IH will not be home tomorrow, so he won't be around when the new seniors arrive. He probably won't notice Izzy, but he will notice Sugar.

Nite all. I am tucking this little angel into bed and watching some tv. That always puts me to sleep quickly for some reason. See you all in the morning.

good night Tami.

heidi, happy for you that all the hay has been moved. I know you feel good about being able to produce your own hay for next year. it would be hard to listen to your friend rant and rave about her daughter. Try to remember that a lot of that may be her illness talking.

Rolanda, you sound just a bit excited about your son coming home. Remind me, son #1 or #2? I cannot remember, brain has holes in it and important things fall out.

Suzy, i wish we had a LIKE button also. I need to get over and read on that site a bit later tonight.

Sugar is the white collie?? I guess she would stand out in a crowd of sables. I did not know there were white collies, either. I learn a lot hanging around you.

Again today I fell asleep in my chair after lunch, I mean a really sound sleep. My cell phone was on the table beside me. My phone ring is loud, the old fashioned telephone kind of ring. Joy phoned me right soon after i fell asleep and I never heard a sound, slept for an hour and half after the call. Can't blame it on pain medication either, it had been 6 hours.

Daughter has put in an offer on a condo. Everyone cross fingers and hold good thoughts that they take the offer or make a reasonable counter offer. This is the first home to fit all the things she wanted, plus the things she wanted for helping me. Laundry on the bedroom/bathroom level, separate shower, a garage for her with room for my deep freeze, walk in (from second floor) storage room over the garage, and a back yard small enough to be low maintenance but large enough to hold my storage building. We will share the freezer and storage building space. Sidewalks, walking trails, a lake for fishing, tennis and a pool. It is close to interstate to be convenient, but far enough away not to be noise pollution. She asked the seller for a decision by tomorrow.

My home phone is still out, I am using up minutes on my cell and do not know how many I have left. I did not reset the counter for second month, bummer. I did find out how to turn on speaker phone. helps me hear those voises I find difficult, and helps my hand not holding the phone to ear.

Wednesday or thursday I need to go to wal mart, re-up my phone minutes, and get a couple flowers for deck. I want a couple WAVE petunias, hope they have them at Wal mart, they are not available here. WAVE just keep on blooming, will cover an area over 2 foot diameter from one plant, and no deadheading necessary. it is worth the price.

time to get back to recliner, but first need to find a new book, just finished another. I had read it before, but still enjoyed it, saw some things in it I did not see the first time around.

hugs to all, with extras, till later.

I'm gonna feed everybody early, then crash. I can sleep in tomorrow. Workmen are coming some time during the day to repair a busted water line... the phone company cut through it, and spliced it badly.... and late afternoon I pick up the old ladies. Otherwise, I get a day off.

Hi folks.
So pleased to hear the tour went well Heidi.
Tricia it sounds like you and I are suffering with the same sleeping malady... blaming it on my thyroid & sleep apnoea. I hate having no energy and feeling so tired all the time.. Last set of bloods confirmed that my blood suagar management is ok so thats not it. Need to also get the annual squashy test done so the results will be there next time I see the doctor for a repeat thyroid test. Reading up on alternative therapies to stimulate it..
Great nes Rolanda..exciting!!
I probably said this yesterday but I have no idea how come it is Easter!! Freaking me out how quickly time is passing.

Good Evening, Friends!

Suzy, what an appropriate quote for the TOPP of page 384! I am enjoying getting to know your Mum through the stories you are sharing with us! When you find the time - and are more distanced from the events of the past few weeks, you ought to write down some of the information to share with your Ds and grandies! Your Mum was an extraordinary woman, and they deserve to know that.

Suzy, you have a lot of work ahead, but it's nice that you are able to take some time, make your little discoveries, and spend time with your Mum's friends & neighbors. That's good for you AND good for them to share the time, companionship and stories.

Tami, thank you for bringing us Mama updates! They are very reassuring!

Heidi, congrats on getting the farm ready for the tour.

MizT, so glad the garage sale went well and you survived without too much exhaustion!

Heidi, I'm so glad that Robert is able to help you as much as he does. Thank you for seeing to it that he also has time to spend with his grandfather! As for IH, there should be few surprises left for us as to his character, and yet, he has done it again.

I think you may have discovered something about your friend, Heidi. It may be quite likely that her condition is contributing to her mental state. I'm so sorry that you need to deal with it. Good luck!

I'm falling asleep at the keyboard and having trouble completing sentences. I'm going to leave page 385 for tomorrow. My apologies for not responding to everyone's comments, but please be aware that I have thought of all of you as I read.
, {{{{{HUGS}}}}}, positive thoughts, healing vibes and prayers for Everyone!

I will make a salad with oakleaf lettuce walnuts, pears and blue cheese and baked apples for desert.

June, thank you so much. I bet it does - she'll be itching to get onto a computer to say something nice about it. Not being a cook or a gourmet I didn't get the link between prawns and mussels and fish pies... The salad sounds yummy but I've never had anything like that either...

Heidi, enjoy your day off, you've worked hard to earn it! I hope the new oldies settle in really well.

