I said to Alie:
Xfactor have just posted that they are starting auditions for next season - just sayin'.

Her answer: I don't want to because they'll make me change my hair.

MizT, hope you have had a better day..

June, I'm so glad you had a mess to clean up. Sometimes the 'little' things make all the difference in the world.

Tami, I love the Mitvah day idea. What a great way to spend the day.

Heidi, I wish you some cold cold temperatures before the calves are born...

Gekko my friends.
Worked today, and looks like work is picking up, will probably get more hours than I want. After my vent the other day, realised I was being a bit unrealistic that I am still learning but they could have grouped the worked together a bit better for me. So back on an even keel.
Zusy, not sure if Heidi wants cold with wet, won't that turn it into slippery ice?
MizT, you are a legend girl, just make sure you do not overdo it. Gently, Bentley.
Alie, nothing wrong with a new hairdo, you can always change it back in a couple of weeks. Mine is getting longer and going to be beautified on Friday.
Love and Hugs to you all, and thought of you who I did not mention.

Broni, glad to hear you are getting more work. I think Heidi needs the mud to freeze before the calves are born so they don't get trapped... I could have it all mixed up of course.

Tami, I wish we could watch it the way it is supposed to be seen. With the ads, half time show, puppy bowl etc. Do they still do the bud bowl? I miss complaining about it and secretly enjoying it...

OMG!! My little home town made it into the LA Times! Only as a footnote, but the word is still there! And this time not for a crime..

Just re-read the obituary and it got it wrong!! We are south of Sydney not north! Journalists should be forced to study Geography...

Good morning. Had a good nights sleep. Even the cat did not come and wake me up. Bowls today and as the President and vice are both away I have to do all the announcements etc. At least it should not be too hot. Just hope it does not rain.
Someone suggested I download "The Help" onto my Kindle. Probably not a topic I would have picked but I am really enjoying it.

Yesterday and today, when out and about, I saw lots of signs of spring. Forsythia (yellow bells) Flowering quince, daffodils and saucer magnolia (tulip trees) were all in bloom. Pastures were turning green. I mentioned the frogs making lots of noise the other night didn't I? It is too early for this by at least 3 or 4 weeks. I do remember one early spring I planted tender annuals by Valentines' Day, but that is rare indeed.

I could not resist. I missed buying and panting pansies for fall/winter this year. but found some on sale for early spring. I have bright purple blooms on the back porch now. Pansies are not bothered by cold weather, I have in the past had them blooming in a container caked in ice. they just like a southern exposure and do nicely in the all day sun. I actually got them planted this morning, warm enough outside in the sun to dig in the dirt, OK, it was dirt in containers, but it is still dirt hehehe.

I went to chiropractor this morning, to see if he could help with this all over pain I am having. He did a good job on upper back and ribs, pain gone there, hope the rest diminishes as the day goes by.

Suzy, did you break the site? I have been looking for a new post, and yours has been the last one for hours.

Broni, hope the work thing evens out for you, just enough hours, and scattered about just right.

At last I have my tree down. Joy got the boxes for the decorations, when she was here last. today I walked out to the storage building, found the box for the tree, easy to get to it, so I could bring it in. I think she is coming over tonight, so perhaps she can take out the tree, box that is full is heavier than empty, DUH, and take out the box that the tree sits on, for height.

More later, it is lunch time now. Hugs to each of you, with extras.

I'm back! IH did it again.... he didn't pay the phone/internet bill and the service was turned off. Again. I drove to their office and set up an automatic payment for it. This won't happen again.

Zusy.... You got it right. I want the mud to freeze. That's faster than slowly drying out. We're not supposed to get any rain this week, and it isn't supposed to get below freezing until my birthday.

Hi All,
Heidi, Gil most likely thinks "what took her so long setting this up so she will pay it?"
Tricia...you sound better and better each day...good onya.
Suzy, I'm with Broni...Allie can always do her hair over after the auditions...hope she thinks about it again...she has the talent to go all the way.
June, glad the weather is cooler and hope you have a great day at the bowls.
Have a great da/night all. Peace.

