MizT.... If I had not told IH about Whimsey, he may not have noticed her for a looooooong time. I actually wasn't planning on saying anything since it was none of his business, but planning to go to the funeral kinda changed that.

Julie, thank you for bringing some happiness to this page. I especially am grateful for the positive post right now - and I'm sure others reading my angry posts are too! I have been looking forward to hearing how everything went and it sounds like it was an amazing day.

Just popping back in case I missed mentioning anyone by name. That's so risky when I have CRAFT's! I also want to encourage Theresa to just keep taking one day at a time. {{{{HUGS}}}} for everyone!

Suzy, you know we're all here for you. What a turn your life has taken in the past year! It's perfectly understandable that you might have an angry post or two! I can't imagine the frustration you must be feeling. {{{{HUGS}}}}

Rolanda - sorry about your aunt's decision but I think I can understand that there must come a time when, at that age, and if one's health is deteriorating, a person wants to give up on life. May she go peacefully.
Suzy - vent here all you want - anything that will ease the stress on yourself. We don't want your health going downhill.

Strangely Mum's health seems to have plateaued. They have taken her off all oral medication and she now has a patch (changed weekly). There are orders in place for Morphine which hasn't been used yet. She was alert with us this morning and because she can't talk, she often just touches our faces and smiles. Very reassuring that she knows and loves us.
So basically she could go on for days like this despite what the doctor said last Friday.

Julie - thanks for the update on the wedding and especially the 3 little ones. As you said, hope it was all caught on video. I'm sure after all that and all the visitors, you will be in need of a good rest.

Hello everyone.
Went out to dinner on Sunday to celebrate D1's birthday - had a lovely time, though son has a shocker of a cold, which we all hope he hasn't shared! :)
Suzy ... !! Feel free to vent, scream, yell ... but remember cuddles and baby kisses ... maybe some comfort? Like kittens, but you get to dress them up? Well, sending so many hugs ... hope they help. ♥

Suzie {{{BIG HUGS}}}. Will talk to you sometime.
Viv, I have had my back stretched and it did feel so much better a couple of days later. I have booked in for a massage on my back tomorrow. (not with a physiotherapist though!)

Bowled today, we lost in a close game and a most enjoyable day.
I have sent off the eulogys. There was sa bit more added but if I wait for that it may be forever till you got them. Belinda reminded us that we had not included the work they did at the Olympics. They were both working on computers transfering the baseball scores so they could be read around the world. They worked on the Gold medal game and Sharon actually carried out one of the silver podiums.

About to fill in our Census form. We were not home when she called and Neil said we would do it on line. I would have liked to have the form so that I could study the questions and the changes from other years. I actually worked for them for 25 years and was involved from 1971 census till about 15 years ago. Also involved with testing questions, reforming wording, accuracy of the census (asking a sample of people if they were counted once or more times? re-asking some of the questions etc.as well as working as a group leader of the collectors)

Morning all. Coffee is ready, help yourself. It sounds like quite a few people could use a cup.

Brenda, hope things are OK in your area.

Julie, thank you for posting the update. I think we all needed to hear something good. I would love to see the video of the flower girls. Maybe you should suggest "Funniest Home Videos"

Suzy, still keeping you in my thoughts. Come here anytime and send me an email if you need to.

Rolanda, sorry to hear about your aunt. I know it can't be easy to deal with.

Cyn, keeping you and your mum in my thoughts.

Yep, Bean.... Suzy's news is a real shocker. Idiot girl. Nowadays kids get s*x education in schools so she should know where babies come from. And nobody forced her to get drunk. She has no home, no job and the sperm donor won't be there. And she doesn't have a history of making good choices. Poor baby is the innocent victim.
I'm now wondering how long it will take before Dana blames THIS on Suzy? Our dear Suzy is always made out to be the bad guy, so how will Dana shift the blame?

Sorry I haven't been here. As it has been said I am on holiday in the Peak district, near Matlock.
We haven't seen anything of the rioting, apart from on TV.
Internet signal is a little sparse so not getting on line very much.

Shocked and saddened by news on here whilst I have been away. Pleased that the wedding went well for Julie's daughter.
Looking forward to seeing photos. I will have to wait until I get home to view any photos people have put on their sites. Also have to wait until I get home to pick up emails. For some reason my phone has stopped picking them up.

Good afternoon, dear folks. I have 2 pages to read, so I'll take it page by page.

First of all, thank you very much for the eulogy material for Sharon, June. She truly sounds like a magnificent lady - I wish I could have known her.

Suzy, I am stunned by your news. Send me a PM any time you want, sweetie. I think you must be feeling torn. Grandchildren are wonderful, but much more so I think when they are planned. I fear that you are going to become very enmeshed in the raising of the child because of your daughter's inability to ensure the financial stability required. And being a grandmother it will be very hard to say no. Hugs.

Rolanda, sorry about the not so nice news about your auntie. Hugs.

Cyn, thinking of you and your mom.

Viv, sorry you have had some painful months. Wish there was a magic potion that I could send to you. BTW, I had smoked for almost 40 years.

Julie, so happy the wedding went well, and love hearing about the antics of the kids. I think we all needed to hear something like this. Hopefully your life will soon slow down and you can take some time for yourself. Hugs.

MizT, hope Al's appointment goes well.

Have been watching the news about the riots in London and surrounding area. I hope the police are soon able to get them under control.

I am on day 9 of not smoking - today is also a not-too-bad day (that's 3 in a row). Thank you everyone for the words of encouragement ... they certainly help me to keep going!!!

Funny thing happened yesterday. I was sitting outside for a few minutes with a coffee when an older gentleman (I believe in his 90's) comes stumbling into our yard, mumbles something and goes towards our garage. I said, "Excuse me?" He said, "I have to pee," and runs behind the garage. He comes out a minute later and heads down the street. What do you say to someone like that? I know I don't want to be weeding the tons of flowers back there now!!

Theresa, that is funny but I can top it. This is a long story but very funny.

Working at Macy's the weekend after Thanksgiving. I had a long line of customers when I noticed a woman running down the aisle and go into the little hallway near the stockroom and fire exit. I excused myself and went to see where she went, I did not want her in the stockroom. She had opened the fire door (not alarmed) and was peeing on the floor. She said she had to go so bad and could not hold it. I walked back to my register and called security. They had seen the woman (on video camera) run, and me check on her. David (security guy) answered and asked what she was doing. I told him to guess as I did not want to say this in front of my customers. He guessed "taking a dump" I told him no, the other one and asked if he could send housekeeping. He laughed and said OK. About 30 minutes later David calls me back and told me to fill out a security award form. When she left my "bathroom" she started shoplifting. Since I made the initial phone call about her I made $25. I also got bragging rights to one of the funniest stories ever in that Macy's.
