Suzy broke the site

Just another half an hour and then it's home to finish packing. We need to be leaving home at 5am tomorrow morning.

#2 son is in the wars again. He was at his mate's place on Saturday and stumbled and put his arm through a glass panel in the door. They called the ambulance which arrived one and a half hours later (but after the 2 police cars).
He had to have an xray and multiple stitches but he missed everything vital luckily. He will be home all this week and gets the stitches out next week.
Boys!

Victoria have a lovely break. Hope your son heals well.
June I forgot to say what a lovely thing the school has done by instigating awards in Sharon's name.
Suzy, I too wish I had been able to say I had booked flights to NSW, but Richard only has two weeks holiday left to take this year and I feel that we would need longer than that to do everything we would like to in Australia.
What has Alie been up to to need a lecture, nothing serious I hope.

Vicki, hope your son is okay. I'm wondering why 2 police cars came but an ambulance didn't...

Brenda, you will get here sometime!
Not my best day. Been battling hives the last few days and the funeral today left me feeling very drained. I was OK till we started singing 23rd. Psalm. (Sharon's coffin was taken out of the church as we sang that). All I could see was Sharon's coffin. That was the third funeral I have been to since Sharon's. I have been getting very teary lately. I think the time comes when you realise that they are not coming back. I did come home and have a sleep this afternoon.

I have to bowl tomorrow. It is the clubs triples championship. On paper the other team is the better one. The weather has warmed up so I may decide to wear shorts.
Sorry not up to making lots of comments. I know you all understand. Have read and thought of you all. Lots of {{{HUGS}}} to you all.

June, loved actually hearing about how you were.
Just a suggestion, I would love to hear about more of what is happening in your lives, goes without saying how much we care for those in distress. There we go! We need a symbol, an SA Hug, we know how much it means to us.

June I know I will make it over there one day, the sooner the better for me which is why I am saving hard, and hoping that one month my premium bonds will win one of the big prizes.
Florida will be a fairly inexpensive holiday and it will be nice to catch up with Tami and her boys again.

Broni, you and Rolanda are welcome to visit anytime. I don't know where I could put you to sleep, but I am sure Harley would share his bed

Brenda, it will be good to see you and Richard again. It will probably have to be on a weekend due to school. I am off of school on November 11 if that day is good.

Vicki - have a great holiday although I've probably missed you by now.
June - thinking of you and big hugs. We had a version of the 23rd Psalm at Mum's funeral - by Paul Kelly called Meet me in the Middle of the Air. Here is a version sung a capella by Tripod.

Brenda, all being well we might head over your way within the next 12 month. I thought the cough had almost gone away but it is back tonight. Stress????
Only one more week till MIL goes home.
Might go to bed. Sheets washed and dried on the line. Love getting into fresh sheets.
Broni, I will just take a hug. You can keep the 4x2.

There is a huge difference between losing a child and losing one's elderly and sick parents. Even though I will always miss my Mum and Dad and I do grieve for them, I am having a completely different experience to what our dear June is having. After so many years of dealing with both Dad and then Mum, in my case I was EPOA for both as well as being the one most available to help out - very lonely at times, although both my siblings were working and it couldn't be helped. Now I am finally feeling a freedom that I haven't had in years. A feeling that I can now get on with the things I need to do or want to do. In the New Year, I am finally going to do something for me, something I've wanted to do for years - take Art Classes. I will still do my mosaics but I want to expand and see what else I am capable of, maybe I'll be hopeless but you don't know if you don't try. It's only now that I realise how I limited myself to be there for my parents, as they, particularly my Mum, did for us when we were children. Wish me luck, one day I might be 1/4 as good as Suzy's Mum.

Suzy - no we haven't heard from Lach yet. I'd say he's having too good a time and typical of a 12yo can't remember to ring home. His Mum found a spot on the island that had phone reception and called me this afternoon and I had no news for her. I think she was a tad disappointed.

CynB I know where you are coming from..
having an elderly Mum to run around after, and not doing the things I want to do and the freedom to do so, in order to be there for her.

Evening all,
June, I don't know how you are managing to go to any funerals at all!! A strong lady as we have all said many times... Have fun bowling tomorrow, win or lose.

Cyn, have you watched the Moulamein video with my mother in it. One thing she says is that opening the gallery has helped people discover their hidden talents. I'm sure it will be the same for you!

Brenda, what has Alie been up to? She's got herself a boyfriend - an older man! A whole year older in fact. She got the 'you're too young to have s3x but if you do you need to be sure it is your decision and not something you've been pressured into, you also need to have come to me first and I will make sure you have the pill and c0nd0ms...' you know the talk... Not that it helped with the first one.

Grettings friends. Boy did I sleep today away. I had TWO naps today. I slept when AL did today. His only complaint is his neck hurts, vertebra, and as far as I know it is not cancer related. you will remember he was having problems and went to chiropractor before hospitalization. Not sure what can be done for this, now.

It is cloudy and cool today. I went out with my coffee this morning, and did not stay long. Very windy, camp, made it uncomfortable. T storms in forecast this week, but we did not get any today.

Suzy, a very good talk to Alie. I do hope it sinks in with her. Mothers of girls all have to have a similar talk, or at least they should. You did good, Suzy!

Tami, sorry to hear hubby is cranky, even if just a bit. Does he take his pain meds on a timed schedule? Might help these first few days. It is easier to keep the pain under control than to try to stop it once there. I will now take off my nursing cap till needed again.

Heidi, is there an invisible post from the site breaker in there somewhere?? hehehe How's the back today?

Time to check on AL, I hear a wheeze, time to change the cannula again.

Hugs to each of you with extras, especially to June. Till later.

Tricia, no he is not taking his medicine on schedule as it gave him the runs this morning. He skipped the afternoon and waited until he ate dinner. He was hoping food would take away the upset tummy.

Just got a quick phone call from Lachlan. He's having a great time but it's very hot and humid -more so than here in summer, he says. They're just about to head for the bullet train to Hiroshima. He went to the baseball last night in Kyoto. He's a man of few words on the phone, always has been, although he never shuts up in real life, so I had to squeeze every bit of info out of him. Pleased he rang though.
Now to take these girls (Hayley and Chloe) shopping, they are sooo bored here, they say! Pffft - I say!