I'm not going to tell him for a while. The auto payment won't kick in until after the next billing period. I plan on yelling at him tonight, and he'll pay the next bill. He'll neglect the following payment, and that's the one that'll be paid automatically.

Hi all,
Dana is over the moon. We just received a package via Royal Mail and she is in love with the contents. She asked if it is her or the child who is spoiled. I said her.

Very fine rain but a break so that we played 14 ends (normally 21) We were level at that stage. Anyway we all chatted and had a very social day.

Heidi, all the school calendars have info like that on them. They like to torture teachers.

June, sounds like fun.

MizT, good for you buying your pansies!

Weird stuff is happening with Dana. Wish I could feel what she is feeling so I'd know if it was labour. She has no idea! I suspect a false alarm, but you never know...

Maybe the baby is changing position. Or hormones are changing in preparation for parturition. Or maybe I haven't a clue.

Pretty strong for Braxton Hicks, which she has been getting for months. And the baby changes position about 50 times a day - this is something new. If the pains weren't too far apart I'd say she was either in advanced labour with a few minutes to go, or she has a super low pain threshold.

If she has a super low pain threshold, labor is going to be quite the experience. Remind her that this is what happens from unprotected s*x.

Everybody!

Suzy, a girl needs to have her priorities! Apparently hair is one of them for Alie! Maybe she just doesn't feel ready for that big a competition yet.

Broni, I'm so glad work is picking up for you! I hope you get just the right amount on the days you want to work! Maybe you just needed to vent to get things to pick up.

Tami, I'm so glad all three of your guys were cheering for the same team - and all are happy with the outcome.

Suzy, I found the name of your town in the obituary. Too bad the geography was wrong.

June, hooray for a good night's sleep - and for a relaxing and social day at bowls! Here's hoping the rest of your week is as pleasant!

MizT, I hope all of the signs of spring are right and you don't get a hard freeze to spoil it! So glad you found some pansies to plant in a container or two! Cheers for the chiropractor who has helped bring you relief for at least part of the pain! Good for you for getting your Christmas tree taken down - and waiting for help to get the full box back out to the dome! I hope Joy's tooth is feeling better!

Heidi, I can't imagine how aggravating it is for you to have IH continually "forget" to pay bills! The automatic payment sounds like a plan! Here's hoping you get a hard freeze so you don't need to deal with all the mud when the calving starts.

Suzy, are you the one spoiling Dana! I hope she is feeling better - or at least able to pinpoint what exactly is going on. Good luck and fingers crossed that I won't win the "contest!"

Heidi, you've said what I was thinking.

I'm about to head to bed, so Heidi is having a late night. With luck, I'll be in bed by 12:30 (11 minutes from now).

Positive thoughts, healing vibes, prayers, and {{{{{{HUGS}}}}}} for all!

Julie, the frustrating thing about the phone/internet bill is that IH never lets me see it. He's hidden it ever since I confronted him about some phone calls that were unacceptable. He will continue hiding the statement from me, and the money will be coming out of my pocket, but at least the service won't be turned off every other month. I may do the same thing with the electric bill.

Heidi, if you had the same system as here that would be easy to fix. Pretty much everywhere prefers to email bills here. A quick phone call and it would be in your inbox every month.

Not sure who you are talking about in the GB.
Hope Dana is ok and not in labour yet. I think she probably has a low pain thresh hold and is going to be in for a huge shock when labour does kick in properly. Hope she has talked about pain management with her Dr.

Dana is still home and every now and then groaning and moaning. I think labour is going to be tough... but not today. I hope. I'm hoping the gas is enough, but so far it's not looking good.

And we are talking about you Brenda! The baby things are extraordinary. I think Dana wanted a duplicate set in her size... And no, that's not a hint!

There is a poncho with bobbles on it, three cardigans in different (and multiple) colours, with matching caps and mittens... gorgeous! Dana loved all of the different buttons. And the amazing blanket that was shown on facebook. Hubby and Dana were having bets on how that one was made and I was able to tell them they were both wrong because I saw the in-process photo. There was even a hooded towel that will keep her snuggly warm after baths.

See what I mean, I live in a house of spoiled brats (spoiled grandma, spoiled mum and spoiled baby)
