Difficulties come when you don't pay attention to life's whisper. Life always whispers to you first, but if you ignore the whisper, sooner or later you'll get a scream.

Hi All.
I am back from Brisbane.
Before reading the last 4 pages that I have missed,I am so glad to tell you that the cyst is nothing to worry about. Dr thinks he was probably born with it, it will not change in size or cause any problems. The headaches are just a coincidence.
Be back after reading.

Theresa...great to hear how well you are doing, not smoking. As Suzy said, do what ever it takes, even if you need a certain strength of med for longer,it is better than failing.
Someone asked how long it has been for me...7 months.Easy now.
June...hope Laura had a lovely Birthday.Hugs to get you through these rough days.
Suzy...good luck getting more work.I am sure you are worried about nothing.I didn't realize that you hadn't spoken to Dana about the baby.
Gail...safe and happy trip to Adelaide.
Heidi..welcome to Whimsey.Shame your back has put a damper on enjoying life at the moment.
MizT...hope the chiro fixes Al's neck problem. It is always good to get a bargain or even save a few pennies as it adds up quickly.
Rolanda..I hope you don't have to wait too long to sell your home.It is such a nuisance trying to keep everything immaculate all the time.Well,it was for me.I hope your Mum is doing well.
Tami..you are always a busy bee with those beautiful boys. Are you looking forward to getting back to school?

The Brisbane show AKA the EKKA was OK. I loved the animal section, the quilts were spectacular, the agricultural pavilion good but not as big as Sydney and overall,I saw what I wanted to.The walking was a killer with too many pavilions having loads of steps.I don't know how wheelchairs managed. That night,I slept for 10 hours.
We were going to be away a lot longer, but I had had enough.Driving around in a city you dont know with traffic is not my cup of tea.Thank goodness for the GPS. Give me little old Bundy anytime.
At least we don't have to pay $12 something to park at the hospital and we weren't there long either. hehehe

I'm not enjoying the lack of air conditioning, but it could be much worse. Today's high, inside and out, was only 87℉ / 30.5℃. And this is supposed to be the hottest day for a week.

Heidi, is it cooling down for mights? Humidity not too high? If so, you can make it! I hope it is an easy repair on the AC. How is your back?? How is Whimsey??

NOLA, wonderful news about hubby. I know that is a big relief for both of you. I do not like big city traffic either. and we once lived there, so I mostly still know the roads. I am happy to stay here in slow paced Montevallo.

It is 93 here today. bit it is cloudy, there is a breeze and the humidity is low. Not a bad day considering.

I was out this morning a while, errands, then a nice nap when I came home. Just a bit of ffuts to do this afternoon, it is weekend and I deserve a break hehehe.

I read the previous page, cannot remember a single thing there, and if I scroll back I will loose this so. . . Hugs to each of you, with extras, till later.

Heidi..for 30 deg,we wouldn't worry about A/C but we are used to the warmer weather.I would be terrible in the snow though. How you go outside and work in it is beyond me.

I was born in Wisconsin a.k.a. the Arctic Circle. Kentucky winters are mild in comparison.
The temps are dropping down into the mid-60's at night. That makes it survivable.

Morning all,
Nola, that is the best news you could have had!! Well, second best. If he had said they cyst has nothing to do with the headaches but here is the problem and how to fix it, that would have been a tiny bit better.. I know what you mean about city driving. I lived in Sydney for 8 years and LA for 10 (I drove the 405 past LAX to get to work, famous for its traffic!) so I've driven in a lot of traffic, but when I go back to Sydney I'm miserable!

June, I'm glad you got a quieter night. I hope Laura had a great day even with the 'first'.

Heidi, I agree with Nola, for 30C I wouldn't waste energy putting on the aircon. The really hot weather probably hasn't completely finished yet though, so I hope it is fixed before then!

Now I need the big hug mobile but it's on the previous page and I don't want to lose my post. BIG GROUP HUG!!

Suzy - I can understand your fears but, we all know, there's nothing like the love a mother has for her child and despite everything, there's no reason to think differently in her case. She may even come to understand and appreciate you - now that would be a nice surprise. Big hugs!

Rolanda, sympathies and hugs winging their way over to you on the loss of your Tante Annie. Thoughts and prayers to your entire family.

Good luck with the open house, I hope you get 2 serious offers today!!

Suay, I understand your feelings about the little one. If Dana raises the child, you will worry about her constantly. Raising her yourself would be so hard on you and the family. there is a reason older women do not have babies, we are just no longer able to care for them. heck, if I had to care for an infant, I would put her down and forget where I left her hehehe.

CynB, hope you find your Mom comfortable and alert for your visit today. Hugs to you. It must be hard, never knowing how she will be till you get there.

Happy Birthday to Gail's hubby. Hope it is/was a great day! Enjoy the family reunion, Gail, and safe trip home.

We had another shower today, more wind than rain. When it first started raining, there were the biggest raindrops, widely spaced. Sounded like huge ha8ilstones when they hit the roof. I could see them falling and the drops were several inches LONG, most unusual. Again, I went out to watch the trees dance and enjoy the breeze. Al was watching some comedy special, could not convince him to join me today. Bad Hubby.

I think I will turn in shortly, I was up early today and am just tired. Joy is coming down tomorrow, I would like to get up early enough to make us something nice for dinner.

Hugs to each of you with extras. Till tomorrow.

Heidi, just saw your peacock pictures as I'm typing this! Do you save and sell all of the feathers? They're so beautiful!

Still no time to read. It will get less busy eventually!

We had lunch with Dana today. I got to say most of the things I was thinking, though I kept some of it to myself. Afterwards I went and got something for the baby with her. Told her I'd told her what I thought and wanted something nice to happen too.

We've told her we'll be there for her but not financially as this is the time we are supposed to be saving for our retirement. Of course we'll probably end up contributing some, but on our terms..
