The reason I'm making my favorite meal is that I need comfort food. Believe it or not, it's IH and my 32 anniversary today.

Tami yes I finally got the orders through last night. Customer Sales $1,784 worth.
I will need help to deliver this lot that is for sure.
CynB I have had to cancel my trip to Geelong.
I do not know how this back problem is going to pan out and whether I will have to have an operation or not.
I was so looking forward to the visit too.
We do not get to go away at all.
So I am sure I will still be here, please look me up when you come down.

I will not be doing too much today, I am having terrible nights of broken sleep at the moment.
Might take the Scrabble with me to Cafe 66 this morning I think.

Enjoy your Scrabble, Viv. And I will most definately look you up when I come to Port.
Going out today to visit my former MIL (my kids' other grandmother). She and I have stayed close even after the divorce many years ago. She is in Hospital and has been for weeks. Broke her leg and they won't let her out until she is able to walk properly. She and her hubby still live independently, both are 90. This is the first chance I've had to see her with everything that has been going on in my life. Now that my Mum. Col's Mum and Aunty Vi have all gone - this lady is the only mother figure left in my life.

Cyn, Have a nice visit with former MIL. I hope her leg heals quickly.

Viv, that is a huge order. Hope you had a nice anniversary and I hope you get to take the trip someday. Hubby and I have not been able to travel either. We would love to take the boys on a road trip someday.

We received a good news email last night from Peter's Aunt (in Albany).. a new grandbaby on the way!
Son and DIL just found out they are expecting #1.
The Dr said DIL was around 30 weeks...
... how does one get to 30 weeks and not know they are PG ?
Anyhoo.. everyone is excited and looking forward to the little one.
I also heard in the same email, that one of Peter's cousin in NSW is also expecting, her baby #2 is due after the one in Albany.

Supper was a success. Barb and Don had never tasted blintzes before, and loved them. The corned beef, cabbage and baby potatoes caused sighs of delight, they were so good.

Hi everyone!

Al and MizT, I'm thinking of you both.

Rolanda, congratulations on the two new babies to be.
Happy Anniversary Heidi and IH
Happy belated Anniversary to Viv and Mr V.

#1 son has taken his girl to the beach to celebrate 2 years as a couple. It's cold and wet today but supposed to be cold and fine over the weekend. They are staying in a unit with beach views so I hope they enjoy their weekend.

This is my working weekend. Whoopee (not). I just love spending hours on my feet and talking to newsagents. Oh well, at least I get paid for it - and then only another 5 working days and I'll be on holidays!!
Hubby and I went out to buy cabin bags last night. We are only taking one suitcase and the rest will be cabin luggage. I plan to fill mine with shoes (and books) - not necessarily heavy but very bulky for a suitcase.
I'm also taking my laptop. The poor thing is getting so slow now that we are talking about upgrading it for a newer model as a Christmas present.

Vicki, mine is starting to slow down too. My laptop I mean. It's not very old so I'm about to do a defrag - when I can bring myself to be without it for that long, those things take ages!

Greetings, Everyone!

We had the second of 4 meetings in an 8-day stretch. Next Monday and Tuesday will finish them off. Somewhat productive, somewhat unproductive, as the club's president really doesn't listen. (It's "my way or the highway" with him & he's trying to run a volunteer club like a business. I think of him as "Mr. PowerPoint.")

For those who have Skype, I'm glad for you! I've been trying for a couple of years to talk hubby into it, but no luck yet. At least some of you can easily keep in touch with family and friends. I bet if it had been his idea, we would have had it a couple of years ago. But I really can't complain, as he's a great guy in many ways!

Rolanda, thinking of your Mum! Hoping for quick healing!

Nola, thinking of your sister! I hope all goes well and the results of the PET scan are what she's hoping for!

MizT, thinking of you and Al! What can we say? It's so completely unfair! Hang in there!

Viv, thinking of you and hoping you can get an appointment sooner, rather than later! Were you able to get your Avon orders posted?

Theresa, thinking of you and hoping those darn cravings will soon disappear!

