more like psychotically!
Heidi, she saw everything she wanted to see, and her friend is now volunteering at an animal sanctuary, which is not really Chloe's thing. She had enough of backpacking, not her usual mode of travelling. But, she saw Machu Picchu, did the trek, saw three countries, volunteered at an after-school group, stayed in a luxury hotel one night in Macau...what more do you need!

Morning all. Coffee is ready, help yourself.

Just had a funny scare. Cell phone rang and it was Mitchell. He should be on his school bus. I answered, but he didn't speak. He butt dialed me. I can't wait to mess with him tonight.

Gail, glad that Chloe had a good trip. It sounds amazing and I hope I can do it someday, while I am still able to hike and climb.

Rolanda, glad mum's nose is healing well.

We lost the bowls big time! It was very windy and the other team were playing well.
Hives really bad tonight. I did not sleep well last night. I have taken extra anti histamines tonight so hope I sleep better.
Worried about you and Al, Tricia. Hope they soon decide on some type of treatment.

Morning friends, having my coffee and a bit of time to read before time to start my day. I hear no wheezes from AL this morning, so he can sleep in this morning.

We have misty rain, it is cool and very damp. Would be nice to have either Air Con or heat to dry out the air, but neither is needed.

June, so sorry you lost at bowls. Hope those hives get better soon. I too hope that you are sleeping soundly now. Huge Hugs to you sweetie.

HI Tami, thanks for the coffee! Mitchell, poor dear, will be in for some of your trouble making tonight hehehe. I understand the scary part though.

Rolanda, sorry you have one more trip with Mum to get stitches out, but it is better than an emergency trip to ER cause the wound opened. Older people take longer to heal, skin is fragile sometimes. I hope all goes well next week.

Gail, sounds like Chloe had a great trip. I am glad she is home safe now.

Time to get moving,Make formula, make phone calls.
Another day in the life of . . .

Hugs to each of you. Thoughts and prayers where needed. Extra hugs too, take all you need. Till later.

NO, I did not break the site. It was such a good post, everyone was afraid to compete hehehe.

Our misty rain has escalated to a steady rain. that is the good kind that can sink in.

I'm just having a slow day. I had a bout of diverticulitis last night, and haven't fully rejoined the human race yet. Just lounging around doing nothing.

Yea....Heidi's body is doing what we can't!!!! Making her take it a little slower! Feel better soon girl. And keep going easy for awhile!
And to all of you...good afternoon...and it's been one of my best yet, in spite of cool, damp weather... I just finished having a telephone visit with my #1DIL...she and Mike were divorced many years ago, but we had had a great relationship that got put on hold, but has now been reestablished...that makes me a very happy woman!
I've done lots of reading, but remember just bits and pieces... tried to find Allie's U-tube w/o success, so missed hearing that, but glad to see Susie posting and even breaking the site...kidding Suze.... hang in there...you are doing what you are good at doing with the girls...
Brenda hope you have a great time in Florida...wish it was at a time when I was there and could catch up with you and Richard
Tami, hope hubby is feeling less pain from the broken finger, but that's what happens when you play ball!!!
I also think its Viv who's going on holiday...have fun.
Wish I could crash one of those Aussie luncheons that happen so often.... maybe one of these days!
June, I understand where you're coming from with so many funerals while you are still so close to Sharon's passing...but you deal with them with so much love and grace...hoping you have some much needed space without more loss. I loved what the school did in Sharon's memory...She would have been most grateful I'm sure.
CynB...I know how you feel too...and its time to fully enjoy your new found freedom...your Mum and Dad would be so glad to know that you have reclaimed your life and are looking forward to beauty again....Life is for the living to enjoy!!!
Tricia...you are doing so well as a caregiver for Al...but don't forget to take your "me time" often...naps in the recliner are good...refresh your body and soul and you will conquer the world girl! Of course I add my voice to the many wishes that Al gets a place in the trails of choice, but no matter what else he gets in his treatment, he won't find a better person in his corner than you...so he is well blessed. Walk together in your strong love...so good to see.
Peace, Love and Joy to all...with lots of hugs thrown in...

The rain has stopped for now. We really needed it bad! The hay is starting to grow again and we will get one more cutting. It had better be a good one, too, because we're 100 to 150 hay rolls short of what we need for winter feeding.

I have multiple nest boxes filled with baby budgies. I banded the 2 biggest babies yesterday. I looked into one really noisy box and saw a tangle of 5 or 6 babies in it, all naked still. I need to look in the other 5 nests in the budgie cage to see how many are in there.

Morning all,
I'm on the phone with my mother and she's telling me a horrible story. My brother works with special needs children. I was telling Mum about running into him when he was with an autistic boy. She told me about another boy he deals with. This boy was locked in a cupboard until he was 5 years old and brought out for friends of his parents s3xu@l pleasure. He's 17 now and completely destroyed. The teachers at the high school mentioned a unit for students who are not damaged, they are broken. I imagined bad things, but nowhere in my imagination could I come up with my brother's story. His behaviour now is completely out of control, though not all the time. When he ages out of the kind of care my bro provides he'll probably end up in jail, locked up again, just because there is nowhere else to keep him and others safe.

Good Morning my friends.
Just got back from the dentist (did I ever tell you how much I hate dentists) survived with no cavities but need 4 teeth repaired, first one done today so can only mumble.
Love and hugs to you all.

Oh Suzy - what an awful story! And the sad truth is that people like that boy are seldom rehabilitated completely. What a sad horrible way to start life. Every child deserves and should have parents who love and protect them.

Oh. My. God. What a horror story. The poor boy was in the control of subhuman monsters. I hope his parents and their friends are in prison for life. Here, child molesters of that degree are killed by the other prisoners.

I think Mamacita and Nola(?) can sympathise with me at the moment. The hives are worse today. All over my body, through my hair and face, legs and feet. I uped the antihistamine, had a cold shower and put carb soda on some of them. I know if I go to the Dr. he will put me on cortizone and I want to avoid that if possible. Probably some plant (Gravillias) plus stress are the cause.

June, I hope the steps you have taken help! I have only used topical cortizone and the relief was wonderful! I only had to use it 3 or 4 times over winter for 3 winters. I didn't need it at all this winter. I can't imagine how uncomfortable you are feeling right now!! I think if there is a funeral in the next 6 months you need to be 'sick' that day. I know I would forgive you for not going if it were me...

Heidi, if they ever went to prison they would be out by now. And they don't get killed in our prisons because they have their own wing. We've just had a prison built near here and the procedure for keeping them separate from the general population was described during the tours just before it opened.

This kid will never be rehabilitated. He has been away from those things (can't call them people) for 12 years now and is still a long way from okay.
