Suzy, the test for iron levels have to be sent out to another lab, so even if she asked for one yesterday we would not know. If iron levels were really low, his Hematocrit would be dropping, and it had, but just tiny bit. You need iron to make red blood cells. I am wondering if he could be depressed?? His sleep medication is a mild anti-anxiety/antidepressant, wonder if that needs to be increased??

I am falling asleep at the keyboard, time to make the long trek to bed. That is turn around, take 2 steps hehehe. See you tomorrow. Hugs to each of you with extras.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be, it's the way it is...The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.. Unknown

I should remember to look at numbers, obviously did not tonight. Since I had found the above just tonight, thought I would share in an close to TOPP post.

Just a quick one, without reading.
Been to a funeral this morning, then to lunch with my sister.
Ken had another funeral this afternoon, then a meeting for work and he is picking his mother up at about 6pm. She will be staying with us for 6 weeks.
I would just like to get in the car and go away, anywhere for about a week. Wishful thinking!
I do feel better after my back massage yesterday.
Thinking of you all

I second that thought Heidi.
Sorry I have been MIA but the boat has taken up most of my time. MizT, your quote is so true and I have not been coping well. 'Tis time I stop worrying and start enjoying as the boat will finally go back in the water tomorrow. I got two days work with ShipLifts and have to finish early tomorrow to get my boat in, oh well vent finished!
Have been reading and I am grateful for my life and hope all your lives improved even with the hard times ahead.
Love and Hugs to you all, I love my SA friends.

Hey Broni, {hugs} ♥

I have also been MIA, been back and forth down to the former kindergarten building that our local council is determined to demolish...even typing the word makes me angry! I am happy to add links if you are interested, although they are FB so those who don't have it wont be able to access the info.
There is an online petition that I can direct you to if you would like to sign.

Morning all. Coffee is ready, help yourself.

Today is my last day of freedom. Tomorrow I am going to be in a workshop and then Monday I go back to school. The kids come back in one week, on August 22. This summer went too quickly.

Morning friends, It is a cloudy cooler day today. Not yet 80 (26C) degrees, unusual for mid August.

Later today I will take Al to chiropractor. I hope he can help with the neck.

I got one load of hsaw hanging out. My line is between posts on the back porch, and kitty is sitting on the porch rail under the clothes. Silly kitty.

TAMI, back to school so soon? I do hope you have a good class this year, or you can whip them into a good class quickly.

June, just too much on your plate at the moment. Could you somehow arrange a few days away somewhere? Could someone come and stay with MIL to give you a break? I do think you need it deer, and it is a good thing to let family and friends know you need help.

Gail, good luck with the petition and with saving the school building. It seems you have delayed it somewhat, so that is encouraging.

Broni, glad the quote spoke to you. Enjoy having the boat back in the water and when you sit on deck looking out at the water, think about me. I would love to be doing that.

ffuts to do before we can get ready for appointment and the other errands while in town. You know, bank, pharmacy, those things. I do visit the pharmacy more than I would like too. I must remember to ask about price of liquid pain medication.

Hugs to each of you, with extras if needed. Till later.

Hi everyone. I can't believe summer is more than half over already. Time flies when you're having fun. Amber and I had a great time at our Guide camp. She didn't want to go but when she got there, she enjoyed it. I knew she would. We were there 9 days. All my girls had lots of fun. My co-Guider and I had a patrol of 4 Guides and 4 Pathfinders. They did all kinds of fun things. We even got to spend a morning in Vancouver. We also got a chance to visit Agassiz, the small town where the camp was. There were girls and Guiders from the Phillipines, New Zealand, the UK, Ireland, Mexico, the US, across Canada and lots from BC. Almost 2,000 women and girls. If you want, check it out here: http://www.bc-girlguides.org/soarbc/
We all had a great time and I will probably go to the next one.

Tami..... You're lucky. The kids here started school 3 days ago. I think that's crazy. Kids need time off to be kids, and the lazy days of summer are for that.

Robert and I have spent the morning doing tractor repairs.... on the borrowed tractor. My big tractor is at the hop again. The borrowed tractor overheated and a radiator hose clamp broke. It looks like I will have to go get a new radiator overflow tank for it tomorrow. That's an hour drive each way. I can't do it today because the horse shoer will be here in a couple of hours.