Broni, thinking of you! Get that resume updated! I hope you can find the job of your dreams!

Tami, thinking of you and your last day of the week with students! Hope you have a great Friday! (Can no longer access the smilies. Maybe I used up my allotment?)

Heidi, thinking of you and the yummy dinner you made! (Yep, the smilies seem to be eluding me now.)

Maybe I should give up for tonight and come back tomorrow (well, later today) to read page 211.

Thinking of everyone, those I've mentioned and those I didn't (sorry)! Sending bunches and bunches of {{{{{HUGS}}}}}, prayers, positive thoughts and love! Good Night for now!

Well, as I read more, what could be more appropriate that Viv's anniversary is the day before Heidi's. I hope your day was bearable or better, Viv!

Thinking of both of you girls and not knowing exactly what to say. Maybe just saying that we're thinking of both of you is enough?

Rolanda, what exciting baby news! As for not knowing she was PG, perhaps she had been told it was not possible to get PG and she just thought she had put on a little weight. (Though, getting to 30 weeks is a bit of a stretch.) I had a friend who had been told she would never have children and was pleasantly surprised, but discovered the surprise earlier than 30 weeks.

Cyn, enjoy your visit with your former MIL! How nice that you still stayed in each other's lives!

Suzanne, your day sounds fun and enjoyable!

Vicki, I hope the weekend of work goes quickly, then it's just a few more days until you can get away!

Suzy, I think we could use a defrag here as well. The computer is really just dragging. But then, maybe it's as tired as I am. Good Night, All!

The cold front has moved in and the temps have dropped to 14C. That's really cold for this time of the year. We are expecting 7C on Sunday morning. I need to bring out all the winter woolies again.

I'll join in with the anniversary wishes - Viv and Heidi, you two are saints!
I had a friend whose daughter was almost due before she knew she was pregnant - they were busy, hadn't been trying for a baby (it was their first) and she just thought she was putting on weight. Turned out to be a delightful surprise for all. But they didn't have much time to prepare and kit out a nursery!

My brother has a Kindle. My sister-in-law was reading a book she downloaded on it last weekend - sure looked easier than holding and turning pages on a book. However, our next expense in that line will be a new computer, our main one is just holding on. This laptop is good and behaves itself mostly.

My ex MIL was good today, she had been up walking with her walker. She hopes to go home on Monday. Don't know if that's wishful thinking. They are so independant. He is nearly 91 and rides his bike to the shopping centre (a couple of kms away). He fell off it recently. He also fell over in the bath a week or so ago. It is impossible to persuade them to accept help. Karin and her cousin do what they can. Karin's Dad, my ex, barely speaks to them so he is no help.

Good morning everyone.((HUGS)) to everyone and extras for those who need them.
Two new babies for your family Rolanda sounds wonderful. I'm not sure if I mentioned that R's step daughter (the one who lives in Australia) is pregnant, due end of March. She already has a son aged 7, so a big age gap.
Well done to Heidi and Viv for surviving your marriages for so long.

I use my daughter's Kindle during school term time, she gets to use it during the holidays. Her idea as it stops her reading to long on an evening when she should be going to sleep to be refreshed to go 'torture the kids' (Tami's description of her job)
I have asked for one for xmas (and know I am getting one as it was delivered the other day. This is the third time my hubby has ordered me a surprise for xmas and it has been delivered in a box with either the name or a picture on the box. As I am the one at home who takes delivery of parcels I get to see what things are without opening them sometimes.

I'm a very lucky lady as my hubby likes buying present, especially if they are bargains. There must have been a special deal going on the Kindle for him to order it so early, normally he waits till the last minute for the xmas shopping he has to do.

Morning all. Coffee is ready, help yourself.

Brenda, how nice that you have a husband that is thoughtful. Mine does not take subtle hints very well. If I want something I either buy it myself or tell him exactly what I want. I will be able to tell the boys soon and they can tell dad for me.

Rolanda, congrats on the new babies. I also find it hard to believe she did not know, but it would not be the first time someone did not know.

Don't remember much else. I need more coffee.

See you all later.
