I have some hopefully good news...
I am so Irish that I am almost NOT game to share it just in case I put a moz on myself... [like I didn't tell most people I was pregnant until I was about 20+ weeks.. my mum was worse... she had only just let on to friends when I ended up in hospital for the remaining weeks at 32 weeks..]

You may or may not remember the bad fall I had 2 or so years ago [before Vici came out]? I have not had a day since without severely limited mobility and pain or been kept awake or woken by the pain in my ankle. Or I hadn't...until yesterday..

The lack of mobility due to my ankle has almost driven me demented and the other day I twisted my ankle in one of the puppies trenches. Hurt like heck and thought I had really torn it.. I'm hoping like mad that I have somehow or other realigned everything in my foot ande that the pain was something good.. I'm now wondering how to strengthen my ankle without stuffing it up.. again.. Fingers crossed everybody... PLEASE!

Broni... That cheap SOB got called every foul name I could think of.
My problem is that I have an over developed sense of honor. I am absolutely incapable of breaking my word. That is why I'm still married to IH. And that is the ONLY reason.

Heidi, I don't think your word applies here as he obviously misrepresented himself, so you promised to stay married to someone completely different to the person you actually ended up married to. If you could lose your farm on the other hand, I'd buy that one.. I'd probably put up with crap to keep something I loved. Probably. Maybe.

Hi, Everyone!

Suzy, you have already accomplished so much! I'm glad Alie is able to help - at least with arranging the cabinet! I hope you don't feel bad about leaving out someone's name in the eulogy. It's difficult to remember everyone at such a time, and impossible to remember someone you didn't even know about!

When my Dad died, I was shocked to read that he had 5 great grandchildren, although none of his grandchildren had a child. (My sister, who had married a man who was previously married and had children, INSISTED that her husband's grandchildren be listed, even though her husband doesn't have contact with one of his Ds and my Dad had never her children.)

MIzT, it's good to hear that pain meds seem to be working. You certainly got a lot done! I'm never quite sure how productive I have been on a day like you had. One thing leads to another, which leads to another. You can actually get quite a bit done, but it isn't what you set out to accomplish when you began.

Suzy, the big tree registry is very interesting. (Is that the tree on your personal page? VERY old and special!)

Heidi, Your body was really telling you to slow down! FOURTEEN hours of sleep! My back would be really complaining if I were in bed that long. I think one of the reasons that I get so little sleep and run on "empty" much of the time is because too much time in bed makes it nearly impossible to get out of bed and start moving. BTW, IH's idea of good music is questionable, but then you already knew that. He also has peculiar ideas about salary and loan repayment!

Hi, Bean and Broni! Sending {{{{HUGS}}}} your way!

Bean, fingers and toes crossed tightly! Some people would say to wrap your ankle or wear support. I would suggest in addition to that, if you have access to a swimming pool, walk laps in the shallow portion. It will give you range of motion with just a portion of body weight and some mild resistance from the water.

Suzy, you have made some excellent points. IH is obviously not the person he represented himself to be when he married Heidi.

And now, I'm off to bed. {{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}, , healing vibes, positive thoughts and prayers for all!

Morning all. Coffee is ready, help yourself.

Bean, keeping good thoughts that you can strengthen your ankle. Julie had a good idea about walking in the pool. It can't hurt to try it.

Rolanda, I know you miss him but enjoy the peace and quiet. You earned it.

I have voted for Natahlia.
Thought I had better bundy in or you will think I am MIA.
A couple of busy days. Yesterday at Belinda's and did some cleaning and gardening. You could not find her concrete paths as the grass had grown over them. Then today we have been trying to get rid of some of our weeds and Ken dug out my big patch of agapanthus around the letter box. The water board complained as they had grown right over the water meter.
My back has been doing a bit of niggling as a result so hope I do not have trouble bowling tomorrow. All the other grades have finished their Pennant Games (competition against other clubs) but we still have 3 games to play.

Heidi, hope your back feels better and hope it was only caused from being in bed for so long. I guess you really needed that long sleep though.
Bean, do hope your ankle gets better. I have some 'supports for my wrist and knee that I bought for $2.50 each at a discount ($2 store)shop that I find give me a lot of relief when I use them.
Tami, hope Dylan's hand soon heals. My daughter has a plate in her hand as she broke several bones.
Has anyone heard how Viv's husband got on with his trip to emergency?
Tricia, hope everything going well for Joy's house and that you are getting plenty of sleep with no pain.

Bean, if you're doing anything where you could hurt your ankle again, definitely wear something to protect it!! For young folks they don't recommend wearing supports the rest of the time because that would inhibit strengthening of the muscles. I'm not sure if that applies to we young, but not as young as we used to be folk.

As I said, I have an over developed sense of honor. It doesn't matter how much he misrepresented himself, nor does it matter that he fools around. I cannot sink to his level. And his level is that which is found under a rock. In the same vein, I cannot make idle threats, either. If I say I'm gonna do something, I do it. That includes revenge.
Hmmmmm .... maybe I need to get some more fluorescent spray paint.... his truck could use some more graffiti.