Blue air here. Neighbour is in fixing mum's cupboard doors. Apparently they are being stubborn about it. He tried to do it when she was here and she kept putting him off, probably because his health isn't too good.

I dropped a big load of clothes off at the op shop today - that was hard. I don't mind seeing things leave the house in the hands of someone I know will love them, but the op shop was different.

Every time I think I've been through everything I find something new! Today I found the scrap books from when Paul was a baby and mum's portfolio from when she was studying at university (she quit before she was finished to take up nursing). I should triple check the corner of that cupboard!

June you are a wonderful, considerate and loving person. Thank you.
Heidi, so hard to see a friend bitter and twisted from the cancer and pain meds. How many times can you tell yourself that is not your friend talking?
Any chance of convincing her that she should leave something good to be remembered by before she goes.
Love and Hugs to you all.

Morning all. Coffee is ready, help yourself. Was in the middle of a nice dream when alarm clock woke me up. I hate when that happens.

Glad to see all is well in sudokuland. Haven't heard from Michella since yesterday AM. She is busy and I hope she is taking care of herself. I worry about her too. Havent' heard if she has received any of the cards yet but I am sure she will let me know when they start to arrive.

Tami, the good part of being woken in the middle of a dream is that you are more likely to remember it. Except for the time I won the lottery but was woken before I got to spend any of the money! I too hope Michella is looking after herself through all of this. She seems to be taking after her mother. Please pass our hugs and thoughts on to her when you hear from her next. I sent a card from here, but even within Australia mail from here seems to take forever.

Rolanda, I'm looking forward to seeing my family again too.. not tomorrow as hoped, and the day after it may be too late at night to be really seeing them again, but eventually.

Mum's neighbour is looking after me. He looked after mum too, but she also looked after him. He needs looking after though as he is not very healthy. His blood pressure has moved to dangerous since mum died. He seems to be trying to do the right things, I hope he is successful! He is insisting on doing things around the house here, I let him because I think it makes him feel better mentally, but wonder about the physical. I recognise that the mental is the reason he is so bad physically though.

I'm exhausted so am going to bed. Have a great day topsiders!

Robert is NOT with his grandfather. The rest of the family is, and will alert him the instant things change. The reason he isn't there is that his (second) ex-wife is going in for dangerous surgery today, and he's taking her to the hospital. She has a failing heart (she's had many heart attacks already) and her kidneys are shutting down. I know she has other problems, too, but forget what they are. Robert decided that she needed him more today than his grandfather does. His grandfather has severe alzheimer's and hasn't recognized anyone in a looooong time.

Yes, I'm trying to remember that with my friend, it's the cancer talking. She's always been self centered anyway, and has always believed that her problems are worse than anybody else's, and far more important. Now she screams at me if I don't wholeheartedly agree with every word she says, no matter how outlandish. She's also demanding that I call her every day. Fortunately, she lives a thousand miles away, or I'd have to spend most of my time with her. It sounds selfish of me, considering what she's going through, but I don't enjoy the abuse she's dumping on me.

IH just walked in to a) hand me a large piece of my sheep trailer that he CLAIMS just "fell off" on it's own..... and b) to tell me that he may not come home tonight. He keeps borrowing the trailer, and has been told to always return it in better condition than he borrowed it in. I also use that trailer for transporting collies. I insist that it be kept sparkling clean inside, and it has thick rubber matts on the floor for sound absorption, good footing and temperature control. I can use straps to hold the trailer together today when I pick up the seniors, then I will have to take it in to be re-welded. It's an aluminum trailer, so it's harder to find someone who can work with it.

Nice nap this morning. Now I'm going to see if I can fix that trailer myself. It probably needs welding, though. He broke a 2 ft. long weld, though he denies backing the trailer into anything. He said that the piece just fell off by itself, for no reason. This reminds me of the time that I came home to find my chest of drawers shattered into kindling, and IH sitting 10 ft away ignoring it. When I asked him about it, he acted startled like he hadn't noticed it, said he hadn't seen the damage, then claimed that he had nothing to do with it, it must have just fallen apart on it's own. I hate liars.

heidi, sorry you lost one of your old ladies, but I a sure you made the right decision. Every time I think you could not possibly top a gil story, you come up with two more that do! Do any of his things ever just fall apart on their own? or is that reserved for your things?

today's nap was before lunch. I was reading, woke an hour later still holding my book. now I am careful not to hold onto a drink of any kind, would not want to wake to hot coffee in my lap

I examined the damage to the trailer. The only way that weld could have broken is if he repeatedly backed the trailer into something hard. He broke off the channel holding the sliding back door on. It will have to be re-welded, and by someone who can weld aluminum. Most people who weld can't do aluminum. Unfortunately, I can't have the dealership fix it. I got it in Iowa, several states away.

Hi everyone. For those not on Facebook just letting you know I took my hubby to Emergency last night with chest pains.
He is still in there while they do tests etc.
It does not look like a heart problem thank heavens but I knew by the colour of his face last night he was in pain. He never gets sick so he is in the best place and maybe they can find out what it is causing the pains.
This morning they are doing an ultrasound and this afternoon stress test.
