Gail, sounds like you had a lovely time at the taping of the show. sorry your friend did not win anything at all.

Suzy, glad the social worker helped you find things to ake you more comfortable. a good free cup of coffee can do wonders. now, just where had your Mom gone shopping? there are shops within the hospital? I am glad she got to do something distracting for a bit, I applaud anything for some enjoyment for her these days. Hope you can get reimbursed for a large portion of your travel expenses.

We had a frost this morning, but will warm to spring like temps today with lots of sun, yeah.

my coffee is ready, I shall return sometime later today. hugs to each of you with extras.

Suzy.... I'm SO glad that the Social Worker helped you. I am surprised that you had to go in search of a loo, tho'. Don't they have loos in each room? The patients shouldn't have to go on treks to use 'em.

Tami said it perfectly. Please don't worry about commenting on our posts. You have more than enough to worry about already.

Off to do a cow check before heading out to see the dentist about the numb tongue. IH usually does the first morning cow check, but I had an IH-free night, with him at his plant for a couple of days.

Good Maen everyone!
TTT: Thanks for the coffee (as always!!)
Julie: As far as I know, Darrell has accepted the transfer and position that comes with it. As far as his current job goes, it is a lateral transfer (same title, responsibilities, etc.) We will be reimbursed for moving costs. Just not sure what is there in Pueblo, Colorado. Going there in a couple of weeks to check it out. I'd rather KNOW we had a specific time frame, but that is up in the air. Manny is doing better, thanks!
Suzy: Continued prayers & Hugs to you & your family.
I was going to comment more about the posts, but I need more coffee to get me going!
Take care all. Love & Hugs to all with extras!!

Had a nice new bull calf born this morning, out of a first-time heifer. I tagged him before going to the dentist's.
The dentist took x-rays (no charge) and they showed that the nerve was not severed, at least. It did show inflammation around the main nerve to the tongue. She told me to take anti-inflammatories, and give it time. She had other options, such as consulting an oral surgeon, but we decided that was pointless. I still have a long time to go to approach the numbness record.

Heidi, your cows are going to make you a very proud mama..lol... congratulations on the new additions, both calves and birds..hope all have
settled in nicely.
June and Rolanda....glad you are both back home safely.

Broni...you are the boat fixer upper lady, but take time to care for yourself too...
Bean...hope you are feeling better with weather a little easier to deal with....how are your beautiful pups?
Suzanne, I don't envy your prospective relocation, but wishing you the best with a chore I dislike....packing up a home again so soon after the last move...oh well, some see the adventure and not the difficult work..hope you are one of those and enjoy the challenge.
Julie...you call others busy, but you are one of those who are always doing something...lol...How are you coming along with the cello??? About ready for your debut...I for one am looking forward to a nice video of you playing some beautiful selected music soon.
Tami, Do your computer classes keep the interest of the kids with the work sheets or do they get to play some type of games when they complete required assignments? When I was teaching, we were all jealous of the computer teacher because even our problem kids enjoyed the rewards of using the computer for fun activities once required work was done, and she had very few problems.
Hey Tricia... have I got a good book for you to try and get a hold of... its called ' The Hangman's Daughter..by Oliver Potzsch..Its a Historical Novel, set in the 1600's and is about forbidden love, witchcraft, murder, and is simply captivating...I've had it on my ereader for months and keep skipping it since I didn't know the author, but finally decided to try it...and I can hardly put it down...I'm really enjoying it...hope you and others will check it out
I'm off to do some more reading... have a great day one and all. Peace.
Suzie...I'm keeping you and yours in my prayers...you are dealing so well, but I know its not easy..
Hugs for all are hear for the taking..I'm outofhere....♥

Suzy - thanks for the update and like Tami said don't worry about answering us just do what you have to do and let us know when you have a chance. I hope today gives you some answers. {{{hugs}}}
June - glad you made it down there and back with all the flooding.
Heidi - there probably was a bathroom/toilet for the patients in each room but not to be used by visitors.
Gail - glad you enjoyed your TV experience. Is that the Eddie Everywhere show? My first hubby used to work in TV so I've been to lots of tapings in the late 60's/early 70's. June - I would love to have seen a taping of Blankety Blanks.

I'm beginning to think that postcards are rarer than turkey teeth here in KY. I have only found ONE postcard for sale anywhere, and it was bloody ugly. Now I'm getting stubborn about this. I WILL succeed!!! The search continues.........

Heidi, I've found here that they only sell them in the 'touristy' areas - and Redlands, although bayside, isn't really a tourist mecca (good, it's our little secret). Where is 'touristy' in your area/state? That's where you'll find postcards.

We have 2 National Historical Sites in the county. Abraham Lincoln's Birthplace and Abraham Lincoln's Boyhood Home. I've never visited either. We're also down the road from Mammoth Cave. I've never been there, either. I'm not a touristy kind of person. There are no postcards in the vicinity of the Lincoln sites, but maybe in their gift shops. I will look at some of these places tomorrow.

