Woo Hoo! I'm a supporting member again.

Broni, Thank you and Poss too for the great BBQ on Saturday. It was lovely to catch up with everyone.

Cyn, I'm continuing to send my loving thoughts to you and your family. I hope your Mum's passing is peaceful.

Theresa, I bet a month ago that you would never have thought you would be saying that it was 7 DAYS since your last cigarette. Well Done!! Keep up the good work. You are a strong lady and you can do this.

June, I hope you get time for your grieving. You need to let other things go and take time for yourself.

Rolanda, how's the house selling going? Any real interest yet?

Hello, everyone. I seemed to have a big weekend. I know I wasn't home for very much of it. Hubby's sister is arriving today and there was some cleaning involved on the weekend. I had a phone call from #1 yesterday while I was in a meeting. He and the girl had cleaned and mopped both upstairs and downstairs, washed the dog, washed his bed clothes, washed the towels. I was a very happy mother - Hubby's response was along the lines of "about time and so they should". He is right but I was still happy about their efforts as we had less to do.

Tami - you do realise that if you do come to Australia you will be expected to visit - Brisbane (Broni, Vicki and I), Sydney (June), Melbourne (Gail, Judy, Kay, Beanie, Liz) and Perth (Rolanda) - and then Suzy lives outside of Sydney, so you'll have to catch up with her as well. You'll be busy and we'd all love to meet the beastie boys.
Off soon to see what awaits me with Mum today.

Big wind just came through once again, really cooled down quickly. Wind was followed by a blowing rain, lots of rain, tiny bit of thunder. Hope the rain continues, wouold make nice sleepy sound rain on metal roof!

Time for bed here, Not sure why, I did not do much today, but I am tired. Catch you again tomorrow. Hugs to each of you, with extras as needed or wanted.

Rolanda, can you send me the link to your house. I'd love to see it (sticky beak etc). I have a nephew who moved to WA to sell property. He has sold one house so far (according to MIL). I'm not too sure how he'll go - I think he's too much of a surfer dude.

Hello, Everyone! I'm hoping to find a little more time for visiting here with my friends soon. This schedule which makes for very little contact here is driving me crazy. {{{{{H U G S }}}}}, positive thoughts and prayers for all of you and those you love! Gail, typical that it took Australia 60 years to recognise her achievements, while other countries had decorated her years before!

A quiet night. Took the family to the airport, visiting MIL on the way. Then drove Belinda's 4WD to her school to swap back to Ken's Getz. Then to afternoon tea put on by some Mother's of Laura's class. Home and visited friend who lost her husband yesterday. Our children went to school together and her daughter played netball with Sharon. Another funeral on Thursday. Then Ken found out a baseball colleague had passed away and his funeral is Thursday afternoon. (I will give that one a miss, although I am a bit friendly with his wife)

On Thursday afternoon we pick up MIL (now 97 ) who will be staying with us for 6 weeks. It would have been nice if we could have had a few days away by ourselves. Maybe later in the year?
I have put my name down to bowl tomorrow. The friend and her Hubby were both bowlers as well so it will be a bitter sweet day.
There was an extra paragraph added to the Eulogy to the copy I have and I am waiting for the revised copy to send to people who asked.

June, I hope getting out of the house and bowling gives you a bit of a break...

I think it is a good decision not to go to the funeral on Thursday. I'm sure they will understand.

Cyn, I hope you had a good day with no bad news..

Dana anecdote. I ran into her in town today and she was going around applying for jobs. That gave me an opening to ask one of the questions I did NOT ask when she was visiting on the weekend. Turns out the employment contractor that is supposed to be guiding her stuffed up her TAFE application by getting her to do it in person when it actually needed to be done online.

She told me she had a sore eye and would get something for it next 'payday'. A week from now. I took her to the chemist and got her eyedrops.

Thanks Suzy, no real news - went up there today but Mum had not long gone to sleep and could not be roused. Despite the Doc's predictions, she seems to have hit a plateau, neither better or worse. Tenacious - that's the word for the women in my family! At this stage not sure if that's good or bad.

Morning all. Coffee is ready, help yourself.

Cyn, I do realize I would have to travel over most of the country with a possible side trip to Tassie to meet eaa. I also have cousins in Sydney I have never met except by Skype. I hope this is a trip I can someday afford. I know a lot of "travel agents" who would be glad to help me figure out where to go.

Tricia, If I did win $227 million, I had thought of taking you, Heidi and whomever else I can fit in my suitcase

This trip may never happen but it is fun to dream.

Suzy, all of them :)

Tami, what about me? I promise not to smoke!!!

Did not sleep well on D's couch last night, think I will try a bed tonight. The poor dog spent the entire night by the door waiting for them to come home. What a loyal dog. She is half German shepherd and half black lab, so I am just as glad she didn't insist on sleeping on the couch with me.

June, I am asking also.

What a schedule you do have. I agree, a bit of time to go off on your own for a while would have been ideal. I hope that happens soon. Keeping busy is good, but there is a limit to your strength and endurance.

May I tell you what I did after my mom died and I was missing her so much? Every morning when I awakened, I talked to her, said " good morning Mom," and told her what I had planned for the day and interesting tidbits I thought she would enjoy. It sure did help me. Since I did this in private, no one thought I was batty. I hope you can find something as comforting to you as you adjust to life without Sharon.

Good morning friends. I have coffee on also if Tami's pot is empty.

I have a call in the Al's doctor. He has just been so tired and a bit weak. I talked to him about it yesterday and he admits that yes, he is feeling about like he did before his blood transfusion and iron infusion. I thought the doc needed to know. Nurse should return my call sometime today.

MizT, hope things get sorted out for Al sooner rather than later. Hugs to you both, if you don't mind another woman sending hugs to your hubby!!!

Another decent day so far for me - that's 2 in a row. About half an hour ago I had a strong craving while I was on the phone. I used to sit outside and have a cigarette while I was talking on the phone. So now I tend to cut conversations short.

Off to get some ffuts done, or not.

Theresa, I know what you mean about smoking and the telephone. When I smoked, I would grab my cigarettes from the drawer before I picked up the ringing phone! I did not want a cigarette exactly, it was just habit. those habits were hard to break. I hope the cutting the conversation short continues to work for you till you can break that habit. Sometimes substituting another action for the ciggie works, what could you do while on phone instead of smoke?

A joke for today, another one my hubby sent to me.

The light turned yellow, just in front of him. He did the right thing, stopping at the crosswalk, even though he could have beaten the red light by accelerating through the intersection. The
tailgating woman was furious and honked her horn, screaming in frustration, as she missed her chance to get through the intersection, dropping her cell phone and makeup.

As she was still in mid-rant, she heard a tap on her window and looked up into the face of a very serious police officer. The officer ordered her to exit her car with her hands up. He took her to the police station where she was searched, fingerprinted, photographed, and placed in a holding cell.

After a couple of hours, a policeman approached the cell and opened the door. She was escorted back to the booking desk where the arresting officer was waiting with her personal effects. He said,''I'm very sorry for this mistake. You see, I pulled up behind your car while you were blowing your horn, flipping off the guy in front
of you and cussing a blue streak at him. I noticed the 'What Would Jesus Do' bumper sticker, the 'Choose Life' license plate holder, the
'Follow Me to Sunday-School' bumper sticker, and the chrome-plated Christian fish emblem on the trunk, so naturally I assumed you had
stolen the car.''
