It is the little things I want to wrap up first, and other stuff I will not be needing for the next 12 months ... the knicky knackies, photos... I had to have on show for Home Opens.
We still have 3 1/2 weeks in this house.

You have every right to be a proud mummy Rolanda.
Both your sons have done extremely well.
Hope you have found the paper to start wrapping and packing.

Big Proud Mummy Hugs Rolanda!

Don't tell my girls, but I'd rather have your type of proud mummy moment than the ones I have.. sad I know. But at least I have something for now...

Morning all. Coffee is ready, help yourself.

Rolanda, thanks for sharing the proud mummy moment. I think we all enjoy hearing the good stuff. My hubby is also good at finding "lost" stuff instantly.

Suzy, you should be very proud of your daughter. Alie has a beautiful voice and will bring joy to all the people who listen to her.

Hello to anyone else I have missed. Not awake enough to remember most of what I have read.

Wish mine could find 'lost' stuff. I can tell him where it is but he still doesn't find it. Come to think about it the same can be said for all my family, they look with their eyes closed.
Yes Suzy, you have to be a proud mummy where Alie is concerned.

Start with fifty cents, the older they get, the more money wise they get! My kids were 50c for a little tooth, and a $ for molars :)

Laura got $1 but the ones she lost 2 days after Sharon went she got $2(different fairy). Not sure about the one that came out the other day. Last I saw it was still sitting on the bench until she was ready to get some money. She kept the first two. Did not want to give them to the fairy.

I went to bed hoping to sleep without waking and scratching. Hubby just came to bed and put the radio on. Woke me up and doesn't he realise that stress makes the hives itch all the more!!!!!!

June have you tried telling him about it? Maybe you could get him a radio with earphones, so he doesn't disturb you. I bought Richard some wireless earphones, the docking station for them plugs into the audio out on his radio so he can listen to whatever he wants without disturbing me.

Right now the rain is going on either side of us, We have a several hour respite. Maybe it'll be long enough to mow the lawn. The grass is growing again!

Yes June...I can really appreciate what you are going through...no fun. The shot and prednisone are the only things that finally got mine to stop...the topicals do little for any length of time. Hope you are soon over the hives.
Congratulations on son's achievement Rolanda.... Suzy...we all have a reason to be proud of our kids. If it hasn't happened for both yet...just remember that late bloomers smell as sweet as the early ones...
May the sun shine for all of you and when the shade comes may it be welcomed. Peace.

OHHHHH....btw...Hello to you all...

No rain here either today, Heidi. I should have hung our the shaw today.

Had to run to grocery for milk, bank to deposit a check, pharmacy for refills, and the little DING from auto told me I needed gas. Dropped a bundle, came home with very little.

Just bone tired today, not sure why. think it is the tummy not happy draining me. I phoned again to doc office about my Gall bladder results. It seems they found them, but Doc must review the test results. Does it sound like it is not negative?? wish he would take a look sooner rather than later. Only been a week since I had the test.

Al's brother will come down one day this week, best choose him a day, this week is going by. Joy will be down thursday evening, we have paperwork to do, and get Al to answer some questions. this might be interesting.

June, I do hope the hives get better soon, and that your hubby will understand that the radio wakes you.

Hugs to each of you, with extras where needed.

Morning all,
Quick drop in as I'm taking the guitar over for its 'operation' this morning. We weren't allowed to do it when the guitar was new. Now it's a few months old - and slipped off her lap when she was trying to use it in the competition - we're allowed to get it done. I called and asked about the button things that you use to put straps one, apparently they're called end pins. Who knew?

Don't get me wrong. I'm very very proud of Alie. I would prefer to be proud of her for graduating Uni with first class honours, but she finds any subject other than music or art boring and puts no effort in at all.

Being Height Challenged has it's drawbacks... Butcher's Paper found in the top section of the Cupboard in Boy#2 room, what looked empty to me was not in fact empty! Now if one got on a chair or ladder one would have discovered this.

I have Mr Electrician coming by this morning, he is due to be here Now. He will be installing the wired in Smoke Alarms (2)(ours are battery operated), and another RCD (residual-current device) (we have one, need to have 2)to the meter box. Rules and Regulations required by Law to have these installed when selling a House.

Suzy... your daughters, my sons and the education of them..
My boys both chose to go to Uni of their own accord.
Boy#1 decided 3rd year High what he was going to Uni and which course he was going to do.
Boy#2 decided 5th year high he was going to Uni still deciding which course.
Their talents were Maths and Science (specially boy #1)
Neither of them can draw, play an instrument, or hold a tune... unlike your girl#2 she has such amazing talent, she will go far.

Just got back from baseball practice. Car had a dead battery. Did not have jumper cables with me. Asked around for cables and found my mechanic. He did not have cables. Finally found cables and my mechanic pulled his car over and gave my car a jump. Got home and car started all by itself. Luckily it is under warranty so I will go in the morning and have it replace. My car goes through batteries very quickly.

Rolanda, Mitchell is like your boys. Excellent at maths and science, but not musical, though he tries.
Dylan is good at maths and science also, and he is also showing some ability to play. He is in the recorder ensemble at school and wants to learn clarinet when he gets to middle school (years 6-8) next year.

Looks that way Heidi.

checking in fore bedtime with a vent. Rough afternoon pushing a chain again. He still will not do what he needs to do, and it affects his overall health. I give up. MEN!

Rolanda, glad you found the roll of paper. I can see how it would have been hidden from you.

Tami, glad you can get a new battery. It is nice when the car gets you there and then gets you back home again.

Did I say that the doc called me this afternoon. Gall bladder test was normal. He will have his assistant call me to reschedule the colonoscopy and endoscopy.

Wired in smoke allarms are a good idea on paper, but sometimes they are installed in poor locations and go off every time the stove is used. I had a friend whose did just that. Ours here are battery but this is an older house.

Take my medicines, do one more chore, then I am going to bed. Hope all the topsiders have a good night tonight, and the DUGs enjoy the rest of their day.

Hugs to each of you, with extras. Till tomorrow!

AFternoon all,
Ffuts mostly done, FB and FV annoying the heck out of me, I have an hour until I have to go out and don't feel like doing any more ffuts, so here I am.

Don't you hate it when you do a lot of ffuts, but because you haven't done the finishing touches ffuts, it looks like you've done hardly anything at all??

Question for skype users. My friend insists it costs money to use. Not a lot of money, but she says it is not free. Have any of you ever paid for a skype call?

Rolanda, I was one of those maths and science people so I think that's why it's disappointing to see her take so little interest in school.

What bright spark put the paper where only they could see it when it would be you looking for it???

I'm surprised that the boys aren't more musical. Studies have shown a strong link between maths and music, as in, kids taught music do better in maths. Maybe the reverse doesn't work...

Tami, it sounds like your car has something wonky in the way it's wired if it's going through batteries too quickly. Unfortunately finding what it is would probably cost more than a lifetime of batteries!

My house is like Brenda's, unless I look for it, it isn't found!

MizT, busy day today for you. So glad your gall bladder test was normal. I had a friend with problems and they were in a lot of pain. Her diet has changed forever since the diagnosis and the surgery.

Suzy, Skye computer to computer is free. If you phone from the computer to a phone there is a small charge. (I do not use that so not sure of the cost, although I was offered a free for one month trial a couple of weeks ago).
You do need a speaker or camera speaker if one is not already on your computer.

Hope this means you are thinking of getting
SKYPE Suzy! As June said it is free computer to computer. I can also use it on my Iphone free (when on WiFi) to call computer contacts, but there is no visual. Richard uses it for work to call international numbers and it is cheap, again not sure of the cost.