Hi everyone!
I'm not working today so I'm still sitting here in my pjs. I love getting to stay in bed til 8am - that's my sleep in.
We saw HP and the deathly Hallows pt 2 last night. I only dropped off to sleep once, so all in all quite a good movie.

June, I hope you can find someone to look after your MIL even for a weekend. You and Ken need to find some time to get away.
Theresa, keep up the good work. Keep your hands busy with other things.
Tammy, that seemed like a very short summer holiday. I hope you feel relaxed and ready for the new year.
Gail, keep up the good fight. It's time councils realised that they can't keep riding roughshod over the people!
Suzy, you are continually in my thoughts.
Cyn, thinking of you and your mum. Every day is a bonus.
Broni, It will be great to get the boat back in the water. You have been working on it for a long time now.
OK, it's time I got organised for the day ahead.
Bye

Good afternoon friends. We got our errands done, the doc seen and came home for naps. the chiro was able to help with Al's neck, said it was way out of alignment and had been for a long while. Al said " as if I did not know how long" hehehe. Might need to return next week, wait and see how it does. He is still asleep after pain medication when he got home. He is going to feel so much better when this stops hurting.

It has been cooler all day today. We had a rain late morning. The rain started when I was unable to get out to line to get them in, so they got a final rinse on the line. I hope they dry before bedtime.

the teen across the street came and cut our grass. It had not been a week and it was high already. Rain and high temps the stuff can really grow.

Vicki, nice you got a sleep in this morning. Being in PJ's is always comfy, hope you enjoyed your morning.

School started today for The next county up, the county where "town " is located. Our county starts Monday. Heidi, the children have the same number of days off they always have had, just distributed throughout the year more. They should have 2 nine week grading periods before they get out for Christmas.

RENA, glad you could drop in. Sounds like your girl guides retreat was very nice. I am glad Amber enjoyed it once she got there.

Heidi, your farm is tough on tractors! I do hope you get yours back soon, and that you get the borrowed one repaired soon.

June, know how it is, when I am awake for water in or out, I usually check in here too make sure I have not missed anything. Hope you got back to sleep for a while.

Theresa, hugs back to you too! How many days now? We are all so proud of you, you just keep on keeping on, ya hear?

Time to fling food. I bought fresh broccoli at grocery, and on sale too. Steamed broccoli and some leftover roast beef for dinner tonight.

Hugs to each of you, with extras. Till later.

The following was on the news tonight - this is one lucky group:

Luck has changed for a group of 18 Ottawa workers who were laid off from their jobs at SMART technology earlier this week. Only days after wondering how they'd pay their bills, the group won a $7.1-million jackpot.

Heidi, so sorry your horses now have your back acting up again. I hope your meds, a hot shower and a good night's sleep sets you right again. How often do your horses need new shoes? It seems it was just recent that they got new ones.

Time for bed here. It is still cool out, although a bit humid. in fact my bedroom is too cool, I shall adjust AC temp fore bed. OH, my clothes did dry before bedtime, are in and put away. I did get something done today!

Hugs to each of you with extras. till tomorrow.

Hello all
Day 11, Theresa, good for you. Is it getting easier?
June - I, too, wish you could get the chance to get away for a few days.
Heidi - sorry the heavy work tired you out and made your back sore again. Hope you can rest it.
Vicki - have a lovely lazy day. I liked the HP movie but was sad that it was the end.

Getting towards the end for Mum now - still could be a few days. They started her on Morphine on Wednesday so she sleeps most of the time. They are doing much more regular checks on her (as you would expect) and the chart is headed 'End of Life Care'. Very sad when you see it put that way. Karin and I went up earlier today. She did wake up for a very short while and was delighted to see Karin, and me, of course. Then she nodded off again so we sat with her for another 45mins or so and chatted about our memories of her and Dad - just in case she could somehow hear us. I just feel very sad to see her like this and very sad also at the thought of her passing. (I think about cyber-hugs to feel better. Love you all)

Hello everyone!
I pop in here often, but nothing much to report ...
D2 is back from America, but haven't heard more than that - don't know if a decision has been made. We may see them next week ...
I've done my back again (don't know how) Painful, but not too drastic ... hoping it will be better soon.
I'm keeping you all in my thoughts - sending more {{{{HUGS}}}}} to those who need them. ♥♥♥