Roger came down as promised, an we spent almost 2 hours sorting stuff in the small storage barn. biggest pile is yard sale, things i would throw away rog says SELL IT, people will buy anything at a yard sale if it is cheap enough. I do have a big pile of junk to be taken off, hope my BIL can come down this week with his trailer and do a land fill run. Some of the things my dear hubby saved, Roger would just say, well he had the pack rat gene, it ran in the family hehehe.

Came in for a well deserved nap, and was sleeping so soundly I was deep in dream when something nearby went BOOOOM! large enough it shook the house. I do not see any smoke about, so whatever it was did not start a fire that i can see or smell. have no idea. First i thought about was "who is cooking meth?" Meth labs often blow up like that.

We went through over half the stuff in the storage building. some heavy things to move now, and that is what got to me and said no more today. I do not need to get back hurting so much I cannot get it functioning again. We can start again tomorrow, roger is staying the night.

Busy day. Started at the Doctor as I have a trigger thumb. The tendon has come out of the sheath. It 'clicks' when I bend it and is very sore. He will give me an injection next Monday.
Then to finish the peripheral eye test I started last week.My eyes were too tired after the right one was tested and I was not able to do the left eye. Test was OK so no glaucoma. A bit of shopping, then saw my neighbour who was trying to get a disable sticker for her very sick husband (cancer). She had just found out that he had to be at the RTA for her to get it. Even though she had all the Doctors certificate etc. I put them both in my car and put in the wheel chair and took them back to the shopping centre. He had only just come out of hospital a couple of days ago.

Greetings, Fellow Sudokuaholics! Another day has flown by, with not enough to show for it. And yet, I have been busy all day. (Well, we have more of the paperwork nearly ready for tax preparation. Also got to two local grocery stores. Unfortunately, didn't get to the bank, as I was waiting for an important phone call. It's so frustrating to need to rely on other people sometimes.

Vicki, sometimes having nothing much happening is good! I hope you get your wish for less rain and humidity!

Gail, what a fun day to watch the taping of the show. Too bad your friend didn't come away with money, but at least it was a pleasant experience! How did you do in the pretend game of "beat the buzzer?" So glad you also had time to spend with your friend and do some catching up!

June, I'm glad the car delivery and return trip went well! Did you at least get to spend a day or two before the flight home?

Suzy, by now the surgery may be over, but I'm still reading on page 360. I hope all went well! Sounds like the social work was a great help in letting you now some of the "ins and outs" that make your time there with your Mum a bit easier! I hope the talk with the doctor was enlightening. Suzy, please don't worry about responding to each of us or anything we say. We appreciate a pop in with an update from you, but don't expect you to be able to keep up in the way you would at home!

Afternoon all,
Good news today. The brain tumour has been removed along with a bonus blood clot we didn't know about. The doc says he got it all and in recovery she was already squeezing his hand.

We saw her for a few minutes and she knew it was us. We left because it was rest period and we'll call later to see how she is.

She will be released either over the weekend or Monday, probably depending on how she gets home.

All of your thoughts must have helped!

Hoping for safe weather conditions to continue for MizT and Heidi!

Suzanne, all the best as you prepare for a move. It's always easier if you know when it's going to happen so the packing is done on time.

Hooray, Heidi has another new bull calf! Wonderful news this year! Great news that the nerve wasn't severed! I hope the anti-inflammatories will improve the numbness - well, actually, remove it so that you once again know you have a tongue and know where it is in your mouth.

Cyn, I would almost think that you're excited about your upcoming trip! Great suggestion to Heidi for finding post cards!

Rolanda, I hope you at least found some bargains while grocery shopping. Otherwise, it's not a very exciting task, at least for me.

Tami, do you have plans for spring break? Will the Beastie Boys have baseball? I hope you will at least have a chance to relax a bit!

MizT, you have had another productive day! I'm so glad you listen to your back and know when to stop! There's always another day! Good for Roger coming to help, as promised!

June, I see you have also had a busy day. Too bad about the trigger thumb, but good news about your eyes! What a great neighbor you are to help out with getting the handicap sticker!

Mama, I think hubby used his phone to "capture" a bit of my cello lesson last week with the piano accompaniment, but not sure. He also took a picture or two at the cello festival. (I was the only adult, other than teachers, who was playing.) I am studying using the "Suzuki" method, so the songs I have been learning are, for the most part, children's songs: Twinkle, Lightly Row, Go Tell Aunt Rhody, Oh Come Little Children, plus some "songs" or "studies" that Dr. Suzuki wrote. Last week I started on a piece called Etude, which my teacher said is the hardest in Book 1 (and I definitely agree, at least so far). I know the notes, but there are a lot of string crossings and large stretches for me, and I can't play it anywhere near the right tempo. After that, comes The Happy Farmer and 2 Bach Minuets. (What I'm getting at is that I really haven't learned anything very exciting to hear.)

I'm about to hit the hay, as we have an early morning tomorrow, as well as a late night and gone much of the day. Positive thoughts, healing vibes, prayers, and {{{{{HUGS}}}}} are here for the taking. Good Night, All!
