be a non-smoker by then. But I plan on still being "smoking" hot! Okay, I'm not smoking hot, but I can dream, can't I? Besides, George Clooney wants me, I can just tell.

Before I go, Dana came over for dinner last night, with the last of the money she owed Alie!! We'll never see the money she owes us (from the defaulted phone that we are still paying for), but I'm glad she finally paid her sister back. It was a pleasant evening though she is really ill. She seems to be sick all of the time now! Luckily she is seeing the doctor - I spoke to my doctor about her and he had told me that if she came in he would bulk bill so she would keep coming back. I hope the other doctors in the practice are doing the same.

Nola, hope your sister takes the advice of taking things a bit easier. Hugs.

Suzy, hope Dana's trip to the doctor sorts out her ills. We worry about our kids even after they've moved out. No one can take care of them as well as we can.

Tomorrow is my daughter's 35th birthday. When did I get old enough to have a daughter that age? Of course I had her when I was just a baby myself!

Theresa, you must have been a child bride. Does that mean you are the same age as Suzanne? She is going to be 50 this year.

It's not a good idea to have children before you're 10 Theresa! Happy Birthday to your D!!

Suzy, you did the math wrong. If her daughter is 35 and she is going to be 50, then she gave birth at 15

Suzy, some of us learn how to act in public but I shall not say which ones hehehe.

I cannot wrap my mind around my age, since my birthday in June. I still think I am 67, but golly gee, I am now 68. I never believed I would live this long, my father died at a young age and I thought I would also. Like Heidi, I do wish I had taken better care of my body, it is betraying me now.

Heidi, sorry you missed your buggy ride today. Your nap was longer than mine and I thought I did a good job of napping today

SUZY, I was interested in your story of a 5 year old mother, so I asked Mr Google. He gave me the article. she was in Peru and it happened in 1939. She is still listed being the worlds youngest known mother.

http://youngest_mother.tripod.com/

Suzy, I do hope Dana will continue to get medical treatment, and resolve her health issues. It is a hard life she has chosen for herself, and deteriorating health is part of the lifestyle. I know you worry, any mother would.

Happy Birthday to Theresa's Daughter

Bed time for me, eyes are getting heavy. Catch you in the morning. Leaving hugs for each of you, with extras.

Great news Rolanda! I'm sure everyone who went through fell in love with your house. Now they just have to work out if it falls within their budgets!!

Hubby came up to me a little while ago and said 'I just got the message that we've run out of allowance again'. I said 'but we haven't been doing anything'.. he says 'I was just google mapping something and the message popped up' - well that will do it!! Twit!! What part of 'don't do anything that uses a lot of data until tomorrow' didn't he understand??? It resets in the morning... I have work to do which sometimes means I need to google information for the younguns... so another block with only one night to go.

Groan... I've got year 8 organised up to the end of the week and even the first period of the week after.

Looking at year 10 now. No way are these kids going to cover all of the work, or understand even what we do cover!! Don't even know where to start. Am seriously thinking of just giving them a whole lot of notes..

Busy girl, Suzy!
Happy Birthday to Theresa's daughter.
Suzy - I'll be 46 in January - oh no, wait a minute, reverse that, I'll be 64. I'm teaching my grandchildren to sing 'When I'm 64'!! By the way, I'd rather act my shoe size, than my age.
Big hugs to June if she's reading this.

My daughter, 39 next month, stayed 27 for many more years than she should have until her kids learned maths and worked out that taking 1972 from 2008 does not equal 27. Hehehe!
When I was 40, people thought I was much younger. When I was 50, people thought I was much younger. By the time I turned 60, I wasn't fooling anyone!!!

I tell my students every year that I am 29. One year they asked how long I have been teaching. I did not want to say that it was my 2nd year, so I told them 15 years. They couldn't figure it out. I told them that I was a child prodigy and graduated High School at 11 and college at 14. They did the math and figured out that it work.
