Blushing. I enjoyed doing them and it kept me out of trouble. I think the worst part of it has been the last 13 days... the time it has taken for the parcel to be delivered. I was going to instigate a search for it if it hadn't arrived today as I was told approximately 5 days for it to be delivered. I know Suzy has been waiting since last wednesday which was the day I expected it to be delivered.

Brenda, you are a legend! What a sweet, wonderful thing you thought of, even before Dana was back with the ones who love her.

Morning all. Coffee is ready, help yourself.
Brenda, that was wonderful and extremely thoughtful for you to make stuff for Dana's baby.

Suzy, maybe after going through labor Dana will appreciate all you have done for her. Nothing like becoming a mom to learn to appreciate your own mom.

Heidi, I don't count the days. It is part of the calender. It is a "big deal" in elementary school. They usually have some kind of celebration. When I had my two free shopping trips I managed to get two boxes of 100 day pencils. I sent them in to Dylan's teacher (who I adore). The class made me a giant card thanking me for the pencils.

Morning friends, boy did I sleep better last night. I do think the chiropractor appointment was worth the price of admission! It was soo funny, after taking night time medications, I fell asleep in my chair. About 3 am, I wake to find a kitty in my face, paw on my lips, looking straight at me. "Mom, are you OK?" expression. Not accustomed to seeing me sleep that long, that soundly I imagine. We went to the bedroom, where I slept till 8 am.

When I was looking at the containers in preparation of planting the pansies, I found mint alive. I thought I had killed it off last fall, lack of water and such. But it has resurrected, think with some TLC I shall have a healthy pot of mint soon. Should have known, mint is hard to kill off.

Brenda, what a wonderful gift for Dana's little one! That was so thoughtful of you. I am glad the package arrived safely, if a bit late. Seems SA packages have a way of doing that, right Mama?

Tami, what a neat gift for Dylan's class, I am glad they enjoyed the "100 days" pencils.

Well, the other comments are back a page, and I have forgotten what I wanted to comment on. My excuse is I have not had my coffee, must wait the hour after stomach meds before eating or drinking. I did not even think of them at 3 am when awake. Longest hour of the day, when I must wait, awake, for my coffee hehehe.

Hugs to each of you, and know I thought about you lovingly. Till later.

Morning all. Only 4 pages behind in reading, so I hope to do that now. Know that I am thinking of you all as I am reading and wish only the best for you.

MIL was moved to a different facility yesterday. Turns out it's the same continuing care facility, just a different location. The new location has a rehab section that is more suitable for MIL. They hope to get her mobile again.

Brenda.... You are an amazing and wonderful lady!!! Your generosity is an example for all of us to live up to. I wish I was on Facebook right now (NO, I'm NOT joining) so I could see the pictures. You have also shown Dana what real friends are like.

Looks like I may have got rid of that Security Shield from my computer. We have removed everything that has been added to the computer since Christmas. I am still on Hubby's computer as it is fast and mine is sooooo slooooooow at the moment. Sharon had got quotes on getting me a new one but when she kept ringing the chap he was not returning her calls and then it was too late. I must get in and remove a lot of things now and then I think it can be replaced. I hate slow.
Theresa, so glad that what was done for your MIL was for the best.
Suzy all the gifts from UK sound lovely. Have not ventured to FB to see them.

Dylan went on a field trip today. His class went to the local garbage dump and then for a picnic in a local park. He said it was the smelliest field trip he ever went on.

Gail, wouldn't that be wonderful!! I remember rumblings that Oz is in the future somewhere.. ..

Tami, high school students here go on a field trip to the sewerage treatment plant.. Our garbage dump doesn't seem to smell much as it is covered in a layer of soil by the end of each day.

MizT, I'm glad you are feeling a little better. I don't know if I'd have the discipline to wait an hour before coffee, though I am a bit better about that now I'm smoke free. Aaaawwww, good kittie! He loves you!

Theresa, I hope they are able to get your MIL moving again. Is there still hope she will come home.

Heidi, I hope all feeling is back in your mouth soon...

Hello, Everyone! Shockingly, I am here before 10 p.m. (Of course, I haven't even opened email yet, so I'll have something to do after I finish here.)

Brenda, on behalf of all of us in SA who don't have a creative bone in our body, thank you for the wonderful gifts you have showered upon Dana! What a generous and sweet thing to do! You are extraordinary!

Heidi, if the money for the phone/internet bill will be coming from your pocket, the company should have the decency to provide a copy of the bill to you, preferably through an online connection or an email directly to you!

Rolanda, continuing to send positive thoughts for your Mum! If only there were something that could be done to speed the process! {{{HUGS}}}

Suzy, thinking of Dana - and you, since you will be her "coach" through delivery! The thought of having a low pain threshold combined with labor and delivery is not a pleasant one. Here's hoping plans are in place!

