Woo hoo, I rock! The druggies a few doors down were having a very noisy party. It was very annoying but I was letting it go until Dana posted about it keeping her awake - she has to be at work at 4.30 in the morning - that's what happens on the day before Xmas in a fish shop...

I called the police and said I wanted to register a noise complaint. That it was for a really scary house that people don't usually report for that reason but my 7 month pregnant daughter who has to be at work at 4.30 and was very stressed by the noise.

The noise is gone! Now I just have to hope our house doesn't get trashed!!

By the way, it's official, we're booked in that hotel I mentioned Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday after new years. Melbourne here we come!

To the burglars stalking, we have organised a house sitter!!

Suzy, enjoy the few days away and good for you to get a house sitter. Hope Dana was able to get some sleep.

She's still posting on FB Tami, but she has a chance to get to sleep now that the noise has gone.. amazing how quickly they got there - maybe the mention of the pregnant daughter got them there...

LOL, hubby has been checking out all the korean restaurants and taco bell!

People will do almost anything for a baby or a pregnant mommy.

Off I go to the MRI. Wish me luck that they get good, clean pictures.

Good luck Heidi. I really hope they get good pictures, can figure out what is wrong and then fix it for you. I would love for you to be pain free.

I'm back. They said that they got very clear pictures. They should have. I didn't move a muscle, except for breathing, even though the pain got so bad that I nearly passed out. I will get the results on January 2nd.

Heidi, glad they got good pictures. It seems a shame that you have to wait so long but at least you know the end (hopefully) is in sight.

I just had a really nice chat on Skype with Heidi. The puppies are getting sooo big, and soooo cute.

I have friends coming over tonight for a Chanukah party. I have brownies in the oven baked by Mitchell, with my supervision. I also made a chocolate kahlua bundt cake with a chocolate glaze.

I just wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas. I hope it is filled with love and joy, family and friends, good times and lots of fun. and a very, very Happy New Year to all my wonderful sukoku friends.

We are off to the beach today and I need to pack. Of course it's raining!!!! Oh well, there is plenty of family to chat to (and champagne to be drunk).

IH's truck is very sick right now. I'm letting him use mine this evening. I'm glad I unloaded his gift from my truck this afternoon. I don't know how I can wrap it to disguise it (it's a 20" Husqvarna chainsaw) so I'll put a bow on it and pop it under the tree on Christmas eve after he goes to sleep.

With your back Heidi? Anyone want to take bets on how long before he breaks its???

I know, but since he will be the first and only user, he won't be able to claim someone else broke it. This is the best, and most reliable brand I know of. IH won't have any more excuses about being unable to cut up downed trees on the fence.

Hi All...Still under the weather here...and yes, MizT....its that dreaded cold/flu stuff. I was taking extra meds to help heal my hands, and that med, a steroid, has helped keep the breathing at a better level then usual, when I come down with this type of infection, so I don't expect too much trouble from this and am looking forward to a rebound soon.
Heidi, glad the MRI pictures were clear...fingers crossed that a successful treatment will result!

Hope all are feeling well enough to find the joy in the season...with a healthy, sweet new baby and my energetic, loud Earth-Angel being under my roof for this Christmas day, and two of my three grands, plus a visit from my first born and her hubby...as well as a few other special friends and family I will be able to not only count my blessings, but share them as well...!!! What Blessings I have been lucky enough to have in my life makes me feel very fortunate indeed.I wish for you all to feel the same about the blessings in your lives...Don't just count them...share them and rejoice. Peace.

Gail and Judy, hubby is looking longingly at all of the restaurants in downtown Melbourne, starting with Korean and maybe even tacos, I forget the rest but I did say to him 'So we're going to eat for 3 days straight...'

Early, and busy, day tomorrow. I need to get up at dawn to feed the cows , then I need to go to town for a good stock of dog food, then pick up IH at the auto repair place after he drops off his truck. After that, we have to repair a fence, then try again to move the calves out of the horse pasture and pen them up in the feedlot. By that time, my back will be in massive agony, and I'll collapse for the next 5 hours.

I've just uploaded a photo of Alie's latest painting (hint, hint Gail, this is what proud mummy's do... I want to see yours). She gave this to a friend today for Xmas.

So Xmas Eve is going to be kind of busy Heidi?

Still lots to do but the table is set and I have all the food. Presents wrapped but have to still sort clothes and pack case for Melbourne.
I do a bit and then rest my back. That way I do not overdo it and can keep going. Laura has gone home so that Santa can come. She has been doing naughty things that she knows she should not be doing. not sure if it is part of losing her Mother or what! She takes my makeup and hides it, just found she had drawn on the tiles on the bathroom floor. Maybe it was because I was busy and could not give her as much attention?
Just things I did not need at the moment.
