Morning all. Coffee is ready, help yourself. Kids had a good time and so did hubby and me. Today is just a nice lazy day. May go walk around a community flea market and then have to do the normal errands. Hope all is well with everyone.

Mamacita, You are going to have to come visit Florida again soon so I can see a picture of Ezra. You must bring one here with you.

I've been out doing some Christmas shopping. We have a Lions Christmas party tomorrow, and I needed to pick up 2 $10 gifts for the exchange. I also picked up some great gifts for our mail carriers. I feel that they go above and beyond the call of duty for us, so they each get nice gifts every year. I do most of my shopping online, and IH gets large amounts of poop in the mail every day.

One of Don and IH's sheep and goat guard dogs has started killing their sheep. It's gotten 3 ewes so far. I've been trying to convince him that he has to get that dog away from his sheep and goats NOW, if not last week. I think he's finally decided to bring it over here and put it in one of my unused kennels until he and Don decide what to do. I'm trying to convince them that there is no place on the planet for a livestock killer, and they need to put it down. If it's killing livestock, it may be dangerous to children as well.

Heidi, glad you are feeling better. I agree about the dog. If it is killing sheep, it will not think twice about a child, or adult. I agree that it needs to be put down. Have fun at the Christmas party. Hope you get a nice gift from the exchange.

House phone (cordless) died today, it got wet this morning (not my fault) Long story. Found corded phone. So I have no answering machine for a few days. Fine by me.

Good Morning to you all.

Not sure if I mentioned it but while the cat's away the mice have been playing! Just putting the finishing touches on Hannah's CLEAN bedroom! Not sure if she is going to be rapt or furious...

It was more a case of it had to be done, and waiting for her to do it was like pulling teeth! Besides, I was running out of mugs and chopsticks! (We found 20 of them in her room...)

Gail, I did it for the same reason and didn't get yelled at. I didn't get a thank you either so I've never quite worked out how she felt about it...

Probably both Heidi!!

Tami, lazy day here too. Two busy days/nights and Alie and I have no energy left. Hubby stayed home and all he did was dig a channel, fix a fence, mow the lawn (our yard is like 15 or 20 yards in one and we don't have a ride on yet) and a few little things like that... Not sure why he thinks he has earned a little play time (minds out of the gutter - computer time)

Guess what? I have my puter back again! Lets just hope it continues to work. there seems to be a short either in the mother board, or in the wiring to the board. Whatever, I am glad it is working now!

I read a couple of pages, forget what I read. Last night I was hurting so badly I was trembling all over, nauseated, just sick with pain. at 6 pm, I took one of everything allowed, plus a hot shower, got into bed at 8 pm, and fell asleep. At 9 pm, hurting again and repeated meds. That time when I went to sleep I stayed asleep till 7 am this morning! I have dozed away the day, feeling a bit better tonight, but will be taking night time medications in a few and getting back to bed. this kind of hurting is for the birds.

Hugs to each of you, with extras.

I finally thought of names for the three female puppies. The white factored sable merle is "Katy". Her full name will be "My Friend's Kodachrome".... I'm keeping her for sure. The other sable merle is "Daisy", for "Painted Daisy". The sable is "Sandy" The male that I named "Gunner" won't be keeping that name. His owner will be here Tuesday morning to visit with him, and I hope to learn his new name then.

Well, I have some great news that I wish had also happened for June and Tricia.
After several days of anguish for all concrened, with Kaitlyn passing out and coughing up blood, they did emergency surgery on her last night. They found that what showed on the MRI as a tumour was actually a cyst which had formed on the scar tissue of her previous op 5 yrs earlier. It had burst in the last few days. She is out of intensive care and raring to go. No chemo to go through. What a relief for her kids, family and friends (and Andrew, and me too to be honest).
I so wish there were more of these stories and less of the sad awful ones!

H folks.
This s going to be a bit of a challenge...my keyboard..as all FB'ers know doesn't like the letter 'i' ... need to copy & paste an 'i'but my patence quckly runs out and you are all left nsertng your own 'eye's...wot fun eh wot??

Julie.. your are a godsend..would have no idea what was happening f t wasn't for your summary's...seem to be running around lke a headless chook of late... so much has happened this year. Have not long arrived home from Tooradn where Lache has been flyng wth our very own flyboy..Had a BBQ lunch down there.. pretty good tmng!

Been gettng a few jobs done around the house.. n the process of guttng the bathroom.. rotten vanity has gone to scrap and the toilet s soon to follow. Has been out of acton for weeks. 'm gong to patch all the holes and cracks, add a lick of pant and a few new tiles and the room will be good for another decade.. the next owner will demolish the house because of the land value.. art-deco bungalows don't fetch top dollar around here.. don't know why because love the era.

Busy n the garden.. putting up barriers to keep dogs out of certain areas.. Currently building a planter box near the back door for herbs and salad stuff.. Next on the too do list are some shade structures /pergolas... summer s coming and the price of electricity wll make me think twice about turning the cooler on..

Wll try to catch up on some back pages. n the meantime remember that you are all thought of often x0x

Back to thoughts on recycling! When we were packing to move to this house, there were a number of items that we felt we no longer needed that were in perfectly good shape. We put them out on the curb earlier than the 7:00 p.m. designated hour so there were still hours of daylight. On top of that, we didn't just pile them randomly, but kind of "displayed them." I remember we had a 4-shelf unit and a small table hubby had made. We put smaller items on the shelves and the table - some vases, a meat slicer, etc. Then we watched cars drive slowly past and sometimes stop to choose something. A little while later, a neighbor came over and asked if she could buy the meat slicer. We were glad to give it to her. When she told us she was planning a garage sale the following week, we told her she could take whatever she wanted and sell it in her garage sale. She was shocked when we told her that she could keep whatever she made by selling the items. One of their daughters and her 3 children were living with them, so I knew the items would either be used or sold and the money put to good use!

