Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak;
courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.

Hi everyone!
Sorry it's been a while since I've been here. I think I've got a case of the blaaahs! I just don't/can't/couldn't be bothered/wish I was elsewhere etc etc. I'm sure many of you can relate to that.
I have been reading what you've all written, so hugs to many, best wishes for good luck/good health or just happy days.
It's the end of the month here and I should be busy but again the blaaahs have struck.

Hubby went back to the specialist for his post-op appointment yesterday. He is very happy with the way the healing is happening but he will need the sling until the end of September and he is off work until his next visit on 21st October.

Afternoon all,
Another day another dollar. Boy do my knees and feet hurt! The kids weren't too bad today. I've had better, but I've also had a lot worse.

Gail, I hope your D has a great time and comes home safely!

Vicki, sorry to hear about the blaas, I know what you mean though...Hope they lift soon. Good news about your hubby's surgery.

Now I've forgotten what everyone else said..

Hugs to you all!!

Greetings, Everyone!

Cyn, it's good that the 8 drivers share so that no one is stuck with the 2 a.m. shift! Enjoy your weekend away!

Suzy, it must be difficult to see that certain someone when you are out and about! I hope it doesn't happen often. We applaud your restraint in not running over him! So glad the ferals have improved! Suzy, will Alie audition for X Factor next year?

Rolanda, so glad the car registration has been found!

Suzanne, thinking of you!

Heidi, Lady v. 4 is a smart dog to decide that she likes being there! I hope Timmy's surgery goes well!

Mamacita, you have given excellent advice again! Enjoy your time - and the music - with your sister!

Theresa, congratulations on 30 days without a cigarette! Your concern about your daughter's surgery is understandable. Keeping fingers crossed that financial assistance can be found!

Tami, there MUST be something interesting about Medieval music, and your son is likely to discover it!

Gail, I hope your D has a wonderful trip!

Tami, thanks for the update on Tricia!

I apologize for not responding to more of you! I am falling asleep at the keyboard. {{{{{HUGS}}}}}, positive thoughts and prayers and to all! Good Night!

Morning all. Coffee is ready, help yourself.
June, I can put up a kettle of water if you prefer tea.
Julie, google "Gregorian chants" and listen for a few minutes and tell me what is interesting about them.
Vicky, sorry you are not feeling the best. Hope you get over the blah's soon. Even if you don't feel like posting, try to at least say hi so we know you are OK. You don't have to respond to anyone.
Heidi, glad that Lady has decided she likes your place. She is a smart dog. Good idea leaving the collar on.
Don't remember much else, sorry to whoever I didn't say hi to.

Hi everyone.
I returned to my doctor this morning to tell her I cannot get into this neurosurgeon in newcastle until Nov. 30th. I said to her I cannot continue like this for that long.
So now she has faxed my file to another neuro in sydney, this one a female.
Hopefully tomorrow I will know if I can see her or not.

Tami, I love listening to Gregorian chants as Suzy said they are so relaxing which is why they probably put you to sleep.
June I hope you feel better soon and that your MIL doesn't catch the cold too.
Suzy how come you have allowance left at the end of the month?
Viv hope this neurosurgeon can fit you in as soon as possible.
Richard and I are going to see a Genesis tribute band tonight. I'm not sure how good they are but going by the number of un sold seats they are not very well known.

Now I know where I got this cold! June gave it to me...caring's sharing :(
I actually caught it from son's gf, who got it from him. What's in the family, stays in the family!
After a 4am start this morning I am currently running on empty, but still have to wait a couple more hours till hubby is ready to come off the machine. My eyes are stinging and are being kept open with toothpicks!
I just have not been able to face cleaning up the kitchen after last night's birthday/farewell feast, but hubby will be at his 'one day a month' work day tomorrow, so I will potter through it like a brave little trooper.
Don't get too close to the computer every one, stay well!

I am flying over to Adelaide on Saturday, there in the morning (early) and back that night (late). Going over for a high school reunion, the school no longer exists so it will be lovely to see it happen...all started due to a comment on FB!

Brenda, I don't know why we have allowance left, though I suspect it was pointing out to hubby that his google mapping probably was the reason I ran out of allowance in the middle of preparing for lessons last month... and nagging Alie about downloading so much music. I didn't change what I did because I always rationed myself anyway.

I took a pill to make me sleep. It worked for one hour and I woke up with more coughing. Know how you feel Gail! Have a good trip to Adelaide.
Sharon's funeral made some of her school friends realise they should get together and see something of one another.

A lovely day here for the first day of Spring.

Spring is sprung.
The grass is riz.
I wonder where the birdies is?
The bird is on the wing.
Now isn’t that absurd?
I always thought the wing was on the bird!

Spring has sprung, the buds all break
Spring has sprung and nature wakes

Spring has sprung, winter’s gone
Now we sing our happy song
Tra-la, la-la, la-la, lay
Sweep the old dead leaves away

Good Morning everyone. I think I've discovered the reason for my blahs.

Thanks for that poem Viv, I was thinking about it earlier but couldn't get past "The bird is on the wing" although I knew there was a line about the "wing is on the bird".
I remember my father reciting it when I was much younger.

Greetings, All!

Vicki, so sorry the blahs have set in. I hope they pass quickly, as they're just no fun! So glad hubby's shoulder is healing well! Does he have physical therapy while he is away from work?

Suzy, I'm glad you're getting some work, but too bad it's mostly the ferals! I hope your feet and knees are better!

June, I hope you are soon better! That cough sounds miserable! Gentle {{{HUGS}}}!

Tami, I grew up singing Gregorian chants in choir. Yes, some can be rather sad/deadly/boring, but I agree with Suzy; some are rather mystic, other-worldly, calming, and one might even say beautiful. Many centuries separate us from them, so they can be difficult to listen to. At least he had the benefit of the internet to gather information and samples.

Viv, I'm so glad your doctor listened to you and decided to try another neurosurgeon. I hope you have better luck getting an appointment!

Gail, sorry I can't help with the k word naelc-pu! Have fun in Adelaide at your school reunion! (Sadly, my high school no longer exists either. The building remains, but schools have gone to a regional system as populations dwindle.) Hopefully you slept well when you finally got to bed!

June, I'm so sorry the pill didn't help you sleep. I hope the second time was the charm!

Suzanne, it's good to hear that you and Darrell are both stubborn and not about to head to divorce court. Nevertheless, we're thinking of you and hoping for some excellent communication and smoothing of life's little bumps!

Heidi, I hope the 2 weeks go by quickly and you begin to feel a bit better in the meantime!

Hello, Broni! I hope all is well!

Viv, enjoy the quiet of the house while hubby is away. I had never seen the complete poem about "Spring is sprung" before. Quite clever!

June and Gail, I hope you soon feel much better! Not a good time to get a cold!

Viv and Heidi, I hope you each soon get some relief from your back troubles!

{{{{{HUGS}}}}}, , positive thoughts and prayers for all!

Hubby spent part of the day today on a project for our woodturning club. Tomorrow we will both be involved. Next week we have 2 meetings, and the following week we have another 2. (Guess we'll be keeping out of trouble for a while.)

Good night, everyone!
