The 2 new girls are here, and adjusting quickly. Both already enjoy swimming in my fish pond. I'm not sure the fish enjoy it.

People say you should be happy with who you are
Me I want to change so much it's scary
Love don't you be alarmed
I'm not perfect, I want to do other things ??
Have you ever met a girl with wings

I want to live in the tree
I want to swim with the bees
I want to fly through the water like no other creature has
I want to glide with the fish
Free fall from anything I wish
Be happy doing what I want

Whyyyyy do there have to be so many consequences
And whyyyy are there so many high fences
Keeping me from my dreams

People say that things are impossible
But I know the truth that we're all more than able
I'm not giving up
I'm gonna keep on trying
To change myself for the better.
You don't have to join me, just know I can stand the weather

I'm gonna skip through the clouds
Cartwheel and tumble to the ground
I'm gonna use that pixie dust to make a softer landing
I'm gonna ride a killer whale
Can't wait to flip off his huge tail
I think I'm gonna name him..... Carl

Whyyyy do there have to be so many consequences
And whyyyy are there so many high fences
Keepin me from my dreams

Everybody thinks IH is such a nice guy. But he does have to be experienced to be believed. My neighbor George does a Gil impression that's so good that it brings tears of laughter to my eyes.

Hi everyone!
Suzy, I'm thinking of you as you clear out your Mum's house. I can't imagine how hard that must be. I'm sure so much of what you touch brings back memories.
Mama, get well soon. We all miss you.
Rolanda, enjoy your time with #2. He will be the most spoilt boy in WA over easter. I'm sure you are making all his favourite meals.
Viv, I hope they find out what's wrong with your hubby.
I'm finishing work in a 2 hours time. Yay! Lots to do this afternoon and over easter. Hubby is picking up the new shower tray and tiles today. Work will commmence on getting our ensuite back together.
I'm really looking forward to a few days off - hopefully getting a couple of sleep ins as well.

Happy Easter everyone!

Good maEn everyone!
Sorry, posting without reading. Long day!! Darrell got new tires for the vehicle. He got home last night about 12:30 (I was watching tv when he got home--a rareity--usually in bed about 11 or so). While he did that, I did ffuts around the house. Got the pantry organized, etc. Went to lunch and Wal-Mart ( i HATE Wal-Mart). got home, made dinner, watched Criminal Minds, now watching LA Lakers vs. LA Clippers. Going to bed soon, Darrell already falling asleep now.
Glad to hear Mamacita is getting better. Love & Hugs to all with extras. I may not be here much, but I think of you all always!!
Take care, TTFN

Afternoon all,
I've been getting so many visitors that today I decided to have my shower earlier (I usually wait until after I am covered in dust - it's amazing how much dust can accumulate in a relatively short time here). Big mistake! No visitors so far and I am dripping wet. It's too blasted hot and humid to scrub kitchens and mop floors!!

Greetings, Everyone!

Rolanda, it's no wonder you're excited!

MizT, keeping fingers and toes crossed and thinking positive thoughts that Joy's offer on the condo will be accepted! It sounds like a perfect arrangement!

Heidi, I'm glad the tour went well! I hope you're able to enjoy a bit of relaxation now! I hope the senior ladies make a quick adjustment!

Bean, I wish I knew of a place to purchase human energy! If I find it, I'll let you know! Thyroid problems & sleep apnea are a difficult combination to deal with, as I've also discovered.

June, your dinner sounds fabulous! You are amazing! Thanks for sending the indoor plant for Mama! I need to get to a store and buy a card to send!

Somehow, my days are slipping away, just as yours are, Bean!

Heidi, it must be so difficult to talk to your friend. Does she call you on a land line or mobile? If it's a land line, you could find more reasons to be busy and out of the house.

Heidi, Robert certainly has his hands full - between his grandfather and his ex-wife.

Gail, I am so jealous of you and your recent concert-going! Now Frankie Valli!

Heidi, I'm so sorry to hear about Penny, but the right decision was made. I have an unrelated question: how does IH continue to top his previous actions? It just keeps getting curiouser and curiouser!

Viv, I hope the doctors find only a minor malady for your hubby.

Suzy, thank you for typing the words to Alie's song! I was having difficulty deciphering some of them, too.

Bean, I hope you get lots done!

Vicki, enjoy having a few days off and have a Happy Easter!

Suzanne, have you heard any reactions from the showings of your house? Crossing fingers!

Suzy, thinking of you and knowing how big a job that can be. Hang in there! It will get done, and you will be glad you did it!