Suzy - a perfect idea - a law that no one can sue over any injury associated with "scavenged" items! I also agree with you about stress possibly being associated with some of Heidi's pain. I've thought the same about Theresa's pain, too!

I'm proud of Alie and the girls for giving a full-fledged performance in spite of a noisy and inconsiderate audience! I know how frustrating that kind of environment was when our Ds would play for a wedding reception or award banquet and could hardly hear themselves over the silverware and clinking glasses.

Cello update: feel free to skip! I practice at least once a day. This morning I practice (not sure how long), then practice again after dinner. That time I remembered to check the clock shortly after I started and again when I quit. I had practiced 57 minutes! I can play Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star; French Folk Song; and taught myself Happy Birthday. I also have started to practice a scale. (I know, this is probably NOT interesting, but I'm determined.)

Gail, I hope you have enjoyed your mostly child-free week! How are the travelers doing! Is this Jed's first trip to the U.S.?

Suzy, I love the quote, "If you gave me information instead of attitude there might be a lot less yelling in this house!" Why could I never come up with good ones like that?

MizT, great news about your computer!! I hope that means we will get to see more of you - if your pain improves... gentle hugs.

Cyn, fantastic news!! I'm so happy for all of you. You have to wonder how the doctors felt - were they over the moon with joy or a little disappointed that they didn't get to practice their skills in a complex operation??

Heidi, you get to choose the pure breed name don't you? Even if you lose Gunner.

Hi Julie, you must be enjoying your practice if an hour slips by without you knowing it! I'm so glad you decided to go for it!!

Nobody thought the noise was inconsiderate, this was a dinner dance celebrating the international day for people with a disability and so most of the audience were people with a disability and the night was about them, not the girls. That's why their performance made me so proud!

Terrific TOPP, Gail!

Tami, I'm glad you and your hubby enjoyed dinner while the boys were at the birthday party! I hope your lazy day today was pleasant!

Heidi, I'm glad you were able to get some Christmas shopping done! How very considerate that you remember gifts for the mail carriers! (At first glance - reading too quickly - I thought you were ordering the poop and sending it to IH.) I hope he and Don decided quickly what to do with the guard dog that is killing the sheep! That is NOT a good situation!

I hope the Lions Club Christmas party tomorrow is fun - and you get something MUCH better than poop in the gift exchange!

Gail, I hope Hannah will be appreciative of her clean room! I was also wondering about the chopsticks and mugs! Wow, 15 mugs is more than we own (another of the items we put out on the shelves before we moved). Do you have good chopsticks? We have only had the disposable kind from a restaurant, but I have a few friends who have nice ones.

Suzy, it sounds like you, Alie and your hubby have ALL earned some play time/relaxing time!

HOORAY! MizT has her own computer back and it is working! (At least for now!) I hope that continues! I hope you will feel MUCH better tomorrow! Gentle {{{HUGS}}}!

Heidi, I like your names for the puppies! I hope you're feeling better!

CynB, what WONDERFUL news for Kaitlyn! Welll, not the blood, emergency surgery part, but the fact that it was a cyst, not a tumor! {{{HUGS}}} to everyone involved!

Bean, no wonder you haven't dropped by much recently! Talk about BUSY! Bean, I hope you won't be offended by this suggestion: hold your keyboard upside down and give it some good shakes as you tip it to left and right. Maybe even a gentle tap or two. That's something we do occasionally when the keyboard is "reluctant" to produce what we are trying to type. Occasionally, it can shake loose something that has been lodged between or under a key.

Somehow, it is already after 1 a.m., so I'll be seeing you! In the meantime, here are some positive thoughts and vibes, , prayers and {{{{{HUGS}}}}} for all of you! Sweet dreams!

Cyn, brilliant news!

Julie, yes we have enjoyed the week but I must say I was pleased to get a message from Hannah earlier today saying they would be home later...it's later, I want her home!
Can't wait to see her reaction, both to her room (which has a freshly picked rose in it) and the TAFE letter.

Yes, Suzy.... I can name the puppies on their papers.... if I want to. But I'm not so egotistical that I need to have my kennel name on everything I breed. That's why most of the champions I bred don't have my kennel name on them. For my kennel name, I use the first 2 letters of my married surname followed by my maiden name. (See above post.... Katy's full name has my kennel name.)

I'm up early because Sandy has turned into an escape artist extraordinaire. She's climbing out of the whelping box, then squeezing through the gate blocking the doorway into the sunroom. Twice tonight she got out and stood in my study howling for attention.

Morning all. Coffee is ready, help yourself.

Cyn, good news about Kaitlyn. I am glad surgery was successful and she will be OK.

Heidi, I also like the names of the puppies. They really are cute little puppies and I will enjoy watching them grow up on Skype.

Bean, you have been a busy Bean. When you are done at your place, can you come help at mine?

Julie, glad that you can produce sounds on the cello and that you are practicing. One day you will have to video yourself and post it so we can hear it.

Don't remember much else. See you all later.

Something tells me that Sandy is here for life. At just 4 weeks old, she keeps escaping and now has started searching the house for me once she's loose. Once she finds me, I pick her up and she falls asleep in my arms. Quite the character already.

Dylan told me Wednesday night that he has a science fair project due on Friday. He found out about it in October. Needless to say, it is not being turned in on time. If he gets it in by Tuesday, it can be entered in the science fair. If not, he can still turn it in and will get a grade for it. I called his teacher on Wednesday and we both laughed about it. It is something Mitchell would do. She is the only teacher, so far, to have both of the beastie boys. I am helping Dylan make paper airplanes and we are going to see which one flies farther. I wish Steve was here to help me