Speaking of IH, he's just been caught out in ANOTHER lie. Awhile ago, I discovered that there was no water coming out of the hydrant for the horses. My immediate thought was that IH hadn't paid the water bill. When I confronted him with this, he swore he had paid it, then said that he would call the water company to make sure. Ten minutes later, he came up to me and said that he had just called them, and our account was up-to-date. He then said that he discussed the water usage pattern with them, and they'd determined that we had a broken water line somewhere. He then assumed that the break was where the phone company had cut through the water line and spliced it. So he called the phone company and asked them to come and fix it. The phone company repair people were just here. The line was NOT broken. The water company had turned off the water for lack of payment. IH... Is... Going... To... Wish... He... Was... Dead.

Good Maen everyone! Pretty morning here, supposed to be in the upper 70's. Spent yesterday gninaelc the pantry and fridge and reorganizing everything. I had spices & seasonings that expired in 2010!! Guess I'd better keep better inventory!!
Heidi: It sounds like you have the patience of Job!!! Does this fall under "justifiable homicide"??? Hang in there sweetheart!!! I'm here if you need anything.
Had more to say, but need more coffee. See you all later. Love & Hugs with extras!

BEAN When I broke my ankle they had me doing mild exercises while sitting. One I remember is "writing" your name with your big toe, in the air, just moving that ankle around. then there is the point and flex your toe, sit and do toe rises, no weight but you get the motion. Draw circles with your foot. those are the ones I remember, but they did strengthen my ankle.

heidi, I like Suzy's logic there. Gil is not the person you made the promises too, so you do not have to honor those promises. Sounds reasonable to me. OOOPS, you already commented on her logic, never mind.

One more thing that will not be my problem once I move. Washer overflowed today on pump out cycle. Lines are clogged somewhere, aaaggghhhh. Luckily I caught it fore it pumped the entire contents on the floor. By stopping the machine and letting the lines drain down, then starting again for a few seconds, I was able to finish the laundry. I will add treating the drain lines to my to-do list today.

I have my pillows on the line, sunning. today is a nice low humidity day with lots of sun, feathers should plump up nicely and they will smell sweet tonight. I do need to wash them again fore I move, will not have a place to hang them outside to dry after, and they dry so much better in the sunshine.

heidi, does he really think he can get away with those lies? does he think you will not check and find the truth? Or is he so out of touch with reality he really does not know the truth? I am beginning to think that is a possibility, some form of brain damage. Is he using drugs? Drinking to excess? or does he have Alzheimer's? I really wonder sometimes.

More ffuts to do today, and feeling almost good enough to do it. time to get the sheets on the line, love being able to hang them out in the sun to dry, and that is something I will NOT be able to do one i move.

Did I break the site? I do not see any new posts since this morning.

Humidity was extremely low this morning, my sheets dried in less than an hour, how nice.

I am hoping I do not have to turn on AC, temp is up up inside, but cause of the low humidity, so far, I am managing.

OK, time to get one more chore off the list before food flinging time. Hugs to each of you.

I have been busy. Robert and I got 43 post holes dug, then we took the trailer to the farm store and picked up 41 posts (we had 2 left from the other side) and then we went and bought a motorcycle. We're temporarily co-owning it until Robert pays it off. Tomorrow, after we put all of the posts in the holes, I'm picking up my new Utility 4 wheeler. It seats 2, has 4WD, a winch, and a top, and has a large dump bed in back. I've told IH nothing about these purchases. And it's really none of his business.

Good morning all - another Easter over.
Col is back at work today after 4 weeks off. I'll miss him and worse than that - he'll soon get back to the stage where he comes home, eats and then falls asleep in front of the TV. Exciting stuff! But we did have a great holiday, met some lovely Sudoku people and had the last week just relaxing.

I understood Gail's 'new normal'. I've been in it for months now and am basically dealing with it. Yesterday I had to meet some of the family for lunch at a local hotel. The quickest way to get there was past the hospital/care home where my Mum passed away. I took a detour so I didn't have to drive past, it was just easier than getting that melancholy feeling.
Suzy, you've had a busy few weeks with lots of ups and downs - I hope the 'new normal' settles onto you and if you're feeling down, give that gorgeous little girl a cuddle!
Rolanda - I hope the visit from Stephen for Easter helped you get rid of some of your sadness as well.
Big hugs to you both and know that there's many of us here who understand.

Morning all,
I don't think I'll get to the new normal until everything is done. I keep getting calls and emails from the executor. I'm so glad mum was smart enough not to make me executor because I couldn't handle that stress right now. There's lots of stuff everywhere too.

Heidi, IHs latest lie makes no sense at all, especially if he called the phone company to make the repair. I hope he has to pay a bill for that one.

Hi all. I heard from Michella this morning. No real news. They are working on weaning her from the ventilator. She looks more like herself and is enjoying all the cards that are coming. All we can do know is just keep praying for her to regain her strength. Her daughter is realizing that we are circling the globe with love and prayers and she is amazed by that. I don't know if she realized how much Ouima is loved.

It sure was nice to have the boy home for a few days. Those 4 days went by in a flash.

#1 boy's girl, has gallstones, they spent the day at the Hospital yesterday, she is home now.
Guess she will be on the public hospital waiting list to have them removed

Rolanda, a part of the problem here is that my bro couldn't handle being in the house so I got to go through everything, (he didn't know the answer to any of the questions about family history either, that's kind of sad.)