I really must get to bed. Thinking of all of you and sending lots of , {{{{{HUGS}}}}}, positive thoughts, prayers, and healing thoughts!

Hi everybody, I've been coming here every day but not posting - don't know why.
Suzy - thanks for posting the words of the song, I had trouble hearing them all. My thoughts are still with you as you continue your clearing out of your Mum's place.
Heidi - sorry about Penny but, I suppose, it was her time to go to the rainbow bridge. Speaking of which, a local friend of mine made that decision earlier this week about the family dog. She was very upset. I sent her the Rainbow Bridge poem - it lifted her spirits immensely. Thanks to Sudokuland, I knew about that!

Cyn, I come here sometimes but feel I do not want to post, other times I have lots I want to say.
Suzy, I feel for you having to be in your Mum's house by yourself and having to sort things. When we did my Mum's, most times either my sister or Ken was with me. and we did not have to stay overnight.
Also Suzy the fish pie had mussels, green prawns and salmon with onions, mushrooms and some herbs and spices. Then a puff pastry top. It was very nice but very filling.
Rolanda, I know you are going to have a wonderful Easter with your #2 son and the rest of your family. Pleased to here the new abode has started.

Evening all,
I'm going to have a day of rest before I head home. I'm absolutely exhausted and think the drive will be safer if I wait another day. All I will have to do tomorrow is vacuum since I've decided I'm not going to do the other stuff I discovered needed doing. I find myself wishing I had a bigger car right now. I don't think you could fit another piece of paper in there!

I've got it locked at the moment, which is unusual for Moulamein. The Confesters are in town and all of those strangers from the big smoke are a bit of a worry. The locals are even putting their seat belts on and not driving drunk because with the Confesters comes an increased police presence. Last year they found a whole lot of drugs... I am not 100% sure, but I think there is a nudity aspect, though that could be something that happens at another time of the year. I'd have to be bl00dy high to get around nekkid!

Happy Easter to all of you lovely people! I will spend it hiding eggs and then giving hints about where they are... assuming I am home by then, which is the plan. I sent a message to hubby and he bought chocolate today. Good man.

Waiting for a phone call from neighbour. It was a long time before I actually knew his name. When mum talked about him she always said neighbour. He does the same about her!! He called me neighbour junior today because I did something mum would normally do. That means I walked down to the pub and drove his car and boat home so he didn't get nicked for drink driving. I've said he should call me to get a ride home himself since his health is not very good. His blood pressure has been through the roof since mum died. They were not a couple, but might as well have been. Apparently they used to finish each other's sentences and act like an old married couple - other than sleeping in different beds in different houses that is.

Morning all. Coffee is brewing and will be ready soon.

Mama update: "Today Mom was breathing well and resting. The cards and flowers started coming yesterday. They are beautiful"

Gail, it was a minor car accident and they put Mama in the hospital for observation as she has COPD. The minor accident caused her to go into respiratory distress, and you know the rest.

But it was a car accident that triggered Mama's respiratory crash. Minor or not, it threatened her life.

The horse shoer will be here in an hour. I need to get dressed and get the horses in. I hope they cooperate. It's the kind of cool morning when they get frisky.

Sugar enjoys being in the house, and has become very friendly. I've already gotten attached to her. I'm not sure about Izzy. I was told she loved being in a house, and wanted to be a house dog. Apparently, not MY house. When I bring her in, she won't leave the kitchen, and has already figured out how to let herself out the dog door to get out of the house. It was a rainy night with brief flare-ups of thunderstorms, but she spent it outside. Unlike Sugar, Izzy is not a purebred collie. The head of the rescue group thought she might be, just very poorly bred. I am convinced that she's not. She also looks funny because she'd been shaved and the hair is now just over an inch long (<3cm) all over.

Five of the seven horses are caught. I just may give up and leave those two to their own devises. These are the ones that I'm offering for sale, but the horse market is abysmal right now and nobody is interested even if they were free.

I want to go back to bed instead. A cool front moved in overnight, so it's great sleeping weather, despite the fact that it's been raining and everything is soaked. The dogs join me on the bed dripping wet.

We had an "interesting" time with the horses. I could only get 5 of them in, and all 5 were on their worst behavior. Even Buddy, who is always perfectly behaved. I think it may be the cold front that just moved in. We went from 82℉ /28℃ yesterday, to 50℉ / 10℃ high today, and it's dropping down to 37℉ / 2.8℃ tonight.
