I've been MIA for a few days - feeling really blah for a while there.

IS ANYBODY UP FOR MY REALLY GOOD NEWS? I had my angiogram yesterday to find out where the artery blockage was. Lo and behold, there was no blockage and no sign of heart disease!!!! I had had 5 ECG's, an echocardiogram, a persantine stress test that all showed an abnormality. The cardiologist said that other things like lung, gall bladder and other things can affect an ECG. So I will go to my family doctor to try and figure out what's wrong. BUT IT'S NOT MY HEART!!!

I was at the Heart Institute for 8 hours, most of that time on my back. I woke up this morning barely able to move. BUT MY HEART IS OK!!! I have to keep my right arm elevated for 48 hours, put clean dressings on the puncture site, and not use the right arm to lift, and I can't get it wet for at least 3 days. So I am liable to be the stinky one soon. BUT MY HEART IS OK!!!

Hubby has to help me cut up my food, help get me dressed (especially socks and shoes), and do everything around the house for a few days. He took yesterday and today off work. BUT AT LEAST MY HEART IS FINE!!!

Heidi, do you listen to us when we tell you to take it easy after your epidural? I guess we're both too stubborn to listen to each other.

Morning all,
MizT, hope you don't get indigestion tonight and get a good night's sleep. It's easier to cope when you're rested.

School holidays have just started so Alie theoretically has 2 full time weeks to learn her song. She of course is filling up that time with other things. I'm resisting so far. But I've also decided that I'm leaving it up to her. She knows what's needed, if she doesn't do it then it's her problem. If I push she'll make it my problem.

I hope the teen next door is happy with the move. And I hope he has the option to return if he isn't. I'm sorry you'll lose him because he sounds like a big help.

MizT, a lot of people have a prepaid plan like that here. It's the only plan that's really safe for most kids to have. Alie has one that is $30 a month and she gets unlimited texts plus about 300 minutes of calls and unlimited facebook. It expires in a month and she's never run out yet. She has to pay for it. We agreed to pay for one that lasted until it was used up and for emergencies only, she wanted a social one so she gets to pay.

Imagine calling your daughter Cinderella! Gave me a giggle and she would have had to deal with that all her life. I bet she made suremost people never knew her name!

Brenda, manga is huge so using names from there is a lot like Cinderella, but if it's a common name as Heidi says, possibly more like Bella/Isabella.

I heard on the news yesterday that there is another El Nina which means another wet, overcast summer. Oh well, it could be worse. Without that we could have a summer like the US has had - hot and lots of fires. The fires have already started, though they have been mostly started by arsonists.

Hi All...Nothing much but just saying hello.
Theresa, you were on my mind today..I was wondering if you had started to experience any good things that happen once we stop smoking such as the taste of food, new smelling ability, etc...but then thought you had been to scared to think about these things with the health issues looming so large right now...BUT....NOW that you know just how good your heart is, perhaps you can start enjoying your non-smokers stage. However, just a warning, lots of things get worse before they get better, such as coughs,etc.... so you will have lots of different experiences. I'm really happy for you.

June, so glad your itchies are gone...enjoy your non-itchie state for a long time!

MizT and Al...(((((HUGS)))))... Big time.

Let the sun shine brightly on the rest of your days and nights..be good or careful...whichever makes your life easier. Hugs, peace and joy to all.

Morning Theresa, still dancing inside over your news!!

So I sat down tonight because it was starting to feel like things were starting to overlap, and worked out what's on for the rest of the year. If you want me in October, forget it. November isn't too bad so far and I've had worse Decembers. But don't try to arrange anything for me in October! It's doable, but Alie is going to be exhausted. She is over Forever Archie. I think there's only so many times one of you can act like Queen of the World before the others get over it. Kind of unfortunate that Forever Archie has a few things coming up. A band competition (that Alie doesn't want to go to), the Kangaroo Valley Folk Festival (twice), and a gig in Wollongong.

Morning all. Coffee is ready. Pour a cup and sit for a while.

Theresa, good news about you heart being OK.

Suzy, it is a shame when one member can ruin things for the other members.

Mamacita, thanks for the visit. You always seem to know exactly what to say.

Rolanda, good luck with the packing and moving. Hope it is not too difficult a transition for you.

Don't remember much else. I need to pour more coffee down my throat. Be back later,

Copied from the other site. Enjoy.
Just thought I'd pass on some totally useless, yet amusing trivia about critters:
A pig's orgasm lasts 30 minutes. (O.M.G.!!!) A cockroach will live nine days without its head before it starves to death. (Creepy. I'm still not over the pig.) The male praying mantis cannot copulate while its head is attached to its body. The female initiates s-x by ripping the male's head off. (Honey, I'm home . What the...?) The flea can jump 350 times its body length. It's like a human jumping the length of a football field. (30 minutes. Lucky pig! Can you imagine?) The catfish has over 27,000 taste buds. (What could be so tasty on the bottom of a pond?) Some lions mate over 50 times a day. (I still can't believe that pig ...quality over quantity.) Butterflies taste with their feet. (Something I always wanted to know.) Elephants are the only animals that cannot jump. (Okay, so that would be a good thing.) A cat's urine glows under a black light. (I wonder how much the government paid to figure that out.) An ostrich's eye is bigger than its brain. (I know some people like that.) Starfish have no brains. (I know some people like that, too.) Polar bears are left-handed. (Talk about a southpaw.) Humans and dolphins are the only species that have s-x for pleasure. (What about that pig? Do the dolphins know about the pig?)

Years ago I went to the zoo with a friend and it must have been mating season. All the adults were talking about which animals they saw. I caught the elephants. Very interesting day at the zoo. This was long before I was married.

Got a bunch of errands done, but got home too late to go for a drive with Challenger. That will be my #1 priority tomorrow. I'll just use my 2 wheeled cart and give him a good workout.

Very busy Tami, have Laura (School hols) but taking her to Belinda's place today. Yesterday we went Wollongong (1 1/2 hours drive away). Also had MIL so visited cemetery with flowers (Ken's Dad and other relatives). Laura wanted to know if that was where her Mother would be. No. and she would be able to put flowers for her Mother when that was all finalised. Very matter of fact.
Next two days big days at bowls. We have a carnival organised for tomorrow. Sis/IL comes home Tuesday so MIL will go home then.
