Thank you all my special friends here on SA.. for the Condolence Messages, the beautiful Flowers, and the support and love you have shown me not only in the last couple of weeks, but over the last few years, with her declining health issues, Mum's age finally caught up with her

Hi all. Just stopping in for a moment. Sorry I didn't bring coffee this morning, someone broke the site and I couldn't get on. I promise, I will bring an extra big pot of coffee in the morning.

I was just asked if we could be on the county Leadership Farm Tour again this year. It'll be April 3rd. That's nearly 4 weeks lead time, so I agreed. Last year, I wasn't told until a couple days before, and I was bedridden from an epidural earlier in the day, and had only gotten home from the hospital an hour before the tour. This time, the epidural will be a week before the tour.

Out to do a cow check in the mud. Fortunately, the cows are smart enough to stick to the drier areas, but I have to trudge through the mud to get there. At least we're just past halfway through the calving season already.

RAIN, again. Just starting an all night, soaking rain. hope it stays just a soaking rain, and no thunder, flash flooding, all that nasty stuff.

I just did too much the last 3 days. Cannot get comfy for going to sleep tonight. this cold front with the rain adds to the insult to my body, it does not like suh weather changes, it does not like all the moving, lifting, sorting I have done. BIL took another trailer load of junk to the dump today, got all the stuff roger and i pulled from that one storage building. Still one bit of that to finish going through, but not for a few days. I need to rest. No rest tomorrow, must go to wal mart and get my phone reactivated, Saturday is food bank and grocery store, Sunday is a day of rest???

heidi, glad the farm tour is at a more convenient time this year. i am correct in assuming it is an honor to be asked??

Cyn, happy traveling, hope you have a fun and safe trip0.

Rolanda, so many of us have lost our Moms, so if you need an ear, a hug, just sommeone who understands, just let us know. You know how I got through those first days? I woke up every morning and said " good morning Mom". OH, the other day when sister and i went to EP for the tour, sis wore Mom's watch, A bit fancy for any of us girls tastes, but she said she decided Mom would like to come inspect the place with us, so she brought her along (in her watch hehe)

Going to hold down my reliner and see if I can fall asleep there again. I had a short nap earlier this afternoon there, sometimes chair is better with my back than the bed is.

Hugs to each of you, with extras.

Rain rain, go away, come again another day, Tricia has to drive tomorrow and does not like driving in the rain!

Howdy, Neighbors!

Tricia, I hope Scooter didn't mind being in the dome by herself. How long did you stay there?

Suzanne, I hope you have many pleasant hours in your former office/current craft room!

Heidi, wish the rain would have missed you this time! I'm not sure which is worse, IH leaving your mail in the mailbox (at least you know where it is and can get it when you want to) or picking it up and taking it with him to the plant. I suppose that contributes to bills not being paid on time.

Tricia, I can't imagine how much you have to do if your BIL is overwhelmed by it. I'm glad you know when your body has had enough and needs a break! Seems like you have enough to keep you busy for a while (which is also true of our house)! One of these days (I think) we are REALLY going to get started on the many boxes in the basement.

Cyn, I'm getting excited (probably not as excited as you are) about your trip! I hope it is everything you hope it will be - and more! Have a wonderful holiday!

Suzy, thinking of you and hoping you and your brother are having an opportunity to share lots of thoughts with your Mum! I hope she is doing as well as can be expected! Have you been able to share lots of photos of your girls and baby Natahlia with her?

Brenda, what a great TOPP! I, too, wish Cyn a wonderful trip and a great meet-up with the Melbournites! Please share {{HUGS}} all around!

Rolanda, I hope the summer soon leaves you and you have an opportunity to enjoy milder autumn temperatures.

Heidi, I also am guessing that being asked to be on the Leadership Farm Tour is an honor! I hope everything works out well this year! Will the spring calving be finished by then?

Tricia, I had wondered if you might be over-doing this week. I hope you find a comfortable position and get a good night's sleep tonight! Have a safe trip running errands tomorrow and Saturday. I hope you will have time to do something fun for you! Take care!