I'm gonna have a very busy day tomorrow. I have to do a meds pick up first thing in the morning (1 hour north, each way), pick up Robert (he's without transportation right now), fill up the tractor, and have Robert start hauling the rest of the purchased hay (55 rolls left to be hauled from 20 minutes away... 6 at a time) while I load up Don's tractor and take it to be serviced (1 hour south, each way). Once I get back, we can use the truck and 16 ft. trailer to haul hay as well.

Great TOPP, Brenda! You must have been on pins and needles, as was Suzy, as I remember her comment about checking the mail on Saturday, which is apparently NOT delivery day in Oz. Your post explains a lot!

Gail, I love your thinking! A great way to entice Brenda to visit!

Tami, during my last few years in the elementary school before I was moved to the middle school, the kindergarten and possibly first through third grades celebrated 100 days. That was the first I had heard of it. Now there are a number of children's books that deal with the 100-day celebration. I believe it became popular as a way for children to begin to understand what "100" means. I forgot to check with my D to see if grandie#1's kindergarten class celebrated. How thoughtful of you to get the 100 days pencils for Dylan's class! Were there 100 of them?

Tricia, I'm SO glad you slept better! Scooter must have been a bit confused by your sleeping so long and late in the chair. Did she accompany you to bed? It's good to know that the chiropractor provided some pain relief for you! Enjoy the mint along with your pansies! You have a great start on the growing season!

Theresa, I'm glad you were able to pop in and hopefully do some catching up! What wonderful news that your MIL was moved to a "sister facility" that could provide some rehab for her. Aren't you glad that your hubby hadn't fired off a letter prior to finding this out? Hopefully the new placement will encourage some improvement in your MIL's mobility! Remember to pop in whenever you can and comment, even if you don't have time to read!

Heidi, did you see that Suzy posted pictures? I hope your dentist appointment went well. All we know so far is that your tongue is numb! I hope all of your current dental problems have been taken care of now! I hope by now your mouth feels more normal and you were able to have some dinner without biting the inside of your mouth or your tongue!

June, I'm so glad you have been able to remove that security shield that wanted you to pay for unneeded security! I agree about slow connections - computers become obsolete so quickly and pick up so much that slow them down.

Ugh, Tami, a field trip to a garbage dump. Yes, very educational, but I'd want to have nose plugs. Then to follow that by a picnic lunch in a park (hopefully a good distance from the garbage dump)!

Yikes, Heidi, just read that your tongue is still numb. Your dentist really didn't want you to feel what she was doing today! Busy day ahead for you tomorrow, and lots of miles to be put on your truck and tractors. I hope the weather cooperates and you're able to get all of it done! Drive safely and be careful!

The reason my tongue is still numb is that when they tried to give me the shot of novocain, they hit a major nerve. It was like getting an electric jolt in my mouth (especially the tongue). For the first time in my life, I actually jumped and screamed uncontrollably in the chair. Everybody in the place ran up to see what had happened. My heart was racing for 10 minutes afterwards. They told me that when that happens, the patient stays numb for a very long time. The ridiculous part is that once I was numb, it took only 10 minutes to drill out the decay and put in the filling. That was 8 hours ago. The tongue is still completely numb. It's a weird feeling.

Hello everyone ... checking in again, as per instructions!
Heidi, hope your mouth is alright - that sounds very nasty!
Nothing much happening here - went up country with my sister, to do more clean up work at Mum's ... we're gettting there! The problem will be deciding what to do once it's all finished - seems there are some "not too honest" people in the housing trade ... hard to believe that .... !
Hope you're all doing well ... talk to you again soon. :)

Heidi I hope you have the feeling back in your tongue now. The same thing happened to my son a few years ago and it took ages to get the feeling back, it also put him off going to the dentist for a while.
Judy hope you don't have too much more cleaning to do at your mum's and that you find an honest person in the housing trade, there has to be one out there somewhere.
June have you tried changing your virus protection, there are a few very good free ones out there... I use avast (the free version) Richard uses a microsoft one which is free too. Not sure which browser you use but I had to change mine and now use Google chrome which is so much faster than the rest.

Missed your comment Brenda. When I saw the comments about the photos being hard to get off your phone I got Dana to pull them out so we could get a photo for you.

For those who asked - I was told I was small and Dana was 6lb2oz born, but I have no idea if I was as small as Dana is. Hubby 'can't remember' so I don't think I was.

Morning all. Coffee is ready, help yourself.

Just looked at the pictures on Suzy's page. The sweaters are beautiful. Brenda did amazing work. Makes me want to learn to knit.

I was 11 days early and weighed 6 lb 12 oz. My brother was a little smaller. I had big babies. Mitchell was 5 days late and was 9 lb 2 oz. Dylan was nicer to me. He was 8 days early and was 8 lb 4 oz.

I was 7 lbs 12 oz.

Believe it or not, the tongue is STILL numb!

Mother Nature decided to change my schedule today. Overnight, she laid down a nice coating of snow, slush and rain. There's no way I can haul the tractor (Don's) to the dealership, and the ground is way too soft now to move hay without tearing up the hay field horrendously. The only thing I can do today is go for the meds pick-up.... later today when the roads are in better shape.