Gail, thank you (and Kate) for meeting up with Suzy for lunch! I'm sure it helped to buoy her spirits and give her a few moments of pleasure amidst all she's going through!

Thinking of all those who have posted recently and all those who haven't! Please share these positive thoughts, healing vibes, {{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}, and prayers. Hoping for an early (for me) night tonight! Sleep well when it's your time!

No new calves tonight, but a whole lot of mud to wade through. I'm glad I have good and comfy muck boots.

Good Evening everyone!

Cyn, I hope you and Col have a wonderful time. Say "Hi" to all our Melbourne friends. I wish I could be with you. We'll look forward to hearing about your trip when you get time. Remember to relax and just enjoy yourselves.

Gail and Kate - Thank you for visiting Suzy.

Rolanda, that's great news about the land and new house. Woo Hoo it's beginning.

Niece and her partner are here tonight visiting with the boys. Luckily we bought 2kg of prawns today so there was plenty to go around.

Footy is on so I'm out of here. Have a great night/day all!

Morning all. Coffee is ready, help yourself. I made an extra big pot to make up for not bringing any yesterday. Today is the last day of school and then I am off for a week for spring break.

Thank you Gail and Kate for giving Suzy the hugs we all want to give her. We may not be there physically, but we are there in spirit.

Gotta run, see you all later.

Just calling in quickly before i close down and pack up the laptop. Most of the other packing done, just last minute things like toiletries etc. in the morning. Thanks for the good wishes.
Gail - glad you and Kate got to see Suzy - probably cheered her up seeing you.
As well as Melbournites, I've also heard them referred to as Melbournians. You say tomato, I say tomato etc.
Rolanda - happy you finally settled on the land, hope the next leg goes smoothly. And that the weather cools down. Been very humid here today, temps only high 20's but oh so steamy.

Oh, guess what, Colin has shingles!! Can you believe it??
For those meeting us on Sunday, don't freak out, the affected area is on his hip around to his spine. And he practices good hygeine, so his hands will be clean and germ free.
He's on medication, feeling a bit sore and now has an explanation for the way he was feeling before the lesions showed up.

Morning friends, rain has gone, leaving behind a cloudy, damp windy chilly day. It did rain all night. It is strange today, being alone after having someone here the last 3 days. But I do need an alone day to rest, except for one errand to run today.

Tami, thanks for the coffee, may I have a refill?

Heidi, I think that is a funny word also.

Cyn, hope the trip is wonderful, looking forward to 'on the road' reports from you.

Heidi, any chance for the pastures to dry some before the next rains appear?

OK, ffuts to do today, can't do it sitting here. Hugs to each of you, with extras. till later.

Another lovely sunny day. I have Laura and my DIL from Melbourne and her friend (They have a school reunion) so it is a busy day.
Do not do too much Tricia. I know I have to pace myself or my back aches.
Gail so pleased you were able to visit Suzy. it must be terrible for her. I do hope her mother is coping after the operation.
Suzy, loving thoughts and prayers to you.My heart goes out to you as I do understand.

Got a little done today, but not much. Back is getting sore quickly. It says it's time for another epidural, but I've got 2 weeks or so to go. Meanwhile, Robert and I have a lot of fencing to do. We're replacing all the fence around the horse pasture (8 acres) with a non-electrified fence. I want to have it done before the tour.

I now have room to set up the new extra large bird cage for the finches other than the Gouldians. Those are: (Zebra Finch) (Bronze-Winged Mannikins) (Spice Finches) (Canaries) and the Forbes Parrot Finches (avatar). I've had the new cage for a while, but have been waiting for all of the new perches and nests to arrive before I set it up. It's so big that I have to attach the perches to the individual sections before assembly. I would like to add another variety of Parrot Finch later on.... probably the Red Faced.

Just had another bull calf born, and a first time heifer is in early labor. She's really restless so I need to leave her alone for a bit. Then I need to go back out in 2 hours to check her again. So much for sleep tonight. And my back is KILLING me!
